치과 진료실에서 분리한 Staphylococcus aureus의 항생제 내성

To investigate the nosocomial infection, Staphylococcus aureus(S. aureus) was isolated from the nasal cavity of personnel in dental clinic and the patients with acute oral infection, and characterized by antibiotic resistance. S. aureus was identified by Gram stain, catalase test, mannitol fermentation test and coagulase test. The antibiotic susceptibility tests were performed according to the National Committe of Clinical Laboratory Standards(NCCLS). The thirteen percent of staphylococci isolated from each clinic were S. aureus. All isolates of S. aureus in this study showed the resistance to ampicillin and penicillin, and the susceptibility to clindamycin and vancomycin. These results show that S. aureus might be related to the nosocomial infection in dental clinic.
치과영역에서 분리된 Staphylococcus aureus와 Staphylococcus lugdunensis의 Dot Blot에 의한 δ-Like hemolysin 유전자 추적

Six independent clinical isolates of staphylococci were tested for expression of haemolysin characteristic of Staphylococcus aureus(S. aureus) and for the presence of DNA sequences with homology to S. aureus toxin genes. Six strains produced a thermostable haemolysin with greatest activity against sheep erythrocytes. DNA-DNA hybridization was performed with Staphylococcus lugdunensis(S. aureus) DNA and S. aureus and proved with the δ toxin gene probes of S. aureus as well as that for coagulase. Hybridization was found with the δ probe in six strains. These fingdings suggests that S. lugdunensis strains produce a δ-like toxin which shares homology with the δ toxin of S. aureus.
Surgical Management of Recurrent Leiomyosarcoma in Heart

Leiomyosarcoma may occur anywhere in the body but rarely occurs in the heart or great vessels. Leiomyosarcoma may be managed by surgical resection with or without chemotherapy or radiotherapy. Owing to the high rate of metastasis and poor prognosis, a definitive treatment modality for leiomyosarcoma has not yet been suggested. This case study reports the surgical management of the recurrent leiomyosarcoma of the heart and the great vessels in a 63-year-old woman.
High Performance Liquid Chromatography를 이용한 Staphylococcus aureus의 대사산물 분석

Staphylococcus aureus(S. aureus) is a potential pathogen causing a wide range of infections include : furuncles(boils, carbuncles, impetigo, toxic epidermal necrolysis, pneumonia, osteomyelitis, meningitis, endocarditis, mastitis, bacteremia, various abscess, food poisoningtvia enterotoxin), enterocolitis, urogenital infections and toxic shock syndrome. The purpose of This study has intended to analyse metabolic acids of S. aureus in dental clinic. Metabolic acids extracted from a 48 hours PYG culture was measured by high performance liquid chromatogragh(HPLC). These results suggest that the pattern of metabolic acid is diverse between person and envirnment.
Improvements to the RELAP5/MOD3 Reflood Model and Assessment

Several improvements to the RELAP5/MOD3 reflood model hate been made. These improvement were made to correct deficiencies in the reflood model identified by the assessment of the RELAP5/MOD3 code against FLECHT-SEASET experiments. The improvements consist of modification of reflood wall heat transfer package and adjusting the droplet size in dispersed flow regime. The time smoothing of wall vaporization and level tracking of transition flow are also added to eliminate the pressure spikes and level oscillation during reflood process. Assessment of the improved model against FLECHT-SEASET experimental data and application of LBLOCA analysis for plant shows that the deficiencies have been corrected. FLECHT-SEASET 실험에 대한 REIAP5/MOD3 평가시에 밝혀진 코드결함을 수정하기 위하여 RELAP5/MOD3 재관수 모델을 개선하였다. 모델개선은 재관수 열전달 모델의 수정과 분산유동영역의 액적 크기의 조절을 통하여 이루어졌으며 재관수 계산시 발생되는 압력 spike와 수위진동 등의 결함을 개선하기 위하여 벽면비등모델의 time-smoothing과 천이 유동시의 level tracking모델도 첨가되었다. FLECHT-SEASET 실험에 대한 개선모델의 검증과 발전소의 대형냉각재 상실 사고해석 응용에서 코드결함이 개선되었음을 알 수 있었다.
Formability and forming force in incremental sheet forming of AA7075-T6 at different temperatures

The AA7075-T6 sheet recently received attention, owing to its low weight and strength for use fabricating automotive parts (e.g., body, motor case). Owing to its low ductility and high strength at room temperature, it is difficult to form; a heating process is required. In this paper we investigate the mechanical properties of a 1.0-mm-thick AA7075-T6 sheet at different temperatures via an uniaxial tensile test, examining the forming characteristics of incremental sheet forming (ISF) at different temperatures. In the ISF experiment, a sheet clamped on a fixed die was heated and maintained at the designed temperature. The forming force was measured by an in situ force monitoring system. The forming parameters included tool diameter, vertical step, temperature, and feed speed. Vertical step and temperature were selected at three levels for experimental design. The formability was evaluated by varying the shapes of wall-angle conical frustums. When the temperature increased to 200 °C, the formability increased dramatically. The fracture-forming limit curve in ISF was defined for this material at different temperatures. This fracture criterion was loaded into ABAQUS software to predict fracture. The comparison between experimental and finite-element method simulation shows good agreement.
