For the purpose of investigation on the pathogenecity of proteus, first of all, author examined biochemical property and toxigenecity for the isolated proteus. The summarized results were as follows. 1.In the isolation percentage of each animal, the dog was the maximum, 48.6 percent. 2,Biochemical properties of the isolated bacteria were equal to the Proteus which has been described so far, and the classification to depend on Indole production and Maltose fermentation was that approximately 70 percent were Proteus vugaris and Proteus mirabilis, but the rest 300 percent were the intermediate type which is not classified by the above biochemical property. 3.In toxigenecity test 32,4 percent among the isolated bacteria were positively to three kinds of toxigenecities-Hemolysis, the Sperm agglutination and the productivity of necrotictoxin.

The results of serological investigation of the isolated 34 strains were as follows; 1. The majority of the strains was specific in their serological characeristics. 2. In appeared that the cross agglutinated strains were the identical strains. 3. Strain 25 failed to absorbe the agglutinines of the cross-agglutination strains, and also the agglutinine of this strain was not absorbed by the other cross-agglutinating strains. 4. No relationship was observed among the serological properites, biological properties and toxigenecities of the isolated proteus strains.

추적 기간에 따른 유방암 생존자들의 디스트레스와 삶의 질

Purpose: Few studies have reported postdiagnosis differences in distress and quality of life (QOL) for breast cancer (BC) survivors. Here we investigated the differences in distress and QOL for BC survivors in Korea, during follow-up. Methods: Completed questionnaires were collected from 179 BC survivors in 2013. Functional Assessment of Cancer Therapy-Breast was administered to measure the distress and Distress Thermometer and Problem List was administered to measure the QOL. Results: The mean QOL score was 96.69 (standard deviation, ±20.33). Seventy-nine patients (44.1%) with distress-test scores >4 were assigned to the severe distress group. The patient group with higher family income had high QOL score (p=0.008). In addition, QOL scores were significantly higher in patients who lived longer after diagnosis (p=0.016). Patients at high TNM stage had low QOL scores (p=0.006). Furthermore, older patients tended to have high distress scores (p=0.028). Based on duration of the postdiagnosis period, we divided the patients into two groups. Seventy patients had a postdiagnosis period <2 years; 109 patients, postdiagnosis period ≥2 years. Distress score of the under-2-year group (4.26±2.73) was significantly higher (p=0.044) than that of the longer-than-2-year group (3.47±2.42). Conclusion: BC survivors showed improvement in physical well-being, emotional well-being, and functional well-being domain of QOL over time. However, social well-being and BC subscale score were only slightly improved over time. It is possible that cancer patients’ supporting programs are focused on the recently diagnosed patients or those currently undergoing treatment. Therefore, more support should be made available to long-term BC survivors.

PVA (polyvinyl alcohol) brush cleaning method is a typical cleaning method for semiconductor cleaning process especially post-CMP cleaning. PVA brush contacts with the wafer surface and abrasive particle, generating the contact rotational torque of the brush, which is the removal mechanism. The brush rotational torque can overcome theoretically the adhesion force generated between the abrasive particle and wafer by zeta potential. However, after CMP (chemical mechanical polishing) process, many particles remained on the wafer because the brush was contaminated in previous post-CMP cleaning step. The abrasive particle on the brush redeposits to the wafer. The level of the brush contamination increased according to the cleaning run time. After cleaning the brush, the level of wafer contamination dramatically decreased. Therefore, the brush cleanliness effect on the cleaning performance and it is important for the brush to be maintained clearly.
나이브 베이지안 분류자와 메세지 규칙을 이용한 스팸메일 필터링 시스템

인터넷의 급속한 성장과 함께 E-Mail은 대표적인 통신수단의 하나가 되어버렸다. 편리하다는 점을 이용해서 엄청난 양의 스팸메일이 매일같이 쏟아져 오고, 그 문제의 심각성에 정보통신부에서 정보통신망 이용촉진 및 정보 보호등에 관한 법률이라는 새로운 법률까지 생겨났다. 본 논문에서는 이 법률에서 요구하는 ‘광고’라는 문구를 걸러내는 등의 메세지 규칙을 갖는 시스템과 기존의 문서 분류에 널리 쓰이던 나이브 베이지안 분류자(Naive Bayesian Classifier)를 결합한 스팸 메일 필터링 시스템(Spam-mail Filtering System)을 제안한다. 제안된 시스템에서는 사용자가 직접 규칙을 작성할 필요없이 학습한 데이터를 갖고 자동으로 스팸메일을 분류할 수가 있다. 들어온 메일은 메세지 규칙 기반 필터가 먼저 적용되고, 메세지 규칙 기반 필터에서 분류되지 않으면 나이브 베이지안 필터에서 분류된다. 실험에서는 제안된 시스템의 성능을 평가하기 위해서 메세지 규칙을 사용한 시스템 및 나이브 베이지안 분류자 시스템과 비교 평가하였다. 또한 임계치를 변경함으로써 제안된 시스템의 성능을 높일 수 있도록 하였다.

The nutritional support of acutely ill patients is very important and early enteral nutrition is recommended. Feeding via the nasogastric route is used widely for its ease of access if the patient cannot maintain volitional food intake. If the position of the tip or side holes of the nasogastric tube (NGT) is above the gastroesophageal junction, there is the possibility of retention and solidification of the administered enteral feeding formula in the esophagus. Therefore, the tip of the NGT should be checked carefully; a chest radiograph to confirm its position can be considered, especially in patients with a higher risk of aspiration and gastroesophageal reflux. In addition, careful consideration of the risk factors that can trigger esophageal obstruction is required when feeding patients in the intensive care unit. This paper describes two unusual cases of esophageal obstruction caused by the solidification of residue of an enteral feeding formula.
Experimental analysis of lithium niobate CMP for room temperature bonding

Lithium niobate (LN, LiNbO3) is a type of artificial crystal exhibition piezoelectricity, pyroelectric and ferroelectricity, which has been widely used in electronic components. To use in electronic components, a LN wafer has to be bonded to a Si substrate. Bonding of Si and LN allows for ease of micromachining a high quality electrically-sensitive thin film, as well as creating mechanically-rigid diaphragms. For this reason, Si combined with LN is desirable for microelectromechanical system (MEMS) devices such as a pressure sensors, microfluidic devices and optical data storage systems. However, the large difference in thermal expansion coefficient between Si and LN causes serious thermal stresses during the thermal-pressure bonding process which has generally been used. Therefore room temperature bonding would be the best candidate for making a strong and stress-free interface between Si and LN. Room temperature bonding requires a lower surface roughness and lower defect contact on the LN wafer surface than thermal bonding does. A chemical mechanical polishing (CMP) process produces a thin LN wafer with a high quality surface suited for room temperature bonding and with a suitale thickness that affects the sensitivity of the devices. Here LN wafers were polished using a colloidal silica slurry, resulting in a high material removal rate (MRR) and a fine surface quality under a condition of low pH, high abrasive concentration and low flow rate. The polishing mechanism of LN was investigated by mechanical, chemical and thermal analysis.
