Bending Properties of Anisotropic Conductive Films Assembled Chip-in-Flex Packages for Wearable Electronics Applications

<P>In this paper, a chip-in-flex (CIF) assembly that has an excellent bending performance, including a minimum bending radius without a chip fracture and the capacity to withstand dynamic bending, is developed. Chip-on-flex (COF) and CIF assemblies are fabricated using anisotropic conductive films (ACFs) as interconnection materials. The COF package is composed of 40-mu m-thin silicon chips, ACF, and flexible substrates. The CIF package is fabricated by attaching a cover adhesive film and a polyimide film on the COF package to encapsulate the silicon chip. Through static bending tests, the optimal thickness of the cover adhesive film is established. The optimized CIF assembly allows a minimum bending radius of 4 mm without a chip fracture, while the chip in the COF assembly fractures at a bending radius of 10 mm. A finite-element analysis of the static bending test is performed to understand the internal stress state of the assemblies. A bending reliability test of the CIF package is also conducted at a bending radius of 7.5 mm for 160k cycles, by measuring the daisy-chain resistance during the test. The effect of the elastic modulus of the ACF resin on the fatigue endurance is investigated through the bending fatigue test. The higher modulus of the ACF resin resulted in excellent fatigue reliability with stable ACF joints showing neither delamination nor resin crazing after 160k cycles of bending.</P>

To evaluate the effectiveness of early third trimester (26-30 weeks gestation) emergency cervical cerclage on pregnancy outcome in women with cervical incompetence. Medical records were reviewed for demographic and clinical data, gestational age at cerclage, functional cervical length after cerclage, cerclage-delivery interval, gestational age at delivery, and neonatal birth weight. Forty-one patients underwent emergency cervical cerclage between 16-30 weeks gestation. Sixteen patients underwent cerclage at 16-21 6/7 weeks (Period I); 12 patients, at 22-25 6/7 weeks (Period II); and 13 patients, at 26-29 6/7 weeks (Period III). There were no significant differences among Periods I, II, and III with respect to functional cervical length after cerclage (2.6 ± 0.6, 2.4 ± 0.3, and 2.3 ± 0.5 cm, respectively), cerclage-to-delivery interval (71.7 ± 54.2, 69.2 ± 36.3, and 55.5 ± 25.2 days, respectively), gestational age at delivery (30 2/7 weeks ± 59 days, 34 5/7 weeks ± 36 days, and 35 3/7 weeks ± 30 days, respectively), rate of deliveries after 28 weeks (56.2, 83.3, and 84.6%, respectively), rate of deliveries after 32 weeks (50.0, 75.0, and 84.6%, respectively), rate of deliveries after 36 weeks (37.5, 58.3, and 53.8%, respectively), or neonatal birth weight (1871 ± 1473, 2588 ± 1006, and 2678 ± 944 g, respectively). Gestational age at emergency cerclage and gestational age at delivery were significantly correlated (p=0.001, R2 = 0.24). These results address the benefits of attempting emergency cerclage during the early third trimester.

윤대녕 소설의 노스탤지어 미학

본고는 윤대녕의 『은어낚시통신』 에 나타난 노스탤지어의 의미를 구명하고자 한다. 윤대녕의 노스탤지어는 단순히 한 개인의 추억을 서술한 것으로, 밀레니엄을 앞둔 90년대 문학의 경향으로 논의되어 왔다. 이 글에서는 윤대녕이 부여한 ‘노스탤지어’를 과거의 기억들을 활용하여, 그의 사고 속에 자유롭게 편집하고 통합하여 현재의 ‘나’를 만드는 의미있는 정체성의 기체로 파악하였다. 윤대녕의 유년기에는 아버지와 삼촌이 큰 영향을 미쳤다. 이들은 작가의 개인적인 트라우마를 넘어서 작품 전반에 창작의 아이디어를 주는 모체이다. 윤대녕 소설에서는 “공동체”에서 빠져나와 ‘집단’으로부터 탈주하는 주인공들이 등장한다. 윤대녕 소설에 등장하는 남자주인공은 몰개성적인 존재가 아니라, 삶에 적응하지 못하고 ‘언더’의 모습을 감춘 존재들이다. 이들은 문화적 향수감을 인위적으로 기억하는 과정을 공유함으로써, 사회적 마이너리티의 공간을 재창조한다. 한 세기 전에 유행한 대중문화, 익숙한 시인의 이름 나열, 지방 변두리 공간의 소재화는 과거의 잊혀진 기억을 부르는 노스탤지어로 작동한다. 그러나 리얼리티가 떨어지는 이 소재들은 윤대녕의 허무 의식을 극대화하는 장치로 연결된다. 특히 ‘은어’는 회귀성이 강한 동물로, 이는 되돌릴 수 없는 과거에 대한 동경을 넘어서, 치유할 수 없었던 작가의 상처를 극복하는 연장선에 있다. 윤대녕은 한 인간에게 닥친 가장 처절한 순간을 복원하는 길이, 오히려 생의 가장 큰 버팀목이 될 수 있는 길임을 깨달았던 것이다. The primary purpose of this paper is to search which Yoon Dae-nyoung"s nostalgia ideas in A silver fish hooking communications 『은어낚시통신』 is originated in. As is well known, nostalgia is considered as a personal recollection or a tendency toward millenium, but this paper focuses on the nostalgia"s aesthetics. The nostalgia in a work of arts is able to make his personal trauma and establish his own identity. Yoon"s father and uncle had a decisive effect on his literary idea. This characters are all variations on the theme of social minority. They shares memory with old fashioned culture, conventional korean poet"s name, suburb, it is necessary that regarded as artificial manipulation of time, More to the point, it emphasize on Yoon"s nihilism. He strived to investigate the real meaning of "a silver fish", which is instinctively to return to where they were born, in this novel. According to Yoon, through literary symbol of "a silver fish" convey the meaning reflective nostalgia, he is able to heal the wound his painful breakup.

현대문학 : 경성제대 문청으로서의 이효석과 초기 번역소설의 가치

본고는 경성제대의 학술 잡지인, 『문우』, 『신흥』, 『청량』에 번역 작품을 게재한 초창기 이효석의 ‘비소설’을 주목하고, 이효석 문학의 원천을 고찰한 글이다. 이효석은 경성제대 재학 시절 뛰어난 ‘번역’ 실력으로 문단의 주목을 받았다. 이러한 번역 작품은 이효석 문학의 모티프를 제공했을 뿐만아니라, 그의 무의식을 직조하는데 큰 기여를 하였다. 이효석이 번역한 러디아드 키플링(Rudyard Kipling) 「기원후의 의너스」는 아버지와 아들이한 여자를 사랑하는 「개살구」와 유관하며, 「밀항자」는 조선의 문화를 이국의 문화와 견주어 비교하는 그의 문학관 전반의 테마와 연결되었다. 이효석의 경성제대 독서체험은 세계문학과 일본문학, 그리고 조선문학이라는 세가지 경계속에서 자신을 지우며 소설을 창작할 기반을 마련하고 있었다. 그의 대학시절의 글쓰기는 식민지 문청의 ‘전사’를 탐색할잣대가 될뿐더러, 능동적으로 자기 스스로 문학적 위상을 세우고 정체성을 찾아나가는 도정을 증명하고 있었다. This paper examines Lee hyo suk`s translated novel published in Kyungsung Imperial University. Lee was always considered writers because of the symbolic capital Kyungsung Imperial University. By publishing translated works or academic papers in the university`s journals, such as Moonu(『文友』), Shin-heung(『新興』), and Cheong-Ryang(『淸凉』), the two were testing literary outlets even before they became published writers. Through their journal publications (journal-related activities), Lee was already enjoying a virtual experience of the literary world. The works he translated while attending Kyungsung Imperial University not only provided Lee with motifs for his novels but were also a means of constructing an unconscious with which to compare Chosun and other cultures. Importing foreign culture into Chosun necessarily involves cultural syncretism, but is also a part of the continuous process of cultures reshaping each other. Lee, during his Kyungsung University days, was already establishing the universal anthropological perspective that no single culture should be dominant. He was looking for an identity as a writer while translated the novel.

Mycobacterial strains are potent inducers of cytokines/chemokines by mononuclear phagocytes, which constitute an important cellular component of the first line of defense in the innate immune system. Interferon $(IFN)-{\gamma}-inducible$ protein (IP-10 or CXCL10) is a potent chemoattractant; however, little is known about the IP-10 profiles attributable to the Th1 regulation associated with active tuberculosis (TB). In this study, we investigated the production of IP-10, interleukin (IL)-12 p40, and $IFN-{\gamma}$ by the peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) of patients with active pulmonary TB in response to in vitro stimulation with Triton X-100 soluble proteins (TSPs) or the 30-kDa antigen. The TSP antigens used in the present study were isolated and purified from Mycobacterium tuberculosis H37Rv (virulent strain), M. tuberculosis H37Ra (avirulent strain), and Mycobacterium bovis BCG. The results were compared with those obtained for healthy tuberculin reactors (HTRs). Concordant with earlier studies, $IFN-{\gamma}$ production was significantly depressed in the PBMCs from TB patients compared with those in the HTR group. However, the IP-10 levels in the PBMCs from TB patients were significantly elevated 18 h after stimulation compared to those in the PBMCs from HTRs. IP-10 release was correlated in a significant manner with the release of $IFN-{\gamma}$in the HTRs, but this was not the case for the TB patients. Collectively, these data suggest that TB patients show altered regulation of Th1-driving cytokine and chemokine production in response to a variety of mycobacterial antigens.
