In the process of performance evaluation of existing structures, lots of mathematical models are applied to draw a reasonable conclusion. Fuzzy theory is considered as one of the attractive methodology because of the inherent uncertainty of the problem itself. For example, MinMax theory, Fuzzy-Bayesian theory and Fuzzy integration methods, etc. were attempted in the evaluation process. This study aims to propose the modified MinMax theory(Most widely-used and simplest method using fuzzy sets). The modification is on fuzzy rules using numerical equations instead of linguistic expressions. That is to make up for the defects that the number of rules geometrically increase as the evaluation items increase. By varying the constants of the typical polynomial equation, we can control the evaluation process satisfying general objectives of the evaluation and sensitivities of evaluated items.
