A randomized response design which extending the Bourke's (2*k) categorical data to (2*2*k) categorical data and the estimation method for population proportions π which using the linear model are studied. The multi-proportions randomized response model by using the standard latin square method is also studied, and it's efficiency is showed by empirical example.

This study was conducted to evaluate the response of CIDR-S on estrus synchronization of dairy goats and the effect of artificial insemination on conception rate. Estrus synchronization of sexually matured Saanen goats was induced with insertion of CIDR-S into vagina for 15 days and injection of 500 IU PMSG before removal of CIDR-S. Artificial insemination was conducted using liquid or frozen semen by intra-cervical insemination with synchronized does. Estrus synchronization was 90% using CIDR-S insertion for 15 days. Conception rate of inseminated does was 20% - 25%, while that of natural mated does was 100%. These results suggested that synchronization of dairy goats can be successfully induced and artificial insemination method has to be improved for the practical use in dairy goats.

The purpose of this study was to explore the characteristics of Satisfaction on the Family Role Performance of Spouse(SFRPS) perceived by husbands and wives in Korea. The subjects of this study were 300 husbands and wives aged from the 30s to the 40s. SFRPS is composed of affection & sexual role, childrearing & education role, housework & home management role, and kinship & community role. The major findings were as follows; 1. Most of SFRPS, husbands reported higher scores than wives did. The satisfaction on the affection & sexual role of spouse was the lowest in both husbands and wives. But the satisfaction on the childrearing & education role of spouse was the highest in both husbands and wives. There was a difference between husbands and wives in the satisfaction on the housework & home management role of spouse. Husbands' satisfaction scores was higher than those of wives. And also there was a difference between husbands and wives in the satisfaction on the kinship & community role of spouse. Husbands' satisfaction was higher than wives. 2. In the ages, generally the 30s reported higher satisfaction scores than the 40s did SFRPS. 3. There was high correlation between total SFRPS and each role. 4. For wives, the more children they have and the longer the duration of marriage, the less education, SFRPS was less. For husbands, SFRPS was not significantly correlated with the number of children. And also, the more duration of marriage, the less education, the SFRPS was less.

A novel antimicrbial peptide , named HFS-I, was isolated and characterized from the skin of the hagfish, Eptatretus bugeri. The decapeptide with a molecular mass of 1279.5 Da was purified to homogeneity using a gel-filtration column, ion-exchange and C18 reverse-phase high performance liquid chromatograpy . The complete amino acid sequence of HFS-I, which was determined by a combination of an automated amino acid sequencing and FAB-MS, was F-P-W-W-L-S-G-K-Y-P-NH2. Comparison of the amino acid sequence with those of other known antimicrobial peptides revealed that HFS-I was a novel antimicrobial peptide. HFS-I showed a weak antimicrobial activity in vitro aganinst a broad spectrum of microorganism without hemolytic acitivity.
