HOW TO BRIDGE THE GAP BETWEEN BRAND RECOGNITION AND CUSTOMER PERCEIVED VALUE IN THE DIGITAL AGE?
Lang-lung Luke Chiang,Mia Hsiao-Wen Ho,Chun-Yueh Chang 글로벌지식마케팅경영학회 2023 Global Marketing Conference Vol.2023 No.07
While social media marketing opens a variety of new windows for enlightening brand–customer relationships, a gritty puzzle is that brand recognition does not invariably echo with customers’ perceived value. This provokes the need to uncover the missing pieces in bridging the gap between brand recognition and customer perceived value. This research falls within the innovative new work in the marketing literature in positing co-creation as a crucial mediator in facilitating the impact of brand recognition on customers’ perceived value. Based on social identity theory, we also investigated how co-creation is moderated by virtual communication identification in influencing customers’ perceived value towards a brand. We conducted a survey via a sample of 386 current Gogoro customers. Gogoro is the biggest and most well-known Taiwanese producer of electric scooters. Our findings contribute to the extant marketing research by emphasizing that the key stimulus of increased customer perceived value towards a brand is active co-creation initiatives via virtual brand communities, and that the effects of co-creation are further strengthened when customers’ virtual communication identification is high.

Single strain or mixed strains of Lactobacillus plantarum FPS 2520 and Bacillus subtilis N1 were used to ferment soybean meal (SBM), and the antiobesity activity of the fermented SBM product was investigated in rats fed with high-fat diet (HFD). After fermentation, free amino nitrogen, total peptide, and isoflavone contents were markedly raised, and genistein and daidzein were the major isoflavones in the fermented SBM. After fed with HFD for 10 weeks, obese Sprague-Dawley rats were orally treated with various fermented products for 6 weeks. The body weight gains, as well as weights of abdominal fat and epididymis fat, of rats fed with fermented SBM products were significantly downregulated. The treatment with the mixed-strains fermented SBM product significantly decreased plasma levels of triglyceride (TG), total cholesterol (TC), and low-density lipoprotein-cholesterol, but increased the level of high-density lipoprotein-cholesterol. Moreover, the levels of TG, TC, fatty acid synthase, and acetyl-CoA carboxylase (ACC) in liver were diminished, and the activities of hormone-sensitive lipase and lipoprotein lipase in adipose tissue were augmented. Taken together, these data demonstrated the antiobesity activity of fermented SBM products, among which the product fermented by the mixed strains being the most effective one. Therefore, these fermented SBM products are potential to be developed as functional foods or additives for treatment of obesity and prevention against obesity-induced complications.
Configurable 3GPP Licensed Assisted Access to Unlicensed Spectrum
Lien, Shao-Yu,Chien, Chun-Che,Tsai, Hua-Lung,Liang, Ying-Chang,Kim, Dong In Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers 2016 IEEE wireless communications Vol.23 No.6

An emerging issue in the development of next generation mobile networks originates in the shortage of available licensed spectrum. This increasing demand for a large amount of bandwidth has recently driven the development of new technologies to utilize unlicensed spectrum. In 2015, 3GPP launched the standardization activity to deploy LTE-A networks on the 5 GHz unlicensed bands using licensed assisted access. To fully understand this crucial technology, in this article, we provide a comprehensive overview on the standardization of licensed assisted access, and raise specific open issues. Configurable radio operations to eliminate the transmission inefficiency and radio access inefficiency in licensed assisted access and a game-theoretic pricing strategy on the licensed and unlicensed bands are further proposed. The provided insights consequently strengthen knowledge of the practice of licensed assisted access.

Background/Aims: Data on treatment efficacy and safety of glecaprevir/pibrentasvir (GLE/PIB) for chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection in Asian patients with severe renal impairment are limited. This study aimed to study the treatment and side effects of GLE/PIB in these patients infected with non-1 genotype (GT) HCV. Methods: We prospectively recruited patients with Child’s A cirrhosis and eGFR <30 mL/min/1.73 m2 in Hong Kong and Taiwan during 2017–2018 to receive GLE/PIB treatment. Results: Twenty-one patients (GT2, n=7; GT3, n=6; and GT6, n=8) received GLE/PIB for 11.2±1.8 weeks. All except one were treatment-naïve. GLE/PIB was initiated in 16 patients while on dialysis (seven on peritoneal dialysis [PD] and nine on hemodialysis) and in five patients before dialysis. One patient died of PD-related peritonitis during treatment and two were lost to follow up. The SVR12 rate in the remaining 18 patients was 100%. All patients achieved undetectable levels at 4-, 12-, 24- and 48-week after treatment. Patients with deranged alanine aminotransferase showed normalization after 4 weeks and the response was sustained for 48 weeks. No significant adverse event was observed. Conclusions: GLE/PIB treatment was associated with high efficacy and tolerability in HCV-infected patients with severe renal impairment.
Dynamic System Identification Using a Recurrent Compensatory Fuzzy Neural Network
Chi-Yung Lee,Cheng-Jian Lin,Cheng-Hung Chen,Chun-Lung Chang 대한전기학회 2008 International Journal of Control, Automation, and Vol.6 No.5
This study presents a recurrent compensatory fuzzy neural network (RCFNN) for dynamic system identification. The proposed RCFNN uses a compensatory fuzzy reasoning method, and has feedback connections added to the rule layer of the RCFNN. The compensatory fuzzy reasoning method can make the fuzzy logic system more effective, and the additional feedback connections can solve temporal problems as well. Moreover, an online learning algorithm is demonstrated to automatically construct the RCFNN. The RCFNN initially contains no rules. The rules are created and adapted as online learning proceeds via simultaneous structure and parameter learning. Structure learning is based on the measure of degree and parameter learning is based on the gradient descent algorithm. The simulation results from identifying dynamic systems demonstrate that the convergence speed of the proposed method exceeds that of conventional methods. Moreover, the number of adjustable parameters of the proposed method is less than the other recurrent methods.
Effects of post anneal for the INZO films prepared by ultrasonic spray pyrolysis
Lan, Wen-How,Li, Yue-Lin,Chung, Yu-Chieh,Yu, Cheng-Chang,Chou, Yi-Chun,Wu, Yi-Da,Huang, Kai-Feng,Chen, Lung-Chien Techno-Press 2014 Advances in nano research Vol.2 No.4
Indium-nitrogen co-doped zinc oxide thin films (INZO) were prepared on glass substrates in the atmosphere by ultrasonic spray pyrolysis. The aqueous solution of zinc acetate, ammonium acetate and different indium sources: indium (III) chloride and indium (III) nitrate were used as the precursors. After film deposition, different anneal temperature treatment as 350, 450, $550^{\circ}C$ were applied. Electrical properties as concentration and mobility were characterized by Hall measurement. The surface morphology and crystalline quality were characterized by SEM and XRD. With the activation energy analysis for both films, the concentration variation of the films at different heat treatment temperature was realized. Donors correspond to zinc related states dominate the conduction mechanism for these INZO films after $550^{\circ}C$ high temperature heat treatment process.

The effects of surface pre-treatments and the role of an AlN buffer layer for 2H-SiC growth on c-plane sapphire substrates by thermal CVD are investigated. While the crystallinity of SiC directly grown on sapphire substrate always degrades with a hydrogen pre-treatment but improves by optimizing carbonization, the crystallinity of SiC grown on sapphire substrate using an AlN buffer grown by MOCVD improves with sufficient time of exposure to the H pre-treatment but always deteriorates with carbonization. Detailed microstructural analysis by phi-scan x-ray diffraction reveals that SiC film grown on sapphire substrate consists of crystalline domains with two different crystallographic orientations which are rotated relative to each other along the [111] axis by 60°. A highly oriented hexagonal 2H-SiC film is obtained on low-cost c-plane sapphire substrate by using an AlN buffer. 2H-SiC is unambiguously determined not only by phi-scan x-ray diffraction but also by high-resolution transmission electron microscopy. The growth relationship between 2HSiC and 2H-AlN are coherent due to the favorable bonding of C and Al between SiC and AlN.
