        Evaluation of the Efficacy and Safety of DA-9601 versus Its New Formulation, DA-5204, in Patients with Gastritis: Phase III, Randomized, Double-Blind, Non-Inferiority Study

        <P>This study compared the efficacy of DA-9601 (Dong-A ST Co., Seoul, Korea) and its new formulation, DA-5204 (Dong-A ST Co.), for treating erosive gastritis. This phase III, randomized, multicenter, double-blind, non-inferiority trial randomly assigned 434 patients with endoscopically proven gastric mucosal erosions into two groups: DA-9601 3 times daily or DA-5,204 twice daily for 2 weeks. The final analysis included 421 patients (DA-5204, 209; DA-9601, 212). The primary endpoint (rate of effective gastric erosion healing) and secondary endpoints (cure rate of endoscopic erosion and gastrointestinal [GI] symptom relief) were assessed using endoscopy after the treatment. Drug-related adverse events (AEs), including GI symptoms, were also compared. At week 2, gastric healing rates with DA-5204 and DA-9601 were 42.1% (88/209) and 42.5% (90/212), respectively. The difference between the groups was −0.4% (95% confidence interval, −9.8% to 9.1%), which was above the non-inferiority margin of −14%. The cure rate of gastric erosion in both groups was 37.3%. The improvement rates of GI symptoms with DA-5204 and DA-9601 were 40.4% and 40.8%, respectively. There were no statistically significant differences between the two groups in both secondary endpoints. AEs were reported in 18 (8.4%) patients in the DA-5204 group and 19 (8.8%) in the DA-9601 group. Rates of AE were not different between the two groups. No serious AE or adverse drug reaction (ADR) occurred. These results demonstrate the non-inferiority of DA-5204 compared to DA-9601.         인터넷주식거래와 주가변동성

        본 연구에서는 주식거래에 있어서 인터넷거래의 확산이 주가변동성에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가를 이론적, 실증적으로 분석하였다. 이론적으로는 인터넷거래의 증가가 주가변동성을 증가시키는 요인과 감소시키는 요인이 함께 존재하여 시장의 성격에 따라 결정됨을 보이고 있다. 우리나라의 거래소시장과 코스닥시장의 주가지수 자료를 이용하여 분석한 결과에서는 주식거래에서 인터넷거래의 비율이 증가함에 따라 주가변동성이 감소하여 시장을 안정화시키는 효과가 있는 것으로 밝혀졌다. The Effect of the internet stock trading on stock price volatility is investigated theoretically and empirically. Theoretically there can be increasing or decreasing effect of internet trading on stock price volatility depending on the characteristics of the market. Using daily KOSPI and KOSDAQ return data and trading volume data in Korea, the increase in the ratio of internet trading volume to the total trading volume proved to lead to a decrease in the stock price volatility by GARCH and EGARCH estimation.

      • Visible Human Data의 3차원 가시화에 대한 연구

        Visualization is the process of exploring, transforming and viewing data as images to gain understanding and insight into the data. Visualization in medicine is helpful in understanding human anatomy by presenting the information in a form that is not only pleasing but also easily recognizable as well as in gaining functional attributes of medical systems, such as biomechanical and physiological properties. Medical applications include accurate anatomy and function mapping, enhanced diagnosis. accurate treatment planning and rehearsal, and education/training. The Visible Human data set of the National Library of Medicine, the most complete anatomically detailed. computerized database of the human body ever assembled, has been used for these purposes. In this study, we have visualized the Visible Human Data set with VTK(Visualization ToolKit, Kitware Inc.), IAP(Image Application Platform, ISG Inc.) and Visual C++ 6.0. A motivation of this study is the fact that computer imaging techniques have become an important diagnostic tool in the practice of modern medicine. The 3D visualization system consists of a basic 2D image processing such as filtering, panning, zooming and measuring image as well as 3D image processing such as multiplanar reformatting, surface rendering and volume rendering. The wide-spread use and accessibility of the web have been required to provide the visualization of 3D image on the web. Thus, we have developed web-based medical 3D visualization system that supports World-Wide-Web using VRML and client/server architecture.

      • 저 유전상수 시클로헥산계 플라즈마 고분자 박막의 특성

        In this work, we report on the investigation of the properties of cyclohexane-based plasma polymers (CHexPP) as functions of the deposition pressure and the plasma power. As the deposition pressure was decreased from 2 torr to 0.2 ton with a fixed plasma power of 60W, k value of the CHexPP thin film increased from 2.42 to 3.24. CHexPP thin films deposited at lower deposition pressure showed very good thermal stability, even the one deposited at 0.2 torn was stable up to 400℃. As the plasma power was increased from 10W to 90W with a fixed deposition pressure of 0.2 ton, k value increased from 2.61 to 3.39. The CHexPP thin film deposited at 90W were stable up to 450℃. All the deposited films were insulating. Under applied fields less than 1 MV/cm, leakage current densities were less than 10^-7 A/㎠.

        In order to control the root-lesion nematode, Pratylenchus vulnus on strawberry, the effects of six soil fumigants; Cylone, Dowfume MC-2, Di-Trapex, D-D, Telone C-17 and Telone Ⅱ, were evaluated in the farmer's field in 1982 and 1983 in Korea. The number of nematodes were reduced in plots treated with fumigants and the number of leaves and total fresh weight of strawberry were superior to untreated control plots. The treatments of Dowfume Mc-2 at 50㎏/10a and Telone C-17 at 10ℓ/10a increased the yields of strawberry by 38 and 26%, respectively, compared with untreated control plots in 1982. In 1983, the number of nematodes were maintained at considerably low on 180 days after applications. However, on 270 days after the fumigants applications, the number of nematodes in treated plots resumed the similar levels as that before the treatment of chemicals. These values were less than those of untreated control plots investigated on 270 days after. The treatments of Cylone at 30ℓ/10a and Di-Trapex at 30ℓ/10a gave the best results, with increases in yield of 21 and 16%, respectively, compared with untreated control plots. The treatments of Dowfume MC-2 at 50㎏/10a, D-D at 50ℓ/10a, Telone C-17 at 10ℓ/10a and Telone Ⅱ at 8.4ℓ/10a increased the yields by 14, 13, 12 and 10%, respectively.

      • IMT-2000/WLAN/DMB 단말기용 광대역 PIFA 설계 및 SAR 분석

        본 논문에서는 IMT-2000/WLAN/DMB 단말기용 광대역 PIFA(Planar Inverted-F Antenna)를 설계하였다. 일반적인 PIFA 구조의 단점인 협대역 특성을 개선하기 위하여 미앤더 구조를 변형한 두 개의 branch 형태를 사용하였다. 안테나의 크기를 효율적으로 줄이기 위하여 단락스트립을 사용하였고, 미앤더 형태에 따른 방사패치를 가지는 PIFA를 제안하였다. 설계 제작된 안테나의 -10dB 반사 손실 대역폭은 38.2 %(1.84~2.71 GHz)로 IMT-2000/WLAN/DMB 대역을 모두 만족하는 광대역 특성을 얻었다. 전자파 흡수율의 감소량을 알아보기 위해 실제로 폴더형 구조를 가지는 휴대폰에 제안된 안테나를 탑재하여 1 g 및 10 g 평균 첨두 SAR를 측정한 값과 시뮬레이션 결과를 비교하였다. 그 결과는 아주 유사하게 나왔으며, 1 g 및 10 g 평균 첨두 SAR 제한치인 1.6 W/kg, 2 W/kg보다 낮은 값을 얻었다. This paper proposed a new broadband PIFA(Planar Inverted-F Antenna) for IMT-2000/WLAN/DMB terminal. Two branches type changed meander structure was utilized in order to improve the characteristics of PIFA which usually has a narrow band. The shorting strip between the ground plane and the antenna and meander-type radiation patches were used in order to minimize the size of the antenna. The -10 dB return loss bandwidth of a realized antenna was 38.2 %(1.84~2.71 GHz), which contains the broadband with triple band. And the simulated and measured values of 1 g and 10 g averaged peak SAR on human head caused by the triple band PIFA mounted on folder-type handsets were analyzed and discussed. As a result, the measured 1 g and 10 g averaged peak SARs of PIFA was similar to simulated values and were lower than the 1.6 W/kg, 2 W/kg of 1 g and 10 g averaged peak SAR limits.

        1.380 marine incidents occurred in the adjacent sea of Jeju Island, between 1990 - 1999, these were analysed using data from the National Maritime Police Agency. The occurrence rate of marine incidents is fishing vessels about 93%, which of form is the engine troubles 61.6% of the whole and these are human factors resulting from careless operation and poor engine maintenance, this accounted for the main pattern of incidents and great number of them occurred with fishing vessels per a year average are about 138, that if higher than the another seas. On research about marine security kind of work present condition of fish vessel crew in Juju Island is that each long line and books occupy 42% the whole license of crew is that small vessel driver 60%, six degree 35% and most of marine incidents in the fishing vessel cause frequently the engine troubles, propeller troubles lack of ability of repair and crews almost posses the small license

        흰쥐 삼차신경 척수감각핵의 미측소핵 세포의 전압의존성 소디움통로와 포타슘통로에 대한 전기생리학적 연구

        The caudal subnucleus of the spinal trigeminal nucleus (medullary dorsal horn ; MDH) receives direct inputs from unmyelinated and thinly myelinated, small diameter primary afferent fibers. Thus, the MDH is implicated in the processing of nociceptive information in the orofacial region. In this study, the types and characteristics of voltage-dependent ion currents were investigated in acutely isolated MDH neurons of postnatal rats by means of the whole cell patch clamp techniques. Coronal slice (400㎛) of the trigeminal caudal subnucleus region was sequentially treated with pronase 0.2㎎/㎖. then single neurons were mechanically dissociated. Voltage-dependent sodium currents showed that the half-maximum activation potential was -41.8±1.8mV and half-maximum inactivation potential was -62.4±3.0mV. And the currents were blocked totally by application of 100nM tetrodotoxin. In a Ca^2+ free solution, low-threshold transient (I_A) and high-threshold sustained (I_K) currents were recorded. The half-maximum activation and inactivation potential of I_K were 2.5±1.9mV and -37.1±2.3mV, respectively. I_A was activated and inactivated more rapidly than I_K. The half-maximum activation and inactivation potential were -21.6±6.3mV and -84.5±5.0mV, respectively. When a 4-aminopyridine of 5mM was applied, I_A was almost totally blocked. These results reveal that MDH neurons express a variety of voltage-dependent ionic currents with distinct physiological and pharmacological properties, and they play an essential role in the transmission and modulation of sensation, especially pain, from trigeminal region.
