Digestive cells of the bivalves have a highly developed lysosomal system and the system is known to be sensitive to changes in environmental qualities. In this study, we measured lysosomal responses of the digestive cells in wild oyster, Crassostrea gigas using frozen section. Oysters were collected in June 2010 from intertidal areas in the inner and outer bay of Gwangyang off the south coast of Korea. From the tissue sections, we measured the digestive cell lysosomal membrane stability (LMS), level of neutral lipids (NL), lipofuscin (LF) and the digestive gland atrophy (DGA). The DGA and condition index of oysters from the inner bay were significantly lower (P<0.05). The statistical test indicated that LMS levels of oysters in the inner bay and the outer bay were not significantly different since a shorter activity was displayed by oysters from the inner bay than that of oysters in outer bay. The LF deposition level of the oysters in the inner bay displayed significantly higher levels than the outer bay (P<0.05). In contrast, the NL accumulation measured from oysters in outer bay was significantly higher than the level observed in the inner bay (P<0.05). Different levels of DGA and LF that were observed in the inner and outer bays were thought to be associated to different level of environmental contamination and these two assays are considered to be good biomarkers.
전기차 배터리의 히트 싱크 유무에 따른 냉각성능에 관한 연구

Recently, as demand for Electric Car has been increasing, it has been a main factor that maximizing performance and ensuring the stability of the Electric Car battery to increase the reliability of Electric Car. Above all the study on thermal control in a big influence on the performance and battery life is growing in parallel. This study has compared cooling effect of an Electric Car battery between battery with Heat Sink and without Heat Sink for optimum design of Electric Car battery. Battery is simply modeled into four cells, divided into two cases of battery with Heat Sink that attached on the cell's side and without Heat Sink. And this research was conducted on forced convection. The battery which is designed by this way was numerically analyzed by CFX 14.5. Numerical results, revealed that the battery with Heat Sink was superior in terms of cooling effect. According to the numerical analysis by battery cell's temperature variations, the battery with Heat Sink turned out to be superior in cooling effect to the battery without Heat Sink.
역추적 시스토릭 어레이 구조 비터비 복호기의 파이프라인 합성

This paper presents a pipeline high-level synthesis tool for designing trace-back systolic array viterbi decoder. It consists of a dta flow graph(DFG) generator and a pipeline data path synthesis tool. First, the DFG of the vitrebi decoder is generated in the from of VHDL netlist. The inputs to the DFG generator are parameters of the convolution encoder. Next, the pipeline scheduling and allocationare performed. The synthesis tool explores the design space efficiently, synthesizes various designs which meet the given constraints, and choose the best one.
산란기 지중해담치 Mytilus galloprovincialis의 조직병리학적 변화 관찰

Sessile marine bivalves including mussels, oysters and clams are often used as a sentinel species in coastal environmental monitoring since changes in the environmental quality are often well preserved in their tissues and shells. In this study, we investigated overall health condition of the Mediterranean Mussel, Mytilus galloprovincialis on the south coast using histology. Reproductive condition as gonad index (GI), condition index (CI) as a ratio of the tissue weight to the shell weight, digestive gland atrophy (DGA), types of parasites, and pathologic conditions including erosion, necrosis, hemocyte infiltration, and neoplasia were examined from each histological preparation. GI decreased from March to July then increased from July to September and spawning mussel could be observed as early as in April and the activity continued until September. CI also followed the monthly changes in GI, indicating that decrease in CI was associated with the weight loss due to spawning. DGA increased from March to June, decreased in July and increased from July to September. High DGA values observed in June and September were coincided with spawning and high water temperature. Histology also showed high prevalence of erosion in the digestive gland in June (36.0%) and September (56.4%), suggesting that high water temperature and spawning acted as environmental stressors. No parasitic organism was identified during the survey, although some symbiotic copepods were observed. Histology was found to be useful and affordable technique in monitoring the overall health of mussel, providing useful pathologic information of the cells and tissues.
역추적 시스토릭 어레이 구조 비터비 복호기의 상위 수준 합성

이 논문에서는 비터비 알고리즘 방식의 복호기를 설계함에 있어 파이프라인 구조의 상위 수준 합성 방식을 통해서 설계영역을 효율적으로 탐사하여 설계자의 목표와 제약조건을 만족시키는 최적의 설계를 찾는 도구를 제시한다. 이 도구는 길쌈 부호기의 레지스터 갯수, 부호율, 역추적 깊이 등을 입력 받아서 이에 적합한 비터비 복호기의 데이터 흐름도를 생성하고, 이것으로부터 제약조건과 설계 목표를 만족시키는 비터비 복호기의 합성결과를 출력한다.

This paper proposes an angle estimation of Segway robot for the slop driving. Most of Segway robot was controlled by pose control of keeping robot’s balance and motor control of driving. In motor control, we analyzed Segway robot kinetically and estimated an angle of inclination using the velocity that depends on input force. In pose control, also, we used PD controller and evaluated a stability of controller through MATLAB simulation. Assuming the robot keeps its balance stably using controller, we could linearize dynamics. We could obtain the result through the experiment which estimates an angle using the velocity of Segway robot that is derived from linearized dynamics.
