This paper reports on the effects of silicone oils, used as processing agents, on the recovery of hydrophobicity of silicone rubber. The recovery of hydrophobicity was evaluated by the measuring the contact angle, the surface electrical resistance and SEM. Here, we formed artificial contamination on the surface of samples, which scratched by sand papers and alumina powders. There was small recovery of hydrophobicity on the surface of SIR-A that silicone oil was not added. In both oil-added samples, SIR-B and SIR-C, recovery of hydrophobicity was achieved greatly. The surface of SIR-C showed that a lot of silicone oil was observed due to migration of oil, relatively in comparison with SIR-B. The tendency of recovery of hydrophobicity expressed by contact angle was in a good agreement with electrical property as determined by surface resistivity.

Electrical insulation is one of the most important parts in a high voltage apparatus. Traditionally mineral oils and synthetic esters have been widely used as dielectric coolants for power transformers. Recently, researchers are interested in the environmentally friendly vegetable oil from the environmental viewpoint. This paper reports on the synthesis and characterization of soybean based ester oils. Two different types of soybean based transformer oils, named as methyl ester and isopropyl ester were synthesized. The synthesis of these esters was achieved by transesterification reactions between soybean oil and alcohol in the presence of catalyst. The GC and NMR spectroscopic analysis of the esters have been performed. It was observed that isopropyl ester has better thermal resistance than methyl ester by TGA. Also, two esters have a good breakdown voltage and electrical resistance.

우리나라에서는 노인간병은 가족내 책임, 가족구성원의 역할로 간주해 온 사회적 분위기 때문에 간병인력에 대한 인식은 그다지 고려되지 않고 있었다. 따라서 간병에 대한 전문성이나 교육이 체계화되어 있지 뭇하고, 실제로 현재 참여하고 있는 노인 간병인력은 전문교육과 실습을 받은 전문인력이 아니다. 이에 본연구는 가족구성원이나 자원봉사자에 의해 전적으로 맡겨지고 있는 우리나라 노인간병문제의 대안을 모색하기 위해 그 사전연구로서 우리나라 노인 간병인력의 지원의 필요성을 살펴보고 일본과 미국의 노인 간병인력 양성제도및 간병인력 운영프로그램을 구체적으로 분석하여 우리나라 실정에 적합한 노인 간병인력 양성계획 수립의 제언을 하였다. 즉, 1) 종합적이고 전문적이며 체계적인 양성 교육 프로그램이 확립되고 국가가 관여할 수 있고 간병전문직의 입지를 세우기 위한 자격증 제도의 도입이 필요하다. 2) 전문화된 인력을 계속적으로 개발하고 전문화 훈련과정이 연계되어 질 높은 간병인 양성제도가 되어야 한다. 3) 간병인력에 대한 현실적인 급여수준이 보장될 수 있는 방안이 모색되어야 한다. The health care system for the elderly has become a very important issue with increasing population of the elderly. However, in Korea, it has been a common tradition that the health care for the elderly was done by their own family. Thus, the necessity and importance of caregiver training was not received proper attention. The primary purpose of this study is to explore the situations of caregiving problems in Korea, and that suggests policy recommendations to remedy the problems. For this purpose, the caregiver training programs in Japan and the U.S., that were considered to be useful to implement the Korean caregiving system, were reviewed. This study suggests the necessity of restructuring the caregiving programs for the elderly. The specific emphases of the restructuring are as follows: to implement systematic and multidisciplinary caregiving programs; to establish national certified license program administered by the government; to develop continuing education programs and specialized programs to improve the quality of caregiving; and to make efforts to establish the proper pay level for caregivers.
