Phosphoproteomic profiling of myofibrillar and sarcoplasmic proteins of muscle in response to salting

        Caixia Zhang,Zhenyu Wang,Zheng Li,Qingwu Shen,Lijuan Chen,Lingling Gao,Dequan Zhang 한국식품과학회 2016 Food Science and Biotechnology Vol.25 No.4

A phosphoproteomic profile of myofibrillar and sarcoplasmic proteins of muscle inresponse to salting was investigated. Myofibrillar and sarcoplasmic proteins extracted from saltedmeat with 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5% salt for 0, 2, 4, 6, 8, and 16 h were analyzed by SDS-PAGE electrophoresisand fluorescence staining. The global phosphorylation of myofibrillar proteins in salted meat was lowerthan that in control muscle at 16 h of salting (p<0.05), and the global phosphorylation of myofibrillarproteins in 3% salt-treated group at 16 h was the lowest. However, salting showed no significant effecton phosphorylation of sarcoplasmic proteins. Four categories of phosphorylated protein wereidentified by LC-MS/MS, involved in stress response (heat shock protein), glycometabolism (glycogenphosphorylase, glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase), oxidation or reduction (superoxidedismutase), and others (myoglobin), the phosphorylation of which was affected by salting. Thus, salting may influence meat quality through protein phosphorylation, which regulates proteindegradation and glycolysis.

The Breed and Sex Effect on the Carcass Size Performance and Meat Quality of Yak in Different Muscles

        Zhang, Li,Sun, Baozhong,Yu, Qunli,Ji, Qiumei,Xie, Peng,Li, Haipeng,Wang, Li,Zhou, Yuchun,Li, Yongpeng,Huang, Caixia,Liu, Xuan Korean Society for Food Science of Animal Resource 2016 한국축산식품학회지 Vol.36 No.2

The carcass size performances and the meat quality of Gannan and Sibu yak were determined using M. supraspinatus (SU), M. longissimus thoracis (LT) and M.quadriceps femoris (QF). It is found that Sibu yak had significantly higher carcass weight (CW) than Gannan yak with difference of nearly 40 kg, as well as significantly higher eye muscle area (EMA), carcass thorax depth (CTD), round perimeter (RP), etc. The carcass performances of steer yak were significantly higher than heifer yak except meat thickness at round (MTR) (p<0.05). The results show that both yak breed and gender had significant effects on carcass performances. It could be seen that the variation of carcass size performances from breeds is as large as from gender (50.22% and 46.25% of total variation, respectively) through principal component analysis (PCA). Sibu yak had significantly higher L*, b*, WBSF, cooking loss and Fat content, while Gannan yak had significantly higher a*, press loss, protein content and moisture (p<0.05). Yak gender and muscle had insignificant effects on meat colour and water holding capacity (p>0.05). The variation of meat quality of yak from breed is up to 59.46% of total variation according to PCA. It is shown that the difference between breeds, for Gannan yak and Sibu yak, plays an important role in carcass size performance and meat quality.

        Event-based Finite-time Boundedness of Discrete-time Network Systems

        Yingqi Zhang,Miaojun Zhan,Yan Shi,Caixia Liu 제어·로봇·시스템학회 2020 International Journal of Control, Automation, and Vol.18 No.10

This paper deals with the event-based finite-time H∞ control problem of discrete-time network control systems with norm bounded input disturbances and nonlinear stochastic functions. A network-induced delay stochastic model is first constructed by an event-triggered approach. Utilizing stochastic analysis and eventtriggered schemes, conditions on stochastic finite-time (FT) boundedness and stochastic H∞ FT boundedness are then derived for the network model. Subsequently, an event-based finite-time controller and an event-triggered matrix are co-designed to ensure that the stochastic model is stochastically FT bounded or stochastically H∞ FT bounded by utilizing a matrix decomposition scheme. All derived criteria can be solved in terms of convex optimal method, and numerical examples demonstrate the validity of obtained results as well.

Modulatory Potential of LncRNA Zfas1 for Inflammation and Neuronal Apoptosis in Temporal Lobe Epilepsy

        Chuan He,Caixia Su,Wentong Zhang,Qin Zhou,Xu Shen,Junjie Yang,Naixian Shi 연세대학교의과대학 2021 Yonsei medical journal Vol.62 No.3

Purpose: This study aimed to elucidate whether lncRNA ZFAS1 is involved in neuronal apoptosis and inflammation in temporal lobe epilepsy (TLE). Materials and Methods: Ninety-six TLE patients were recruited, and their peripheral venous blood was gathered to determine Zfas1 expression with polymerase chain reaction. Neurons were separated from hippocampal tissue of newborn SD rats, and siZfas1 or pcDNA3.1-Zfas1 was transfected into the neurons. Inflammatory cytokines released by neurons were determined, and neuronal activities were evaluated through MTT assay, colony formation assay, and flow cytometry. Results: Serum levels of Zfas1 were higher in TLE patients than in healthy controls (p<0.05). Furthermore, Zfas1 expression in neurons was raised by pcDNA3.1-Zfas1 and declined after silencing of Zfas1 (p<0.05). Transfection of pcDNA-Zfas1 weakened the viability and proliferation of neurons and increased neuronal apoptosis (p<0.05). Meanwhile, pcDNA3.1-Zfas1 transfection promoted lipopolysaccharide-induced release of cytokines, including tumor necrosis factor-α, interleukin (IL)-1, IL-6, and intercellular adhesion molecule-1 (p<0.05), and boosted NF-κB activation by elevating the expression of NF-κB p65, pIκBα, and IKKβ in neurons (p<0.05). Conclusion: Our results indicated that lncRNA ZFAS1 exacerbates epilepsy development by promoting neuronal apoptosis and inflammation, implying ZFAS1 as a promising treatment target for epilepsy.

Synthesis and Characterization of Magnetic Nanoparticles and Its Application in Lipase Immobilization

        Jiakun Xu,Caixia Ju,Jun Sheng,Fang Wang,Quan Zhang,Guolong Sun,Mi Sun 대한화학회 2013 Bulletin of the Korean Chemical Society Vol.34 No.8

We demonstrate herein the synthesis and modification of magnetic nanoparticles and its use in the immobilization of the lipase. Magnetic Fe3O4 nanoparticles (MNPs) were prepared by simple co-precipitation method in aqueous medium and then subsequently modified with tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS) and 3- aminopropyl triethylenesilane (APTES). Silanization magnetic nanoparticles (SMNP) and amino magnetic nanomicrosphere (AMNP) were synthesized successfully. The morphology, structure, magnetic property and chemical composition of the synthetic MNP and its derivatives were characterized using transmission electron microscopy (TEM), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) analysis, X-ray diffraction, superconducting quantum interference device (SQUID) and thermogravimetric analyses (TGA). All of these three nanoparticles exhibited good crystallization performance, apparent superparamagnetism, and the saturation magnetization of MNP, SMNP, AMNP were 47.9 emu/g, 33.0 emu/g and 19.5 emu/g, respectively. The amino content was 5.66%. The AMNP was used to immobilize lipase, and the maximum adsorption capacity of the protein was 26.3 mg/g. The maximum maintained activity (88 percent) was achieved while the amount of immobilized lipase was 23.7 mg g−1. Immobilization of enzyme on the magnetic nanoparticles can facilitate the isolation of reaction products from reaction mixture and thus lowers the cost of enzyme application.

Research on 5G Core Network Trust Model Based on NF Interaction Behavior

Zhu, Ying,Liu, Caixia,Zhang, Yiming,You, Wei Korean Society for Internet Information 2022 KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Syst Vol.16 No.10

The 5G Core Network (5GC) is an essential part of the mobile communication network, but its security protection strategy based on the boundary construction is difficult to ensure the security inside the network. For example, the Network Function (NF) mutual authentication mechanism that relies on the transport layer security mechanism and OAuth2.0's Client Credentials cannot identify the hijacked NF. To address this problem, this paper proposes a trust model for 5GC based on NF interaction behavior to identify malicious NFs and improve the inherent security of 5GC. First, based on the interaction behavior and context awareness of NF, the trust between NFs is quantified through the frequency ratio of interaction behavior and the success rate of interaction behavior. Second, introduce trust transmit to make NF comprehensively refer to the trust evaluation results of other NFs. Last, classify the possible malicious behavior of NF and define the corresponding punishment mechanism. The experimental results show that the trust value of NFs converges to stable values, and the proposed trust model can effectively evaluate the trustworthiness of NFs and quickly and accurately identify different types of malicious NFs.
