대용량 프리폴리머 중합공정의 영향인자 평가 및 예측모델 개발에 관한 연구

Synthetic products such as casting tape and splints are rapidly replacing conventional plaster casts to treat orthopedic patients. Most synthetic products are produced through a polymerization process with related chemical agents. In this study, the effect of the process parameters on the residual NCO content within a prepolymer for casting tape and the hardening temperature for casting tape were experimentally evaluated. In order to verify the effects of the process parameters, an experimental method was adopted. From an S/N ratio analysis, optimal parameter combinations were determined to produce a pre-polymer with a suitable residual NCO content and alower hardening temperature. Prediction models for the NCO content and the hardening temperature were developed and confirmed.

In this study, computer applied engineering(CAE) technology are fully used to conduct dynamic and fatigue analysis of polymerization reacting unit. Static and dynamic analysis are conducted based on [mite element method with ANSYS Workbench. The used reacting unit is demanded to be safety resistance for inner pressure. This study evaluates safety resistance for inner pressure. And fatigue analysis is performed to apply good safe condition and life time for design of reacting unit. Lastly, geometry optimization is performed using ANSYS Workbench. The results are applied to geometric dimension of polymerization reacting unit.

This paper presents a numerical study to enhance the mixing of polyurethane resin in a container. In general, the properties of polyurethane resin vary with the production environment, such as temperature. However in this study we assumed that the dynamic viscosity of the polyurethane is kept constant at 15 [Paㆍs]. We computed the flow solution and visualized the mixing pattern for different shapes of mixers by using commercial code, ANSYS CFX. In order to quantify mixing, we employed the concept of mixing index by volume integration.

The epidural anesthesia is a popular regional anesthetic technique for surgical anesthesia and analgesia. But it also has many complications such as intravascular injection of local anesthetics. Bupivacaine has become a popular local anesthetics because of its long duration of action and excellent sensory blockade effect. Nevertheless, it must be warned against the potential for systemic toxicity, usually owing to accidental intravascular injection or to the administration of an excessive dose of Bupivacaine. We report a case of sudden generalized convulsion in patient received epidural anesthesia with Bupivacaine. And the best treatment of complications during epidural anesthesia is a just prevention. Thus, We should take care of the patients recieved epidural anesthesia with Bupivacaine throughout all procedures.
