An Online Opinion Analysis on Refugee Acceptance Using Topic Modeling

This study focused on the increase in refugee-related discourse in Korean society with the recent inflow of asylum seekers to Jeju Island. The purpose of our study was to understand the trends in public opinion concerning the acceptance of refugees by analyzing the content of refugee-related video commentary on YouTube. Topic modeling was conducted to analyze the main points, context, and ideas in the comments. The results indicated that the media mainly focus on the pros and cons of refugees, restricting the refugee issue to the problem of acceptance with a narrow focus on the case of Jeju Island. Refugee acceptance was treated as overwhelmingly unacceptable in the comments. We found that commenters often used negative discourse in the comments as a device for reproducing and amplifying hate speech
Vacuum Test of Cavity with Liquid Nitrogen

Schematic of RAON vacuum system is introduced. Vacuum test for superconducting cavity with liquid nitrogen is performed. Schematic plan for RAON vacuum system is introduced and vacuum control system for superconducting cavity test is constructed. Vacuum pressure of cavity is shown as a function of pumping time. The temperature of cavity is shown as a function of cooling time. Outgassing species from cavity is also detected. Detailed experimental procedure is presented to test the cavity vacuum with liquid nitrogen.
Analysis of Low-Energy Pion Spectra

The transverse mass spectra and the rapidity distributions of π+ and π- in Au-Au collisions at 2, 4, 6 and 8 GeV·A by the E895 collaboration are fitted using an elliptically expanding fireball model with the contribution from the resonance decays and the final-state Coulomb interaction. The ratio of the total number of produced π- and π+ is used to fit the data. The resulting freeze-out temperature is rather low (Tf < 60 MeV) with large transverse flow; thus, the resonance contribution is very small. The difference in the shape of mt spectra of the oppositely charged pions is found to be due to the Coulomb interaction of the pions.
중이온가속기 라온의 HWR#2 저온유지모듈을 위한 PLC 및 PC 기반 로컬 제어 시스템

Superconducting cavities, a HWR#2 cryomodule (type-2 cryomodule for a half-wave resonator cavity) and a local control system for remote control of HWR#2 cryomodule have been developed at the heavy ion accelerator RAON. PLC (programmable logic controller) and Labview software-based on a PC (Personal Computer) have been designed for the local control system of the cryomodule. This local control system operates devices and monitors and archives all signals from the devices. It includes an interlock and alarm system, as well. In this report, we describe the local control system of the HWR#2 cryomodule, which was developed in early 2015 and was tested at cryogenic temperatures. 중이온가속기 라온은 초전도 가속관 (cavity) 및 1/2파 공진 (half wave resonator) 가속관용 유형 2번 저온유지모듈 (HWR#2 cryomodule) 개발에 성공하였으며, 장비들의 원격제어를 위한 로컬 제어 시스템을 구축하였다. 저온유지모듈 (cryomodule)의 로컬 제어 시스템은 엘런브레들리사 (AllenBradley)의 논리프로그램제어기 (programmable logic controller, PLC)와 랩뷰 (labview) 소프트웨어를 이용하여 개인용 컴퓨터 (personal computer, PC) 기반으로 디자인 하였다. 이 로컬 제어시스템은 장비들을 제어하고 변수의 저장 및 모니터링 (monitoring)을 담당하며, 중간차단 (interlock)을 통한 알람 (alarm) 시스템을 가동하고 있다. 이 논문에서는 2015년 초 완성하고 저온 테스트에 사용하고 있는 HWR#2 저온유지모듈의 로컬 제어 시스템 (local control system)에 대하여 설명하고자 한다.

In relativistic heavy-ion collisions, the temperatures obtained from the chemical analysis of hadron ratios and from the thermal analysis of hadron Pt spectrum are different. The interpretation is that chemical freeze-out occurs earlier than thermal freeze-out at higher temperatures. We are developing a dynamical model in which chemical freeze-out occurs at high temperatures and, in the ensuing expansion and cooling of the system, the numbers of each hadron species are kept fixed while collisions among the same hadron species change the temperature until thermal freeze-out. In this paper, we analyze the hadron ratios from the expanding fireball, including the contribution is shown to be crucial in this analysis. 상대론적 중핵이온 충돌에서는 서로 다른 종류의 입자들의 개수의비로부터 얻은 계의 온도와 수직방향 운동량 분포로부터 얻은 온도가서로 다르다. 따라서 입자들의 수가 고정되는 화학적 동결이 먼저일어나고, 후에 열적 동결이 일어나는 것으로 해석된다. 이를 하나의동적 모델로서 설명하고자 하면 화학적 동결 온도에서 입자들의 개수의비율들을 맞추고, 이후 팽창 및 냉각 과정에서의 각 입자들의 수는고정시킨 상태에서 수직운동량 분포를 맞추어야 한다. 본 논문에서는상대론적으로 팽창하는 강입자 계에서 화학적 동결시의 입자 개수의 비를다른 입자들의 붕괴에 의한 효과까지 고려하여 분석하였다.
