고휘(Hui Gao),이형옥(Hyung-Ok Lee),남지승(Ji-Seung Nam) 한국컴퓨터정보학회 2012 한국컴퓨터정보학회 학술발표논문집 Vol.20 No.1
Wireless mesh networks are considered a promising solution to last mile broadband. The unique characteristics of WMN impose unique requirements on designing routing protocols and metrics for WMN. However, existing routing schemes that are designed for single-channel multi-hop wireless networks may lead to inefficient routing paths in multichannel. This paper focuses on the routing problem for multi-radio multichannel WMNs. We list the challenges in designing routing algorithms for multi-radio multichannel WMNs. Then we examine the requirements and considerations for designing routing metrics according to the characteristics of multi-radio multichannel WMNs. Finally we survey and investigate the existing routing metrics in terms of their ability to satisfy these requirements.

This paper proposes a channel diversity based load-balancing cross-layer routing scheme for Wireless Mesh Networks (WMNs). The proposed scheme deals with channel diversity phase and load balancing phase in WMNs. Channel diversity factor metricch-d and load balancing factor fload are defined and employed cooperatively as a combined path selection policy.

Multipath routing is proposed to perform better load balancing and to provide high fault tolerance. In this paper common factors on multi-path routing for WMNs are discussed and joint multi-channel and multipath routing approaches for load balancing are introduced at the same time. The key issues on how to design an effective multi-path routing protocol with appropriate performance metrics for WMNs are also discussed through the case studies in the paper

Background/Aims: Colorectal cancer is the third leading incidence of malignant tumour in the world and the incidence of colorectal cancer has steadily been increasing in Asia in recently years. The aim of our study is to determine the basic demographic features of patients with colorectal cancer and the anatomic distribution and characteristics of the tumour in Guangdong population. Methods: A review of patients from 1990 to 2004 at five hospitals was conducted, including Peal Triangle Area in Guangdong (Nanfang Hospital and Huizhou Central People`s Hospital), North area of Guangdong (Shaoguan North-Guangdong People`s Hospital), West area of Guangdong (Affiliated Hospital Guangdong Medical Institute) and East area of Guangdong (Meizhou People`s Hospital). Results: Analysis was carried out on 6,501 patents, only 6,488 cases provided age. The age ranged from 5 years old to 91 years old and the mean age of 6,488 cases is 59. 5.2% (340/6,488) of the patients was young CRC patients. The peak incidence was between the ages 61 and 70 years old (29.5%). The mean age increases from 55 years old (1990-1992) to 61 years old (2002-2004) and the proportion of young CRC patients descends from 7.1% to 3.5%. The make to female ratio is 1.5:1 and the ratio increased with age increasing. Of 6,501 lesions, 3,423 (52.7%) were located in rectum and 3,078 (47.3%) in colon, the ratio of rectum cancer to colon cancer is 1.1:1. The proportion of rectum cancer decreased significantly from 74.5% (1990-1992) to 64.9% (2002-2004) and that of the right sides colon cancer increased from 25.5% to 35.1%. In four different areas, the mean age of CRC increasing and East area of Guangdong ranked the fist. There was no significant difference in the ratio of male to female. Conclusions: The demography of colorectal cancer in Guangdong is different from before and further study should be pursued to find the reason.
Tracking Control for a Quadrotor via Dynamic Surface Control and Adaptive Dynamic Programming
Qiang Gao,Xin-Tong Wei,Da-Hua Li,Yue-Hui Ji,Chao Jia 제어·로봇·시스템학회 2022 International Journal of Control, Automation, and Vol.20 No.1
In this paper, a data-driven control algorithm based on the Dynamic Surface Control and the ActionDependent Heuristic Dynamic Programming is proposed to realize the stable tracking control of the quadrotor. Firstly, the dynamic surface control is addressed for the nonlinear model of the quadrotor, which can overcome the “explosion of complexity” problem encountered in traditional back-stepping method inevitably. The controller designed by Dynamic Surface Control is served as the main controller in the total control structure. Secondly, the Action-Dependent Heuristic Dynamic Programming is investigated to construct a complementary attitude controller by involving the learning mechanism. The adoption of Action-Dependent Heuristic Dynamic Programming can provide the capability of adaptation and disturbance rejection to improve the tracking control performance effectively. The overall closed-loop system is proved to be asymptotically stable by the Lyapunov theorem. Finally, the numerical simulation and flight experiments are presented to demonstrate that the proposed tracking control scheme exhibits an excellent tracking performance in the case of external disturbances.
Understanding Channel-diversity Oriented Routing Metrics for Multicast in Wireless Mesh Networks
고휘 ( Hui Gao ),남지승 ( Ji-seung Nam ) 한국정보처리학회 2013 한국정보처리학회 학술대회논문집 Vol.20 No.1
Issues on design of routing scheme and routing metric for multicast in multi-channel multi-radio (MCMR) wireless mesh networks (WMNs) are discussed. Emphasis is placed on channel-diversity oriented routing metrics. From case study the conclusion to be drawn is that the key for design of channel-diversity oriented routing metrics is how to construct an optimization function to quantify interdependence between channel assignment and multicast routing throughput.

There has been growing interest in multicast technologies for wireless mesh networks with increasing demand for enjoying seamless multimedia broadcast service such as mobile IPTV anytime anywhere for any content on any device. This paper addressed the factors that should be considered when designing multicast algorithm in WMNs. Several routing metrics which are adapted for WMNs based multicast are described in detail to show that the main design goal for multicast metric is to achieve high throughput. Those metrics that take into account the characteristics of WMNs such as wireless broadcast advantage or channel diversity can arrange load balancing more effectively.
