중소기업의 협력활동과 지식공유가 기업경쟁력에 미치는 영향: 기업환경요인의 조절효과

Recognizing the significance of inter-firm cooperation for firm`s sustainable competitive advantage in today`s business environment, this study investigates the effects of inter-firm cooperation and knowledge sharing on firm competitiveness based on 327 Korean small and medium sized enterprises. We also examines a mediating effects of knowledge sharing on the relationship between inter-firm cooperation and firm competitiveness and moderating effects of environmental factors on this relationship. The environmental factors are conceptualized by intensity of market competition and technological change. The main findings of the study are as follows: First, the paper found that inter-firm cooperation was positively associated with firm competitiveness while there was also a positive relationship between knowledge sharing and firm competitiveness. Second, it also shows that knowledge sharing partially mediated the relationship of inter-firm cooperation and firm competitiveness. Third, we also found that technological change had negative moderating effects on the relationship between inter-firm cooperation and firm competitiveness. This study suggests that understanding of inter-firm cooperation with consideration of environmental characteristics are required for better firm competitiveness.

BcN (Broadband Convergence Network) is an integrated next generation network that supports high quality broadband multimedia services that require various networks such as data communication, broadcasting, and Internet anytime, anywhere seamlessly. This BcN is a technological base that enables to integrate existing information technology and services, and it promotes development of new goods and services. A lot of investments about BcN business have been achieved with these importance, and now, BcN standardization that is promising great economical benefit becomes a key issue. Therefore, in this report, we apply the 'interindustry analysis' technique to predict economic effect of BcN standardization quantitatively. To do this, we formalize the relation between BcN and related industries using input-output table, and analyze various economic effects against investments for BcN standardization from 2004 to 2010.
시장지향성과 혁신성간의 관계에 있어 기술격변성과 시장격변성의 조절효과 분석

기업가의 전략적 사고가 조직의 생존과 경쟁력에 중요한 요소임이 밝혀지면서 조직과 전략분야에서 이에 다양한 연구가 활발히 진행되어 왔다. 현재까지 많은 연구가 밝히듯, 시장지향성은 전략지향성의 핵심적인 구성요소로서 기업의 성과에 긍정적인 영향이 있음이 보고되고 있다. 그러나 이러한 선행연구들은 대부분 시장지향성과 조직성과간의 직접적 관계검증에 초점이 맞추어져 있어 보다 구체적으로 시장지향성이 어떤 경로와 환경에서 기업의 성과에 영향을 미치는가에 대한 실증분석은 여전히 미진하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 이러한 선행연구의 한계점에 착안하여, 시장지향성과 기업의 혁신성과의 관계를 분석함으로 기업성과에 이르는 중요한 경로와 환경을 설명하고자 한다. 또한 본 연구는 기술격변성과 시장격변성 이라는 조절변수들을 투입하여 이들 관계를 보다 종합적으로 분석하고자 하였다. 국내 중소제조기업에 대한 설문자료를 바탕으로 실증분석을 실시한 결과, 첫째 시장지 향성은 기업의 혁신성과에 직접적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 기술경쟁의 치열함을 나타내는 기술격변성은 시장지향성과 기업혁신성과의 관계를 긍정적으로 조절하였다. 마지막으로 환경의 불확실성 정도를 나타내는 기술격변성과 시장격변성이 높을 수록 경쟁자 지향적 기업들은 기술혁신에 긍정적인 성과를 나타내는 것으로 보고되었다. 본 연구의 결과를 바탕으로 한국중소기업의 혁신성을 높이기 위한 바람직한 이론적, 실무적 시사점이 제시되었다. This study investigated the relationship between market orientations and firm innovativeness in Korean manufacturing SMEs with the moderating effects of technological and market turbulences on the relationship between them. Building on previous literatures, the study constructs and tests a research model using hierarchical regression analysis for data collected from 326 Korean manufacturing SMEs. The results reveal that market orientation has a significant effect on firm innovativeness. In terms of moderating effect, market turbulence appears to negatively moderate the relationship between market orientation and firm innovativeness. Other finding also reports that technology turbulence moderates the relationship between market orientation and firm innovativeness in a positive way. In addition, we found that both technological and market turbulences had a significant moderating role in the relationship between competitor orientation and firm innovativeness. The paper shows that how SMEs in emerging countries have different features of strategic orientation and environmental conditions that may be particularly important for firm innovativeness. Further discussion, implications, limitation of this study and future direction were suggested.
경영진과 종업원 간 보상격차가 기업성과에 미치는 영향 : 승진가능성 및 기회, 경영진에 대한 만족도의 조절효과

Purpose: Prior studies have sought to find antecedent to improve firm performance. However, research on compensation systems and employees' psychological mechanisms have been relatively limited. In this sense, this study has investigated the impact of compensation gap between TMT and employees on firm performance, and explored the factors that affect the above relationship. Specifically, this study analyzed the direct impact of compensation gap on firm performance. In addition, the process of compensation gap to firm performance is assumed to be significantly influenced by employees' recognized promotion system and satisfaction with TMT. Therefore, we examined moderating effects of both promotion probability and opportunity, and satisfaction with TMT on the relationship between compensation gap and firm performance. Methods: For empirical test, financial variables were collected from TS-2000 database, and moderating variables were collected form Job Planet for listed firms in Korea. We conducted hierarchical regression analysis to test hypotheses. Results: The findings of empirical analysis are as follows. First, compensation gap between TMT and employees had a positive effect on firm performance. Second, when promotion probability and opportunity was high, the effect of compensation gap on firm performance was strengthened. Third, when satisfaction with TMT was high, the positive effect of compensation gap on firm performance was also strengthened. Conclusion: Our findings have expanded prior research on human resource management and labor relation by identifying the positive role of compensation gap between TMT and employees on firm outcome. Moreover, our results also indicated that promotion probability and opportunity, and satisfaction with TMT, which has not been addressed well in previous studies, were important conditions enhancing the positive relationship between compensation gap and firm performance. Finally, this study suggest several theoretical and managerial implication with future research direction.
