무근콘크리트에 매입된 셋트앵커의 전단내력평가에 관한 실험적 연구

익스팬션 앵커인 셋트앵커를 대상으로 실험을 통하여 전단내력에 대해서 고찰하였다. 실험은 연단거리와 앵커간격을 변수로 하여 진행하였으며 전단하중을 받는 앵커의 파괴모드는 연단거리와 앵커의 강성 및 직경에 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났다. 앵커와 모재인 콘크리트의 파괴모드는 앵커의 설계식에 중요한 요소이며, 본 실험에서는 앵커의 전단파괴와 콘크리트 단부파괴가 나타났다. 앵커의 전단강도는 ACI 318-02 설계기준과 EOTA 기준을 비교 검토하여 평가하였으며, 콘크리트 단부파괴강도는 CCD 방법과 기존의 ACI349-90 설계기준을 비교.검토하여 평가하였다. 셋트앵커의 실험결과, (1) 셋트앵커의 전단강도에서 앵커의 계수는 5% 파괴확률을 적용하여 0.684로 평가되었다. 그러므로 ACI318-02와 EOTA의 앵커의 전단강도에 대한 각각의 계수 0.6과 0.5는 안전 측으로 판단된다. 따라서 셋트앵커의 전단강도를 다음과 같이 제시한다. $V_s=0.684 A_{se}f_{ut}$(N). (2) 콘크리트 단부파괴강도 예측값은 CCD방법을 적용한 예측값이 비교적 실험값에 근접했다. 그러므로 CCD방법에 근거하여 5% 파괴확률을 적용한 셋트앵커의 콘크리트 단부파괴강도를 다음과 같이 제시한다. $V_b=0.609(\frac{\iota}{d_o})^{0.2}\sqrt{d_0}\sqrt{f_c}(c_1)^{1.5}$(N). (3) 앵커간격에 따른 콘크리트 단부파괴강도 추정 시 CCD 설계기준이 합리적인 설계방법으로 사료된다. This paper concerns the prediction of shear capacity, as governed by steel failure and concrete breakout failure, of set anchors installed in plain concrete. For this purpose, the methods to evaluate the shear capacity of the set anchors in concrete are summarized and the experimental data are compared with capacities by the two present methods : the method of ACI349-90 and the Concrete Capacity Design (CCD) method. (1) The constant-0.684 in the steel strength equation of set anchor was determined from shear test data at the 5 percent fractile probability. Consequently, it was concluded that the constant-0.6 and 0.5 in the steel strength equation for steel failure of ACI318-02 and EOTA were safe. The nominal shear strength of set anchor was proposed as following. $V_s=0.684 A_{se}f_{ut}$. (2) The CCD method was considered reasonable in estimating the concrete breakout strength of set anchors. In terms of the CCD method, the nominal concrete breakout strength of set anchor in shear was provided as follows; $V_b=0.609(\frac{\iota}{d_o})^{0.2}\sqrt{d_0}\sqrt{f_c}(c_1)^{1.5}$(N). (3) The CCD method was considered reasonable in estimating the concrete breakout strength for spacing of set anchors. The proposed equation was considered safe in estimating the concrete breakout strength for spacing of set anchors.

This study is a series of experimental investigation on the buckling strength of centrally and eccentrically loaded cold-formed square steel columns. In square steel column sections, residual stresses are introduced by cold-forming and welding, and at the same time, material strength is increased by the strain hardening and strain aging. These two effects will strongly influence the buckling behavior of centrally and eccentrically loaded cold-formed square columns. This paper is to research local buckling behavior, and flexural buckling behavior of cold-formed square steel columns, and attempts to improve the predictability of performance of these products as structural compression members.

The Allowable Compressive Stress of steel columns of current specification is based on Basic Column Curve proposed by CRC in 1952. The buckling strengths of steel columns exhibit a significant variation due to influencing factors, such as manufacturing method, residual stress, and initial out of straightness. Therefore Single Column Curve based on the deterministic approach will not represent rationally the buckling strengths of different column types. Recently ECCS and SSRC proposed Multiple Column Curves which were obtained by means of the probabilistic approaches evaluating numerous experiments. This study is to present basic data to consider the reasonableness and need in order to adapt Multiple Column Curves for buckling strengths of steel columns in Korean Specification.

Polymer stem insulator for an electric railway has been developed in 1995 in Korea. Owing to its excellent electrical and physical characteristics, KT mark was awarded for the developed polymer stem insulator. After new specification of KNR(Korea National Railway) was established, the evaluation of long-term reliability combined with the improvement of manufacturing process was carried out. In 1998, this polymer stem insulator was installed in commercial electrical railway line. This paper presents the long-term reliability properties of the installed polymer stem insulator compared with conventional insulator. The location of the installed polymer stem insulator in KNR is also introduced.
