선복화, 감국, 홍화 에탄올 추출물의 주름개선 및항산화 효과

The ethanolic extracts of Inula Flos (IF), Chrysanthemi Flos (CSF) and Carthami Flos (CTF) were carried out to investigate the anti-wrinkle and antioxidative effects as part of the development of natural cosmetics materials. Total polyphenol content in CTF (134.71 mg/g) and total flavonoid content in IF (79.38 mg/g) were higher than those of other ethanolic extracts. The collagenase and elastase inhibition rate for anti-wrinkle effect showed 34.06% and 54.09% in the IF, respectively, at the concentration of 2.0 mg/mL. The tyrosinase inhibition of CTF was 19.67% at 2.0 mg/mL. IF at a concentration of 2.0 mg/mL was the highest xanthine oxidase inhibition effect of 43.81%. The electron donating ability of IF was 93.43% at 2.0 mg/mL, especially IF was over 80% at 0.1 mg/mL. In the analysis of nitrite scavenging activity,CSF (97.17%) and CTF (98.44%) showed a significantly higher effect than ascorbic acid (95.21%) at the condition of pH 1.2 and 2.0 mg/mL. At the condition of pH 3.0, CTF was 94.49% at the concentration of 2.0 mg/mL. The SOD-like activity of IF was 90.85%, and that was 4.2 times to 6.2 times greater than CSF and CTF. These results suggest that the CTF was rich in total polyphenol content and nitrite scavenging activity was better than other extracts. IF showed relatively higher effect of collagenase and elastase inhibition than the CSF and CTF ethanolic extracts, and its electron donating ability and SOD like activity were over the 90% rate. These results suggest that the IF is a potentially useful anti-wrinkle and antioxidant source for the development of functional cosmetic. 예로부터 꽃을 식용 및 약용으로 사용하는 선복화(Inulae Flos), 감국(Chrysanthemi Flos)과 홍화(Carthami Flos)를 기능성 화장품 소재로서의 활용 가능성을 알아보고자 에탄올을 용매로 추출하여 주름개선, 미백 및 항산화 활성을 측정하였다. 총 폴리페놀 화합물은 홍화에서 134.71 mg/g이었으며, 플라보노이드는 선복화가 79.38 mg/g으로 가장 많이 함유하였다. Collagenase와 elastase 저해율은 2.0mg/mL에서 선복화 에탄올 추출물이 각각 34.06%와 54.09%로 가장 우수한 저해율을 보였으며, tyrosinase 저해율은 홍화에서 19.67%을 나타내었다. 선복화는 2.0 mg/mL에서 43.81%의 xanthine oxidase 저해활성을 나타내었으며, 전자공여능은 93.43%로 0.1 mg/mL에서도 80% 이상의 활성을 나타내었다. 아질산염 소거능은 pH 1.2의 2.0 mg/mL의 조건에서 감국과 홍화가 각각 97.17%와 98.44%으로 대조군인 ascorbic acid(95.21%)보다 높은 아질산염 소거율을 보였으며, 홍화는 pH 3.0에서도 94.49%의 아질산염 소거능을 나타내었다. SOD 유사활성능은 선복화가 90.85%로 대조군(95.56%)보다는 낮았으나 감국과 홍화보다는 4.2∼6.2배 높은 활성을 나타내었다. 이상의 결과, 홍화는 폴리페놀을 다량 함유하며, 아질산염 소거율이 우수하였으며, 선복화는 감국과 홍화보다 우수한 collagenase와 elastase 저해율을 보였으며, 90% 이상의 전자공여능과 SOD 유사활성능을 나타내므로 항주름 및 항산화 효과를 가지는 기능성 화장품 소재로서 활용 가능할 것으로 판단된다.

영산강 유역 마을신앙의 해양문화적 특성 -나주 지역을 중심으로-

강은 해양과 내륙의 문화가 만나는 접점지역으로, 그런 점에서 영산강은 드넓은 나주평야의 젖 줄기 역할을 하면서 동시에 해양문화의 나주로의 유입창구 역할을 톡톡히했다. 하지만 1987년 영산강 하구언 공사의 완공으로 수운이 중단되면서 나주 영산강유역의 생활모습은 변했다. 그러나 이러한 외적인 변화로 인한 경제형태의 변화에도 불구하고, 마을신앙과 같은 무형의 문화 속에는 여전히 과거의 해양문화적 흔적을 간직하고 있음을 확인할 수 있다. 나주 영산강 유역 마을신앙의 해양문화적 특징은 제의에 사용되는 제물과 당산제 이후 3일 만에 올리는 ‘삼오제’라는 제의형식을 통해서 나타나고 있다. 영산강 유역의 마을신앙에서 사용되는 제물로 숭어와 낙지, 물에 불린 생미역 등이 올려지고 있는 것은 외부환경이 농업경제 형태로 바뀐 현재에도 여전히 과거의 해양문화적 특성이 마을신앙에 반영되고 있다는 것을 의미하는 것이다. 또한 당산제를 모신 3일 후에 다시 삼오제를 모시는 것은 도서 연안지역의 갯제와 그 성격이 닿아있다고 보인다. 즉 삼오제의 형식이 상례절차인 삼우제의 외피를 입고 있으면서도, 과거 영산강 유역에 유입된 해양문화인갯제의 영향을 받아 완성된 제의 형식이라고 볼 수 있는 것이다. 결국, 도서 연안지역의 마을신앙인 상당(혹은 상하당제)제와 갯제의 형태의 영향을 받아 영산강 유역의 마을신앙이 현재와 같은 당산제와 삼오제의 형태로 굳어지게 된 것으로 보인다. 이처럼 나주 영산강 유역 마을신앙은 해양문화적 특성을 간직한 채 현재도 전승되고 있다. 하지만 이러한 특성이 언제까지 지속가능할 지는 알 수 없다. 현재도 마을에 따라서 현지실정에 맞는 제물로 대체하고 있기도 하고, 특히 삼오제는 당산할아버지와 당산할머니의 신격이 하나의 신격으로 생략되어가는 것과 마찬가지로 그 제차의 번거로움 때문에라도 점차 생략되어질 가능성이 크다고 할 것이다. 그리고 언젠가는 나주영산강 유역의 마을신앙에서 해양문화적 특성을 찾아보기 어렵게 될 것이다. Rivers are the contact points between a marine culture and an inland culture. The Young-san River played an important role as the gate of the influx of a marine culture into Na-ju. Since the completion of the construction of estuary dike in 1987, however, the influx of a marine culture into Na-ju couldn’t continue any more. At the same time, the industrialization of Na-ju area and the influx of foreign religions caused some changes in the village beliefs. There are, however, some cases that still show the features of a marine-culture. It is confirmed through ‘Sam-oh’ Ritual and the offerings which were served in ‘Dang-san’ Ritual, a rural belief of Na-ju area and the basin of the Young-san River. At first, it is ascertained that such things as gray mullets, octopuses, and raw seaweed soaked in water were served as the offerings of ‘Dang-san’ Ritual in the basin of the Young-san River. This means that, though there were some changes into an agricultural economy in the external circumstances of this area, the marine cultural traits of the past have influenced on the village belief up to now. Secondly, ‘Sam-oh’ is a simple kind of ritual of the village belief which used to be served three days after ‘Dang-san’ Ritual. This ‘Sam-oh’ Ritual has somesimilarities to ‘Gat’ Ritual which was performed along the coastal region and islands. In other words, while the ritual form of ‘Sam-oh’ shows some kinds of Confucian funeral rites in appearances, it can be also regarded as the one which was formed by the influences of ‘Gat’ Ritual, which belongs to a marine culture. In the result, it is regarded that the village belief of the basin of the Young-san River seems to be fixed in the forms of ‘Dang-san’ Ritual and ‘Sam-oh’ Ritual under the influence of ‘Dang’ Ritual and ‘Gat’ Ritual, the village beliefs of the coastal region and islands.
