Creativity in Gifted & Talented Children

The aim of the research was to study the creativity of G&T children. It has been emphasised in different theories that creativity is an essential factor in the configuration and measurement of G&T students’ cognitive profile. Therefore, it is important to understand how giftedness and creativity can be identified and assessed. The assessment of creativity in G&T children mainly focuses on using TTCT to understand the complex creativity of those children. This article presents an empirical study carried out in Murcia (Spain) orientated towards comparing creativity between G&T and non-gifted or non-talented. The results indicated that gifted and creative talented children scored higher than non-G&T children. Gifted children showed greater flexibility, which means that they have a high ability to manage and process different types of information. It was also found that creatively talented children showed higher scores in originality, mental flexibility and fluency.

Allergic disease is among the most common pathologies worldwide and its prevalence has constantly increased up to the present days, even if according to the most recent data it seems to be slightly slowing down. Allergic disease has not only a high rate of misdiagnosis and therapeutic inefficacy, but represents an enormous, resource-absorbing black hole in respiratory and general medicine. The aim of this paper is to summarize principal therapeutic innovations in atopic disease management befallen in the recent years in terms of personalized/precision medicine.

<P>A new ZnPc–PDI dyad presenting for the first time a charge-separated state lower in energy than the triplet excited state of the ZnPc and PDI has been synthesized. The rational design implies the substitution of the ZnPc with phenoxy groups and the bay substitution of the PDI with sulfonyl substituents. Macrocell Corrosion Currents in Simulated Concrete Pore Solution and Reinforced Concrete

Chloride-induced rebar corrosion is one of the main causes of damage in reinforced concrete structures (RCS). Chloride attacks lead to depassivation creating pits, which can imply major losses of sections. The current generated at these spots (microcell) is contributed by the current produced between corroded and uncorroded areas (macrocell). The influence of both currents has been deeply investigated based on solution studies, which do not actually represent the behaviour of concrete-embedded elements. The studies about macrocell currents in solution are interesting to analyse this phenomenon quickly and simply. However, they must not be interpreted as the reality of RCS because this requires studies using rebars embedded in concrete. The performed experimental plan verified this fact. In addition, another objective of this study was to analyse the influence of concrete’s electrical resistance and the limiting effect of the cathode/anode surface (Cs/As) ratio on macrocell currents in solution and in concrete. For this study, specimens manufactured using concretes with different properties were used: standard concrete (SC), high-performance concrete (HPC), very high-performance concrete (VHPC) and ultra-high performance-fibre reinforced concrete (UHPFRC). The conclusions show how the Cs/As ratio plays a key role in regulating macrocell current intensity, but what really governs this phenomenon is concrete resistivity because it regulates the participation of a bigger or smaller cathode surface. The influence of this parameter as a limiting factor of macrocell currents is fundamental, especially in high resistivity concretes like VHPC and UHPFRC.
온도특성을 고려한 과학기술위성 3호 삼중접합 태양전지의 전기적 특성 분석

태양전지판은 임무수행에 필요한 전력을 생성하는 장치이다. 임무궤도 및 자세에 따라 태양전지판에서 생성되는 전력은 다르게 나온다. 따라서, 발사전에 태양전지판의 전기적 특성을 분석하여 임무수행에 필요한 전력을 생성하도록 하여야 한다. 특히, 태양전지는 임무궤도와 자세에 따라 입사광의 분포가 다르게 되어 생성되는 출력이 변하게 된다. 본 연구에서는 과학기술위성 3호의 임무궤도와 자세에 따른 전기적 특성을 분석하였으며, 발사 후 어느정도의 출력을 갖는지 해석하였다. The solar array panels is crucial equipment for generation of electrical power. Depending mission orbit and attitude of satellite, the output power will change. Thus, before launching satellite, the power budget and analysis shall be performed to meet proper power generation from the solar array panels. Especially, the solar incident will change by orbit and attitude, then the output power will also change. In this work, we were performed the electrical power characteristics of STSAT-3 considering mission orbit and attitude and analyzed its performance.

<P>Identifying direct substrates targeted by protein kinases is important in understanding cellular physiology and intracellular signal transduction. Mass spectrometry-based quantitative proteomics provides a powerful tool for comprehensively characterizing the downstream substrates of protein kinases. This approach is efficiently applied to receptor kinases that can be precisely, directly, and rapidly activated by some agent, such as a growth factor. However, nonreceptor tyrosine kinase Abl lacks the experimental advantage of extracellular growth factors as immediate and direct stimuli. To circumvent this limitation, we combine a chemical rescue approach with quantitative phosphoproteomics to identify targets of Abl and their phosphorylation sites with enhanced temporal resolution.
