        This paper provides thoretical research and previous empirical evidence on the Implicit Tax. Results of previous empirical studies are consistent with the predictions of the Implicit. Tax hypothesis and are stastically significant inverse relation between tax subsidy(PTTSE) and pre-tax returen(PTROE). But the empirical relation is weaker than predicted for a perfectly competitive and frictionless market, which is due to presence of market frictions or systematic measurement error. We can know that previous studies on the tax burden of corporate that measured the varioation fo Explict Tax only have not means. As a result, tax burden of corporate is sum of Explict Tax and Implicit Tax, When both Explict Tax and Implict Tax are considered, horizontal inequity of tax burden disappear. So we can appreciate efficiency of tax strategy. Existence of Implict Tax resulted from the tax subsidy means efficient in the application of tax strategy.

        These days the surroundings around harbours are rapidly changing. And now the difficult situation decisive on the existence of a harbour upon the capacity to cope with that change is being deployed. Particularly in the age of Pacific Rim it is rather clear that the competition among the harbours in East-Asian region where are so many of worldwidely famous harbours might be intense. As compared to the trend of the world, main harbours of this country are placed in the center on North-East Asia and endowed with the geopolitical condition which easily connect the container freight routes of the world. From 1980 on the industrialization and urbanization in the area of Kwang Yand-Bay, thanks to the regional development program, have been speedily under way. And in the year of 1987 the 1st development program of Kwang Yang-Bay container quay was started and is scheduled to be completed by the end of 1977. As the completion of the program it is expected that in 1998 the newly-opening Kwang Yang-Bay container quay on one hand will play a role in relieving the awaiting-time of vessels in Pusan Port, and on the other hand it will contribute to the balanced development of the country. In this context this thesis conducted its study on the effect of the specification and facilities of a harbour, and especially on the effect on the regional economy resulted by the development & developmental static of Kwang Yang-Bay container quay. And progressively in the thesis the plan to provide Kwang Yang-Bay container quay with competitiveness was suggested.

        Foreign exchange holdings is a foreign currency property that the currency authorities holds for intervening to foreign exchange market. It meets foreign economy of a country and promotes the credit rate of its own country. But national economy threatens the stable foundation in case of possessing too much or small. Therefore the currency authorities of all countries try to keep foreign exchange holdings in the reasonable scope But the reasonable scope is different each according to the gulf of economic conditions of its own country. It appears according to the difference of purpose and time to hold foreign exchange or the degree of economic development of its country. Therefore foreign exchange holdings must keep a reasonable scope in order to enlarge interests and to reduce the loss of its own country. Thus reasonable foreign exchange holdings of its country in general is offered 25% of total incomes for a year. In the case of Korea, it dosen't excess 25% of total income of a year.

      • 우리나라 中小企業의 海外直接投資에 관한 硏究

        Due to scarce natural resources and heavy dependency of the economy to other countries, trade with foreign nations in essential for economic development of Korea. However, with rapid change in the economic environment in the form of Neo-protectionism from developed countries, our nations is facing economic difficulties where compaines have become less competitive in international trade. As for small companies, they also need to explore new overseas markets for the following reasons. First, in a situation where domestic market shared by small companies in being ltaken over by big companies, search for new market is inevitable. Second, steep increase in wages of workers in Korea has changed economic environment dramatically such that small companies, which have traditionally been producing labor-intensive light industrial products, begin to look for countries with cheap labor for their products. Third, through overseas investment, small companies have the advantage of securing overseas markets and reducing the production cost so that products when imported ask to Korea could benefit consumers with low price. In conclusion, it would be desirable that small companies invest to under-developed countries rather than developed countreis to maximize the efficiency of overseas investment, and transfer of advanced technology would be better.

      • Carbon tetrachloride를 투여한 rat의 hepatic lipid 축적에 미치는 vitamin E의 효과에 관한 연구

        The present studies were undertaken to evaluate the effect of vitamin E, CCl_4 on the change of hepatic triglyceride, hepatic cholesterol, hepatic phospholipid in male rat. The result obtained from this study were summarised as follows: 1. Hepatic phospholipid of CCl_4 treated rat was increased in proportion to CCl_4 dosage but after concomitant injection(I.P) of vitamin E and CCl_4, hepatic phospholipid was significantly decreased in comparison to that of CCl_4 alone injection. 2. There was no effect on hepatic cholesterol concentration either CCl_4 alone injection(I.P) or concomitant injecton(I.P) of vitamin E and CCl_4. 3. Hepatic triglyceride of CCl_4-treated rat was significantly increased in comparison to that of normal rat but hepatic triglyceride of rat concomitant injection of vitamin E and CCl_4 was significantly decreased in comparison to that of CCl_4 alone injection.

        Occurrence and Concentrations of Estrogenic Phenolic Compounds in Surface Waters of Rivers Flowing into Masan Bay, Korea

        The estrogenic phenolic compounds, nonylphenol (NP), octylphenol(OP), bisphenol A (BPA) and nonylphenol mono- and diethoxylate ($NP_{1-2}EO$) were analyzed in 24 surface water samples from six rivers flowing into Masan Bay. All of the phenolic compounds were detected in all six rivers in high concentrations. The most abundant compound was $NP_{1-2}EO$ (86.0%), followed by NP ($10.1 \%$), BPA ($3.6\%$) and OP ($0.3\%$). The levels of phenolic compounds were 1.42-22.70 ${\mu}g$/L for $NP_{1-2}EO$, 0.15-1.68 ${\mu}g$/L for NP, 0.024-0.610 ${\mu}g$/L for BPA and 0.003-0.067 ${\mu}g$/L for OP. Especially, high concentrations were recorded in the rivers that pass through industrial complexes. The concentrations of phenolic compounds observed in these river waters were 1-2 orders of magnitude lower than the reported acute toxicity levels (hundreds of micrograms per liter). However, they were only slightly lower than the chronic toxicity levels. Most of the water samples also exceeded the Canadian nonylphenolic compounds water quality guideline, 1 ${\mu}g$/L, for the protection of aquatic life and the maximum permissible concentrations (MPC), 0.33 ${\mu}g$/L for NP and 0.12 ${\mu}g$/L for $NP_{1-2}EO$.

      • Life Science : Anti-Amyloidogenic Effect of Thiacremonone through Anti-Inflamation in Vitro and In Vivo Models

        Neuroinflammation is implicated for amyloidogenesis. Sulfur compounds extracted from garlic have been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties. Previously, we have investigated that thiacremonone, a sulfur compound isolated from garlic has anti-inflammatory effects. To investigate thiacremonone`s potential effect on anti-neuroinflammation and anti-amyloidogenesis, 4 week old ICR mice were given different doses of thiacremonone (1, 3, and 10 mg/kg) in drinking water for 1 month and received intraperitoneal injection of lipopolysaccharide (LPS) (250 μg/kg/day) at last 7 days of treatment. Our data show thiacremonone decreased LPS-induced memory impairment, glial activation, pro-inflammatory mediators` expression, and amyloidogenesis. In an in vitro study, we obtained similar results, with thiacremonone (1, 2, and 5 μg/ml) effectively decreased LPS (1 μg/ml)-induced glial activation and inflammatory mediators generation which are implicated in amyloidogenesis. Our data also demonstrated that thiacremonone inhibited LPS-induced amyloidogenesis in cultured astrocytes and microglial BV-2 cells. NF-κB, a critical transcriptional factor regulating not only inflammation but also amyloid-β generation, was inhibited by thiacremonone via blocking of phosphorylation of IκBα in mice brain as well as cultured astrocytes and microglial BV-2 cells. These results indicated that the anti-inflammatory compound, thiacremonone, inhibited neuroinflammation and amyloidogenesis through inhibition of NF-κB activity, and thus could be applied for intervention of inflammation-related neurodegenerative disease including Alzheimer`s disease.

        The Effect of Seedlings Density in Nursery on Biomass Production and Growth Characteristic of Styrax obassia

        다양한 활엽수 자원의 개발에 필요한 기초자료를 제공하고자 쪽동백나무 유묘의 생육밀도에 따른 물질생산량과 생장특성 등 최적의 생장조건을 조사하였다. 묘목의 생육밀도는 수고생장에 크게 영향을 미치는 중요한 요인이 될 수 있으며, 본 실험 결과 쪽동백나무의 1m²당 생육 밀도에 따른 묘목의 생장은 49본구에서 간장과 근원직경이 우수한 생장량을 보인반면 생육밀도가 낮은 처리구는 근원직경 생장이 증가하면서 간장생장은 떨어지는 경향을 보였다. 물질생산량 또한 생장 특성과 마찬가지로 1m²당 49본구 처리구에서 전체 물질생산량이 통계족으로 유의적인 차이를 보이면서 3.12±0.80g로 다른 처리구보다 높은 물질생산량을 보였고, T/R율에서도 1.59로 나타났다. 생리적 특성으로 광합성률 또한 쪽동백나무의 경우 1m²당 49/m² 본구와 64/m² 본구에서 상대적으로 높은 광합성률을 보였고 밀도가 높아질수록 광합성효율이 떨어지는 결과를 나타냈다. 이는 생육 환경조건에서 적절한 공간 확보가 궁극적으로 최종 물질대사 작용인 광합성률 변화에서 최적의 상태를 보이면서 생리적으로 안정된 생장형태를 보이는 것으로 판단되며, 적정 공간의 장애가 실질적인 생장저하를 발생시키고, 궁긍적으로 물질대사의 최고 단계인 광합성효율 또한 낮아지는 경향을 나타냈다. To provide the basic data essential for developing varieties of broad-leavede tree, the study investigated the utmost growth requirement for the growth characteristic and biomass production in accordance with planting density of Styrax obassia. The planting density of seedling can be a significant factor in contributing growth of seedling for tree growing in general. While growth of tree according to 1 ㎡ planting density of Styrax obassia showed an excellent growth in tree height and the root collar diameter from 49 no./㎡, those low planting density showed decreased tendency with tree height growth while increasing the root collar diameter growth. As similar to the growth characteristic, the biomass production showed significant and statistic difference in 49 no./㎡ showing high volume of biomass production which is 3.l2±0.80 g compare to other processing section and high figure with T/R ratio which is 1.59. The special trait of photosynthetic also showed relatively high photosynthetic rate in 49 no./㎡ and 64 no./㎡ of Styrax obassia and as the density increase, photosynthetic efficiency decreased. The plant showed stable and physiological planting pattern, displaying the best photosynthetic rate, which was the final metabolism through reserving proper space in the growth and development environment condition. This obstacle of required space essential for growth substantially deteriorated planting and ultimately, it demonstrated lower tendency of photosynthetic rate, which is the highest level of metabolism.
