Vol.6 No.3

In the present day. there has been concern to improve the environment which included with no age limit and disability. But many buildings differentiate people with disabilities from people with non-disabilities and it is problem that infringe upon impartiality. Because people have a variety of age, disability, health-condition and so forth, they do not want to a target of special relation. As an alternative plan, it is necessary to introduce the universal design which is able to use for every body and all-round environment. Based on universal design, this paper reports what can be apply from building service from building and proposes basic of the spatial building service to improve the quality of life of people.

Vol.5 No.1

Gait is a highly complex activity in which many variables can be observed and measured. Walking is a repetitious sequence of limb to move the body and to maintain stability. Normal gait is rhythmic and characterized by alternating propulsive and retropulsive motions of the lower extremities. Pathological gait patterns have four functional categories (deformity, muscle weakness, impaired control, pain). The purpose of this study was to assess the quantitive gait variables(the width of the base, length of a step, stride length, cadence, velocity) in patients with low back pain. Patients walked more slowly, took shorter steps and did not show the symmetrical gait patterns.

Vol.24 No.1

Background: The purpose of the present study is to report the effect of muscle performance on knee flexion and extension by chin in exercise. Methods: This study was Participated in 10 healthy subjects. For conducting the chin-in exercise, subjects are lay down with supine position. Using the rounded towel, subjects was performed contraction of longus colli and longus capatis muscle by push the towel. Chin-in exercise was conducted 3 times a day, 4 times a week for 4 weeks. By using the Biodex system4, We measured absolute muscle strength, relative muscle strength, total exercise quantity and average rate of production in knee flexion and extension. The data was analyzed by the repeated-measure ANOVA for comparing before, after exercise 2 weeks, after exercise 4 weeks changes of factors. Results: After chin-in exercise, there was significant difference of before, after 2 weeks and 4weeks results in absolute muscle strength, relative muscle strength, total exercise quantity, average rate of production, agonist/antagonist ratio(p<.05). Conclusion: As a results of this study, chin-in exercise may help to improve muscle ability of knee joint activation and knee joint action performance.

Vol.3 No.2

Hand function evaluations are an important element of the assessment process in physical rehabilitation settings. The purpose of this study was to investigate hand function evaluation. Subjects consisted of 20 with spastic cerebral palsy(mean age = 9.8, SD = 1.6) and 20 with athetoid cerebral palsy(mean age = 9.6, SD = 2.3). Two groups of subjects were tested twice(pretest and posttest) by the JHFT to measure evaluations of hand function. These findings suggest that on four subtests - writing, card turning, large heavy objects and Stacking Checker-the spastic cerebral palsy perform significantly faster than athetoid cerebral palsy. But there were no significant differences between the pretest and posttest in spastic and athetoid cerebral palsy. To see the statistical differences in the experimental results was done using origin V. 3.0.

Vol.6 No.3

Stroke is the leading cause of adult disability and the third leading cause of adult death in the world. Stroke has an impact on the physical, psychological and social dimensions of quality of life. An increasing number of authors have reported a deterioration of the quality of life in a large proportion of patients after a stroke. Just as satisfaction with each dimension varies to everyone, the importance of each dimension also varies and does not impact equally on the quality of life. So assessment on the quality of life has to adopt a multidimentional approach and to make use of the subjective and objective indicators.

Vol.35 No.-

This study focuses on the meaning of `emotion` and `expression` as a culture icon that human beings can communicate with. And there is a purpose to systematize the symbolic meaning of art of expression. The text of this study, Kathakali in India, is traditionally an expression of inner supremacy involving dance behavior and expression, sophisticated beckoning, music, theater and martial arts with male supremacy and local consciousness and folk dance. In Cambodia, there is Angkor Wat registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the 1737 Cambodia, which is depicted on the wall, there is a dance fairy chimpanzee Rafamia Chathrop Apsara performing the performance. This study derives from the necessity of the meaningfulness of humanity `s emotion and art as an act through the most elaborate development of the symbolic and artistic stories of emotions and expressions, Kathakali and Apasara. This is an analysis for the artistic symbolic system of `feelings and expression` in the inner footstool as well as the meaning of the expression act of human and art and the cultural and artistic meaning system as a report of human culture to develop it.

Vol.130 No.-

Kiny? (妓女, female entertainers) were registered in the national labor system as kongch'?n (公賤, official slaves). Their labor, such as providing entertainment for foreign envoys, local governors, and military officials was considered to be a part of the management of the state. With this in mind, this study used the 〈?pji (邑誌)〉 published by the government during the latter period of Choson in order to analyze the role of kiny? in the management of the state. The Kiny?, who were official slaves that possessed special talents, could be divided into the ky?ngki (京妓) for the central government and kwanki (官妓) for local governments. The kwanki were also referred to as chut´ang (酒湯), while government slaves were known as suk?pbi (水汲婢) or k?psubi (汲水婢). In certain provinces, the suk?pbi also played the role of kisaeng. As such, there was no clear separation between kwanki (government entertainers) and kwanbi (government slaves), or of their duties. In this regards, there were many instances in which government slaves were enlisted in the kyobang (敎坊), the educational institute for kisaeng, or conversely, kisaeng resided in places usually reserved for government slaves. A look at the 〈?pji (邑誌)〉 complied in 1871-1872 (please refer to 〈Table 1〉) reveals that 10-180 kisaeng were dispatched to each kamyong (provincial capital), 4-44 to each bu (prefecture), 13-15 to each mok (district), 6-27 in each kun (county), and 1-13 in each hyon (village). As such, although some regional variations did emerge, the conclusion can be reached that the number of kisaeng to be dispatched was based on the size of the administrative unit. As such, the kamy?ng attracted the largest number of kisaeng in a particular province. Moreover, within each kamy?ng, one could find the kwanki employed by the local government, and the y?ngki who worked exclusively for the kamyong. The yongki could again be divided into those kisaeng who belonged to the local government, and those who had been selected from towns within the province. The kyobangs, educational institutes where the kiny? were taught entertainment skills, were set up near the kaeksa or nuj?ng (guest quarters) in order to ensure that the kisaeng effectively entertained foreign envoys and guests. The government granted the kyobang special land known as kidap (妓畓), which the latter could use to secure the funds needed to manage their operations. In the case of the P´y?ngyang kamy?ng (平壤監營) and Jellabu chwasuy?ng (全羅府左水營), where a large number of kisaeng were dispatched, additional offices known as kisaengchong or kisaengbang were established to complement the activities of the kyobang. Under the national labor system (bongjok (奉足)), the kiny? were paid in bop´o (保布), which were doled out to help cover the expenses they incurred to carry out their duties. Local governments also paid the kwanki a certain amount of money or grain. Moreover, the kiny? were provided with economic benefits such as the commodities they needed on a seasonal or quarterly basis. When a kwanki passed away or her parents died, she received money and goods as a means of expressing the state's condolences.
