      • 영도구 내 식수로 이용되는 약수의 화학적 및 생물학적 성분에 관한 연구

        The industrial development and the populous cities have made environmental pollutions more serious. Especially, the industrial activities result in accumulation of polluted heavy metals in the body of organisms through the food chain, leaving extensive damages. Most of the residents in Youngdo-Gu(District). Pusan use mineral water around Mt. Bongnae as drinking water. It is very important that the chemical components and the level of bioligical pollution in the water should be tested for the health of the residents in Youngdo district as well as the rest of Pusan people who use the water. Thes study conducted 4 tests on the quality of mineral water in 8 spas around Mt. Bongnae at the monsoon (July to September) and at the dry season (May, June, October and November), respectively. It examined the chemical and biological components in the mineral water: the amount of chemical components such as Ammonia-Nitrogen. Nitrite-Nitrogen, Chemical Oxygen Demand, Cadmium(Cd), Cromium(Cr). Manganese(Mn). Lead(Pb), Zinc(Zn), and Copper(Cu) as well as the amount of biological components such as General Bacteria and Escherichia coli group. The mineral water in 4 spas out of the 8 spas tested had a positive response to Escherichia coli group. The water in the S-Ⅱ spa contained Escherichia coli group in the dry season of october and November. with the number of General Bacteria similar to that of the rest places. The mineral water in the BA and SJ spa showed a positive response to Escherichia coli group. The Escherichia coli group was detected in the BS mineral water that many residents used as drinking water. The YH mineral water contained no Escherichia coli group. with relatively more General Bacteria in the dry season of November. However, the level of the number of General Bacteria was below the allowance-value. None of the 4 spas that showed a positive responsee to Escherichia coli group were appropriate for drinking before boiling. All the places tested had no heavy metal. but they had various chemical components and General Bacteria below the allowance-value.

        7-Substituted 2,3-dihydroxyphenazine 5, 10-dioxides were synthesized by the reaction of 1, 2, 4-trihydroxybenzene with 6-substituted benzofuroxan derivatives which had been obtained from aniline derivativies bearing methoxy, methyl, acetyl and nitro group at the para position. 2, 3-Dihydroxphenazine 5, 10-dioxide was also prepared by the reaction of 1, 2, 4-trihydroxybenzene with benzofuroxan. The antimicrobial activities of these phenazine dioxide were investigated in terms of minimum inhibitory concentration by the common twofold dilution technique. It was observed that the antimicrobial activity of the phenazine dioxides bearing electron releasing substituents was stronger than that of those bearing electron withdrawing substitutents. From this result, it was concluded that the antimicrobial activity of phenazine dioxide derivatives has a direct relationship with the electronic effect of the substituents.

        The circular dichroism (CD) spectra of △-[Co(R,R-ptn)₃]³+ complex have been measured in several solvents. It was observed that the degree of the change of CD spectra in the first absorption band region depends on the polarity of the solvents. It has been deduced that the conformation of (R,R)-2,4-pentanediamine ligands in the complex is stabilized as the polarity of slovent decreases, and that the CD spectra of the complex in the solvents with low polarity have a resemblance to the in the solid state.

        2,3-Dihydroxy-7-morpholinophenazine-5,10-dioxide(12) was synthesized by reaction of 1,2,4-trihydroxybenzene with 5(or 6)-morpholinobenzofuroxan(11) had been obtained from 2-amino-4-morpholinobenzene. 2,3-Dihydroxyphenazine-5,10-dioxide was also prepared by the reaction of trihydroxybenzene with benzofuroxan. The structures of the synthesized compounds were confirmed on the basis ¹H-NMR and elemental analysis. The possible mechanisms for the formation of substituted phenazinedioxid and substituted benzofuroxan were discussed.

        As a preliminary work for evaluation of carcinogenic potency of some arylamides, five new compounds were synthesiged p-Nitrodiethyl bengylphosphonate, a modified Wittig reagent, was reacted with α-naph-aldehyde to synthesize trans olefinic compounds. The structures of the trans-1-α-Naphthyl-2-p-substituted phenylethylenes were determined by means of UV, IR and NMR spectroscopy in addition to the elemental analyses.

        The circular dichroism(CD) spectra of trans-[Co(S,S-ptn)₂(NO)₂)₂]Bph₄ and △-[Co(R,R-ptn)₃](Bph₄)₃ complexes are reported for an extended series of solvents, where S,S- and R,R-ptn are (S,S)- and (R,R)-2,4-pentanediamine. The CD magnitude of both complexes varies significantly with solvent variations in the first absorption band region. The solvation of trans-[Co(S,S-ptn)2(NO₂)₂] Bph₄, which was studied by IH NMR, showed a stereoselective hydrogen-bond formation with the equatorial N-H protons. This affected a decrease in the CD spectra. And it is reported that the variation of CD spectrum of △-[Co(R,R-ptn)₃] (Bph₄)₃ in ¹A_(lg)∼ ¹Ea transition region is roughly decreased as the donor number of the solvent is decreased, and that the access of the solvent with great donor power along the C₂ axis of the compex is greater than the solvent with great donor power.

        3-Piperidyl pyridino[2,3-b]7,8-dihydroxyquinoxaline-5,10-dioxide were synthesized by the reaction of 1,2,4-trihydroxybenzene with 3-piperidyl pyridino [2,3-b]furosan which had been obtained from 2-amino-5-piperidylpyridine. Pyridino[2,3-b]7,8-dihydroxyquinoxaline-5,10-dioxide was also prepared by the reaction of 1,2,4-trihydroxybenzene with pyridino[2,3-b]furoxan. The structures of the synthesized compounds were confirmed on the basis of IR, H-NMR and elemental analysis.

      • 영도 내 교육기관의 음용 지하수의 화학적 및 생물학적 성분에 관한 연구

        Korea is the nation of lack water and water-pollution state although Koreans are drinking underground water. Especially, the pollution problems of underground water are serious. Korean Institute of Resources reported that there were 8,218 number of sprinkled well and 64,560,000ts of underground water were using for drinking and 204 springs among 975 were not able to drink as result of tests un their quality. This research conducted examination on the quality of underground water in 8 education institutions in Yeongdo-Gu, Busan at monsoon(July to September) and dry seasons(October to November) in 1999. It was examined to the chemical and biological components in the underground water: the amount of chemical components such as Ammonia-Nitrogen, Nitrite-Nitrogen, Chemical Oxygen Demand(COD), Cadmium(Cd), Cromium(Cr), Manganese(Mn), Lead(Pb), Zinc(Zn), and Copper(Cu) as well as the amount of biological components such as general bacteria and Escherichia coli group. The underground water in three education institutions out of the eight tested schools had positive response to Escherichia coli group. The water in YDWM school contained Escherichia coli group in the monsoon of July to September but not in the dry season of October to November. The water of YDWCH school had over great value of standard in the test of general bacteria in all of seasons. In the dry season, the level of the number of general bacteria in the water of all tested schools was below the allowance-value except the water of YDWM, YDWCH, YDWH schools, and the water of YDWM, YDWH schools showed less value than the allowance-value in the monsoon of July to September. None of the four schools appeared positive response to Escherichia coli group. All water tested had no heavy metal, but they had chemical components below the allowance-value.

        7-Substituted 2,3-dihydroxyphenazine-5,10-dioxides were synthesized by the reaction of 1,2,4-trihydroxybenzene with 6-substituted benzofuroxan derivertives which had been obtained from aniline derivertives bearing bromo, chloro groups at the para position. 2,3-Dihydroxyphenazine-5,10-dioxide was also prepared by the reaction of 1,2,4-trihydroxybenzene with benzofuroxan. The structures of the synthesized compounds were confirmed on the basis of IR, ¹H-NMR and elemental analysis.
