The Primary factor of periodontal diseases is bacterial plaque. En the treatment of periodontitis, removal of subgingival calculus is an essential factor in the successful treatment. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the clinical effects over 3 weeks, 6 weeks and 9 weeks following sealing and root planning. This study was carried out on 14 individuals with periodontitis. For this study, 91 teeth were selected. The subjects were separated into three group on the basis of initial probing depth(PD). These were consisted of group I(PD(3㎜). group Ⅱ(3mm(PD(6mm) ,group Ⅲ(PD)6mm). Probing depth were recorded on baseline, 3weeks, 6weeks and 9weeks after scaling and root planning. All data analyzed statically. The results were as follows 1. For single rooted teeth of group Ⅱ and Ⅲ, there was statistically significant decrease in probing depth according to time course, tooth position than baseline(p<0.05). 2. For multirooted teeth of group Ⅱ and Ⅲ, there was statistically significant decrease in probing depth according to time course. tooth position than baseline(p<0.05). 3. For single and multirooted teeth of group Ⅰ, there was not statically signiftcant decrease in probing depth(p>0.05). 4. Between single and multirooted teeth. there was not statistically significant decrease in probing depth(p>0.05).

Highway congestion, traffic-related pollution, and difficulty locating travel destinations are some of the mounting problems facing most Korean drivers on a regular basis. ITS (Intelligent Transportation Systems) is an integrated system aiming to improve the transportation efficiency of existing road infrastructure, enhance the safety of driving, and save the transportation cost in terms of mitigating the traffic congestion by using advanced information, telecommunication, sensing, and control technologies. In this study, we are intended to assess the properties and application method of wireless communications either existing commercial systems or none existing dedicated wireless systems (e.g., Paging, Wireless Data, Cellular Radio Communication, Personal Communication Systems, and FPLMTS) and provide solutions to select a possible communication method to realize the Intelligent Transportation Systems.
DS-CDMA 의 용량개선을 위한 다중사용자 복조시스템

In this paper, we research the concepts and classes of Multi-User Detection Systems. MUD holds much promise for improving DS-CDMA performance and capacity. Multiple access interference significantly limits the performance and capacity of conventional DS-CDMA systems. In MUD, code and timing information of multiple users is jointly used to better detect each individual user. The optimum multi-user sequence detector is known, and provides huge gains in performance and capacity over the conventional detector ; it also minimizes the need for power control. Unfortunately, it is too complex to implement for practical DS-CDMA systems. Many simpler suboptimal MUD have been proposed in the last few years, all of which have the potential to provide substantial performance and capacity gains over the conventional detector. Most of the detectors fall into two categories : linear and subtractive interference cancellation.
제3세대 시스템을 위한 무선접속방식의 비교-Ⅰ : TDMA 및 CDMA 기반 무선접속기술

In this paper, we persents an overview of worldwide air interface research activities and result of performance comparison analysis which regards to CDMA and TDMA based multiple access schemes for third generation mobile communication named IMT-2000. Considering systems are CDMA based FRAMES FMA2 and CODIT and TDMA based FREAMES FMA1 and ATDMA. As a result of performance comparison analysis, CDMA and TDMA schemes show almost equal performance. But the decisive factor is advanced technique such as interference cancellation methods which applied to receiver.
제3세대 시스템을 위한 무선접속방식의 비교-Ⅱ : 혼합 TDMA/CDMA 방식

In this paper, we examined TDMA/CDMA hybrid cell schemes which use the merit of TDMA and CDMA schemes. The candidates are as follows. TDMA/CDMA hybrid schemes of FRAMES FMA1(TDMA with spread), Intracell TDMA/Intercell CDMA hybrid cell schemes and TDMA/CDMA : multicode. If we combine these hybrid schemes with hierarchical cell systems, we acquire much performance improvement. On the other hand, we have a tendency to faded the merit of use of TDMA and CDMA schemes individually (e.g. spreading gain of CDMA system are reduced). Therefore appropriate combination of these two schemes guarantee the success of hybrid cell systems.

In this paper, we proposed pilot channel assisted MMSE-RAKE receiver, which use adaptive filter to provide relatively simple structure and good performance in the DS/CDMA downlink. Especially, utilizing normalized LMS(NLMS) algorithm to resolve the defect of LMS algorithms. And we explained pilot channel assisted method to estimate the multipath fading channel coefficients. With the result of performance analysis, we accepts that the adaptive MMSE-RAKE receiver much relys on the performance of channel estimator.

In this paper, a high-fidelity wireless microphone system with 16 channels in UHF band have been designed and implemented. According to the table of radio frequency allocation, a frequency for the wireless microphone is allocated in radio band from 740MHz to 752MHz and maximum frequency deviation is ±75KHz. The wireless microphone system have been designed with frequency modulation, PLL(Phase Locked Loop) frequency synthesized method, dual conversion, preemphasis/deemphasis and commander of 2:1 type. The wireless microphone system have been designed in this study has a frequency response from 50 to 20,000Hz and THD(Total Harmonic Distortion) lower then 1%. A high-fidelity audio can be transmitted through the air by the designed wireless microphone system Kevword'UHF Wireless Microphone, PLL, FM.

A 33-year-old female was admitted to our hospital due to removal of lung mass which indicentally detected Chest radiography. Chest computerized tomography revealed lung parenchymal cystic lesion. Open thoracotomy was done for diagnosis and therapy. Cystic lesion was communicated to bronchus and wedge resection including cystic lesion was done. Bronchogenic cyst is congenital disease and mainly locate in mediastinum. It is rare in lung parenchyme. Herein we report a case of intrapulmonary bronchogenic cyst.
Influence of <i>Panax ginseng</i> on the offspring of adult rats exposed to prenatal stress

<P>The exposure of pregnant females to stress during a critical period of fetal brain development is an environmental risk factor for the development of schizophrenia in adult offspring. Schizophrenia is a group of common mental disorders of unclear origin, affecting approximately 1% of the global population, showing a generally young age at onset. In the present study, a repeated variable stress paradigm was applied to pregnant rats during the final week of gestation. The effects of an extract of <I>Panax ginseng</I> C.A. Meyer (PG) on rats exposed to prenatal stress (PNS) were investigated in terms of behavioral activity and protein expression analyses. In the behavioral tests, grooming behavior in a social interaction test, line-crossing behavior in an open-field test and swimming activity in a forced-swim test were decreased in the rats exposed to PNS compared with the non-stressed offspring; the changes in behavioral activity were reversed upon oral treatment with PG (300 mg/kg). Subsequently, western blot analysis and immunohistochemical analyses of the prefrontal cortex and hippocampus revealed that the downregulation of several neurodevelopmental genes which occurred following exposure to PNS was reversed upon treatment with PG. The current findings demonstrate that the downregulation of several genes following exposure to PNS may affect subsequent behavioral changes, and that these phenomena are reversed following treatment with PG during pregnancy. Our results suggest that oral treatment with PG reduces the incidence of psychiatric disorders, such as schizophrenia.</P>
