The conduction-cooled HTS SMES is operated in cryogenic and high vacuum condition. Thus, Insulation design at cryogenic temperature and high vacuum is a key and an important element that should be established to accomplish miniaturization that is a big advantage of HTS SMES. However, the behaviors of insulators for cryogenic conditions in vacuum are virtually unknown. Therefore, we need active research and development of insulation concerning application of the conduction-cooled HTS SMES. Therefore, in this study, we experimented about insulation characteristic high vacuum and cryogenic similar to driving condition of SMES system. Also, investigated about insulation characteristic of suitable some materials to insulator for conduction-cooled HTS SMES. As this results, we possessed basis data for insulation materials selection and insulation design for development of 600 kJ class conduction-cooled HTS SMES.

SiAlON ceramics are used as ceramic cutting tools for heat-resistant super alloys (HRSAs) due to their excellent fracture toughness and thermal properties. They are manufactured from nitride and oxide raw materials. Mixtures of nitrides and oxides are densified via liquid phase sintering by using gas pressure sintering. Rare earth oxides, when used as sintering additives, affect the color and mechanical properties of SiAlON. Moreover, these sintering additives influence the cutting performance. In this study, we have prepared $Yb_{m/3}Si_{12-(m+n)}Al_{m+n}O_nN_{16-n}$ (m = 0.5; n = 0.5, 1.0) ceramics and manufactured SiAlON ceramics, which resulted in different colors. In addition, the characteristics of the sintered SiAlON ceramics such as fracture toughness and microstructure have been investigated and results of the cutting test have been analyzed.

SiAlON-based ceramics are some of the most typical ceramic materials used as cutting tools for HRSA(Heat Resistant Super-Alloys). SiAlON can be fabricated using ceramic processing, such as mixing, granulation, compaction, and sintering. Spray drying is a widely-used method for producing a granular powder of controlled morphology and size with flowability. In this study, we report a systematic investigation aimed at optimizing spherical granule morphology by controlling spray-drying parameters such as gas flow and feed rate. Before spray drying, the viscosities of the raw material slurries were also optimized with the amount of dispersant added.

Recently, for improvement of the magnetic field of high temperature superconductor (HTS) apparatus, many studies investigating on operating in the range of 20 - 65 K with liquid helium or the conducting method using cryocooler are actively reviewed. Also, the cooling method using solid nitrogen as cryogen is being suggested. Since the nitrogen has very large specific heat in solid state, it is expected that it can be operated for a long time without a continuous supply of cooling energy. However, there are still insufficient data on the characteristics of solid nitrogen such as thermodynamic properties and liquid-solid phase change. Especially, there was almost no study done on the electrical insulation properties of solid nitrogen so far. In this study, solid nitrogen to find the electrical characteristics was made by using cryocooler and cryostat, and investigated the flashover discharge and breakdown. The results of this study will be useful as a basic data for electrical insulation design of the HTS system using solid nitrogen as cryogen.

The 600kJ class high temperature superconducting magnetic energy storage (HTS SMES) system is being developed by Korean Electrotechnology Research Institute (KERI). The system is operated in cryogenic temperature and high vacuum condition. The SMES magnet was cooled by conduction cooling method using a Gifford-McMahon cycle cryocooler. Thus, electric insulation design at cryogenic temperature and high vacuum is a key and an important element that should be established to accomplish compact design is a big advantage of HTS SMES. This paper describes the electric insulation design, fabrication and experimental results for a mini model of conduction cooled HTS SMES.

Toward the practical applications, on operation of conduction-cooled HTS SMES at temperatures well below 40[K] should be investigated, in order to take advantage of a greater critical current density of HTS and considerably reduce the size and weight of the system. In order to take advantage of a greater critical current density of high temperature superconducting (HTS) and considerably reduce the size and weight of the system, conduction-cooled HTS superconducting magnetic energy storage (SMES) at temperatures well below 40[K] should be investigated. This work focuses on the breakdown and flashover phenomenology of dielectrics exposed in air and/or vacuum for temperatures ranging from room temperature to cryogenic temperature. Firstly, we summarize the insulation factors of the magnet for the conduction cooled HTS SMES. And Secondly a surface flashover as well as volume breakdown in air and/or vacuum with two kind insulators has been investigated. Finally, we will discuss applications for the HTS SMES including aging studies on model coils exposed in vacuum at cryogenic temperature. The commercial application of many conduction-cooled HTS magnets, however, requires refrigeration at temperatures below 40[K], in order to take advantage of a greater critical current density of HTS and reduce considerably the size and weight of the system. The magnet is driven in vacuum condition. The need to reduce the size and weight of the system has led to the consideration of the vacuum as insulating media. We are studying on the insulation factors of the magnet for HTS SMES. And we experiment the spacer configure effect in the dielectric flashover characteristics. From the results, we confirm that our research established basic information in the insulation design of the magnet.

최근 병원이 주체가 되어 유비쿼터스 인프라를 구축하여, 이를 기반으로 병원 구성원뿐만 아니라 환자에 이르기까지 다양한 병원 정보 서비스를 제공하기 위한 연구와 시범사업이 이루어지고 있는 추세이다. 본 논문에서는 u-병원 환경에서 위치기반 가이드 시스템을 제안한다. 제한한 시스템의 소프트웨어 구조는 기존 연구되었던 분산객체그룹프레임워크(Distributed Object Group Framework)와 JADE(Java Agent DEvelopment Framework)를 기반으로 한다. 특히, RFID를 이용한 실내 위치 추적 기술과 본 연구실에서 연구해온 분산 프레임워크를 바탕으로 병원을 대상으로 하여 환자의 위치에 따르는 각 검사실의 위치와 검사에 필요한 정보를 제공한다. 이를 위해 시스템을 구성하는 전체 시스템 구조와 구성요소 간 상호작용에 대해 기술하였다. 그리고 물리적인 환경을 보이고 시스템의 수행과정을 모바일 디바이스상의 사용자 GUI를 통해 보였다.

This paper introduces experimental investigates of an electrical accident of the distributing cable termination with simulated badness construction. We prepared two termination kites, one is built-up type, the other is heat contraction type. Also, we manufactured cable termination that have simulated defect by badness construction and measured their insulation characteristics such as ac (35kV, 1min) and impulse (95kV, <TEX>$1.2{\times}50{\mu}s$</TEX>) withstand test. The influence of defects such as thickness and the gap between stress-con of housing and semi-conductor on insulating properties of the termination have been studied. The thickness decrease of insulator decreases ac breakdown strength. Dielectric breakdown traces of insulator that is damaged by knife displayed other shape. The gap of between housing and semiconductor deteriorates dielectric strength of insulator seriously.
홈 환경 기반 맞춤형 상황 정보 서비스 모델에 관한 연구

본 논문은 홈 환경에서 맞춤형 상황 정보 서비스 모델에 대해 기술한다. 제안한 모델은 유비쿼터스 환경을 구성하는 다양한 센서, 디바이스와 측정기기 그리고 시스템들 간의 상호연동을 위한 공통 인터페이스를 지원한다. 또한 사용자별 응용 서비스의 요구사항에 따라 상황정보들을 신속하게 제공한다. 이러한 요구사항을 해결하기 위해, 본 논문에서는 맞춤형 상황 정보 서비스 제공을 위한 소프트웨어 구조를 제시한다. 이를 위해 상황정보 모델은 온톨로지 기반으로 홈 환경의 주요 특성으로 구분하여 모델링하였다. 끝으로 이를 기반으로 구현한 시스템 구성과 환경 그리고 응용 서비스 결과를 보인다.
