        Long-term outcomes of single-port laparoscopic myomectomy using a modified suture technique

        Objective To evaluate the long-term outcomes, including the pregnancy outcome and recurrence rate after single-port laparoscopic myomectomy (LM) using a modified suture technique with a Hem-o-lok clip (Choi’s LM) and conventional 4-port LM. Methods A retrospective study of patients who underwent Choi’s LM (n=55) and 4-port LM (n=102) in a single institutional hospital was conducted. Patients with <3 symptomatic myomas sized <10 cm each and operated on by a single surgeon were included. Recurrence was confirmed when a myoma measuring ≥3 cm was detected. Results The patients in both groups had similar demographic characteristics. Single (76.4% vs. 62.7%) and intramural (52.7% vs. 56.9%) tumors were commonly detected in both groups in the mean diameter (6.8±1.5 cm vs. 7.0±1.6 cm; P=0.40). In Choi’s LM, 16 patients (29.1%) needed an additional port; those who were nulliparous and/or had a large leiomyoma more frequently required an additional port (P=0.023 and 0.04, respectively). During a median follow-up period of 69 months, 17 patients (7.1% vs. 14.6%) had recurrence. The size of dominant myomas at recurrence was significantly smaller in patients who underwent Choi’s LM (3.4±0.7 cm vs. 5.7±2.4 cm; P=0.004). All 13 patients in both groups who successfully conceived had a full-term delivery. No major complications occurred during pregnancy. Conclusion Although an additional port was frequently used, the long-term outcomes of patients who experienced recurrence and pregnancy after Choi’s LM were acceptable. Considering its usability, Choi’s LM is feasible for the treatment of uterine leiomyoma.

        Geunsung-Dong named Samsung-Ri in old times is located, at the altitude of 300-400 meters, on the side of Mt. Geumjung. The village has various mountainous characteristics. The climate of the village usually somewhat chilly all the year round except summer. The villagers chiefly cultivate rice-fields, but they always have a bad harvest becfause of the unfavourable weather. So they are mostly in want of food. In fact they have lived in the village since the Castle of Geumjungsan was built about 300 yers ago. The village which belongs to Busan city is famous for its traditional ancient houses. 1. In this village the growing of vegetables and the cattle raising will promise well for the future. 2. Many years ago, in this village were there many villagers who illegally made rice wine and yeast at home. 3. The number of visitors chiefly composed of mountaineers and barkeepers has gradually increased in this village. 4. The houses of this village which are low and surrounded by the stone walls resemble those of Jeju island. 5. Though buses regularly run in the direction of Dongrae, the village is still situated inconveniently. 6. The city of Busan has the plan of developing the villge as one of the sights of Busan. 7. The development of the village must be made under the preservation of natural surroundings and for the benefit of the villagers.

      • 산업용 인버터의 모니터링을 위한 내장형 리눅스 적용

        In this paper, we apply the embedded Linux to monitor the status of industrial inverter, which is for controlling the motor of hydraulic elevator. And we implement the monitoring board using an embedded web server in which embedded Linux is running inside. The monitoring board is based on ARM7TDMI and has Ethernet controller to connect internet. The web-based monitoring system using embedded Linux can reduce the cost, and have flexibility both of technical issues and locations of the system to be monitored. The system shows the feasibility of remote monitoring system based on embedded web server running as a daemon in embedded Linux.

        It is quite necessary to set up a framework for the gradual implementation of performance assessment in physical education. Instead of blindly criticizing the problems of performance assessment or overlooking them, we should be more active in developing relevant methodologies through small-group discussions, seminars and field studies. Teachers should not be forced into compulsory assessment without being provided with proper tools or standards. At the same time, they should also realize the need for well-planned performance assessment. On the other hand, the educational authority is required to reflect the views of teachers in making their policy decisions so as not to cause any damage to the nation's physical education.

      • 중학교 체육교사의 교수행동 분석

        The purpose of this study was to investigate teaching behaviors in middle school physical education classes. The subjects of this study were selected to 9 [mean career 11 years] male physical education teachers of first grade in the middle school at Incheon City. Aspects of teaching behaviors was recomposed with suitability of the actual circumstances based variables of teaching behaviors which was observation record method of Stewart(1983) teaching behaviors in physical education. Dependent variable which aspect of student behaviors was corrected to actual circumstances composed of academic learning time developed by Siedentop(1983) in physical education. The implications of the study are as follow: 1. It was shown that teaching behaviors which have influence on classroom circumstances were physical education activity(49.53%), audio-visual learning activity (23.62%), classroom discipline(22.77%) and waiting(4.08%). 2. It was shown that 30.52% of teaching behaviors was allotted to classroom management, 20.59% to supervision, 18.59% to lecture, and 16.75% to varieties of feedback. 3. It was shown that 54% of cross-interaction was related 54.37% to the whole classroom, 25.35% to individuals, and 20.28% to groups. 4. It was shown that 30.12% of ALT-PE was allotted to exercise task performance, 19.28% to waiting, 18.76% to knowledge understanding, 12.16% to movement, 10.74% to management, 8.44% to non-motor task.

      • Cazes의 특성 모델링을 이용한 LCD상의 색재현

        Recently, PC monitor users have been replacing cathode ray tubes (CRT) with liquid crystal displays (LCD). But the chromaticity of the primaries are dependent on RGB input signals. And the colorimetry of LCD changes with gray scale and has a poor performance in color reproduction. In this paper we propose the enhanced algorithm of color reproduction considering color leakage error and black subpixel error in LCD. In order to test performance of this algorithm we use the colors of Macbeth colorcheck. As a result of experiments, it was confirmed that the color difference of the LCD using the proposed algorithm was considerably reduced.

      • 적외선 센서를 이용한 다종가스 계측기 구현

        The semiconductor gas sensors with a tin oxide as the raw material have been generally used to detect gases in the principle of electrical conductivity variation. However, it was difficult to design the gas detection system due to the non-selectivity, the non-stability and the influence of temperature, humidity etc. Therefore, it was proposed NDIR(non-dispersive infrared) method using pyroelectric infrared sensor to overcome the disadvantage of the semiconductor gas sensors. This method has been recently used to detect various gases in industrial parts. It has the advantages of selectivity, stability and responsibility. The gases used in this paper were CO_(2)(carbon dioxide) and HC(hydrocarbon) series. The system was designed with the Intel MCU i8097BH microprocessor. Main topics were to remove interference effect for other gases and to minimize influence for ambient circumstance by using the software and the hardware techniques.

        인공재배 복령(茯笭)의 성분조성

        인공재배한 백복령의 성분을 분석한 결과 일반성분은 수분 58%, 회분 1.8%, 지방 0.9%, 단백질 0.6%, 섬유소 0.3%로 나타났으며 재배 장소와 방법, 수확시기, 건조조건에 따라 차이가 난다. 무기성분은 ICP로 측정한 결과 Zn 0.63Mg%, Cu 0.18mg%, Fe 1.56mg%, Mn 1.62mg%, Mg 5.28mg%, Ca 12.59mg%, Na 10.12mg%, K 52.39mg%로 나타나 K, Ca, Na 등의 양이온 무기성분이 상당량 함유되어 있었다. 복령 물추출물의 유리당은 glucose만 검출되었고 함량은 1.16㎎%였다. 아미노산은 구성아미노산 13종, 유리아미노산 9종이 확인되었고 함량은 각각 1247.17㎎%, 174.44㎎%였으며, Phe, Iso, Leu, Tyr, His 함량이 높게 나타났다. The various components of cultivated Poria cocos were studied to obtain basic data. The contents of moisture, ash, lipid, protein & fiber were estimated as 58%, 1.8%, 0.9%, 0.6% & 0.3% and the mineral contents of water extracts from Poria cocos were Zn 0.63㎎%, Cu 0.18㎎%, Fe 1.56㎎%, Mn 1.62㎎%, Mg 5.28㎎%, Ca 12.59㎎%, Na 10.12㎎% and K 52.39㎎%. Among them, K, Ca and Na were abundant. Proximate components of Poria cocos were varied according to cultivated place & methods, harvest time and drying condition. Free sugars determined from Poria cocos water extracts were glucose whose contents were 1.16㎎%, but sucrose, maltose and fructose were not detected. Amino acids compositions of Poria cocos were detected as free amino acids 9 kinds, constitunent amino acid 13 kinds and their contents were 1247.17㎎%, 174.44㎎%. Major amino acids were Phe, Iso, Leu, Tyr and His.

      • GPS 항법을 위한 미지정수 추정 및 반송파 위상을 이용한 위치 결정기법

        동체의 항법을 수행하기 위한 정확한 위치를 계산하기 위해 우리는 일반적으로 반송파 위상(carrier phase)을 사용한다. 하지만 하나의 수신기로부터 얻은 반송파 위상 측정치는많은 오차에 의해 영향을 받는다. 그러므로 일반적으로 차분된 반송파 위상 측정기를 사용하게 된다. 하지만 차분 방법으로도 초기 미지정수는 제거되지 않으므로 미지정수 결정을위한 방법이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 칼만 필터(Kalman filter)와 LSAST(Least Squares Ambiguity Search Technique)와 ARCE(Ambiguity Resolution with Constraint Equation)와 같은 검색 기법을결합한 미지정수 추정기법과 이를 이용한 위치 결정기법에 대해 설명하였다. 제안된 알고리즘을 검증하기 위해 정적, 동적 시뮬레이션을 수행하였다. In order to calculate the precise position of vehicles for navigation, we usually use carrier phase measurements. Carrier phase measured form only one GPS receiver is affected by various errors. Therefore, we usually use double-difference carrier phase measurements. But integer ambiguity is not eliminated, therefor we need integer ambiguity determination method. In this paper, we formulate ambiguity algorithm using Kalman filter and several search methods such as LSAST(Least Squares Ambiguity Search Technique) and ARCE(Ambiguity Resolution with Constraint Equation). To analyze the proposed algorithm, static and kinematic simulations were performed.

      • 가우시안 빔 프로파일의 CPT를 위한 비선형 주사속도변조

        A scan velocity modulation(SVM) technique has been widely used for compensating the deterioration of picture quality due to the beam profile effect of the color picture tube(CPT). In conventional SVM system the so-called linear SVM method has been employed, whose modulation velocity is linearly proportional to the variation in the video signal amplitude. However, the effect of picture quality improvement is irregular with video signal amplitude in the linear SVM. In this paper we report a theoretical analysis of the SVM effect on the spatial brightness distribution of CPT according to the variations in luminance signal amplitude and differentiation circuit characteristic. We also propose a nonlinear SVM method based on the results of the theoretical analysis for optimum picture quality improvements. In computer simulation we confirmed uniform improvements in picture quality by the SVM of nonlinear amplitude transfer characteristic.
