        Effect of Russian Current Stimulation on Muscular Performance and Muscle Activity of Quadriceps Femoris Muscle of Convalescent Patient after Leg Fracture

        본 연구에서는 하지 골절 후 회복기 환자에게 러시안전류 자극이 넙다리네갈래근의 근수행력과 활성도에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위하여 실시하였다. 본 연구는 2013년 1월 9일에서 2013년 3월 16일까지 실시하였으며, 하지 골절 후 회복기에 있는 환자 20명을 대상으로 실험을 실시하였다. 러시아 전류자극기의 큰 도자를 넙다리네갈래근의 근위부에 위치하고, 작은 도자는 원위부에 부착시키고 한 주에 세 번, 6주 동안 적용하였다. 대상자의 넙다리네갈래근의 근활성도를 측정하기 위해 근전도가 이용되었고, 근수행력을 측정하기 위해 등속성기기가 이용되었다. 연구결과 기간별 넙다리네갈래근의 근수행력 차이는 러시안전류 치료 전과 비교하여 4주 후와 6주 후에서 유의한 근수행력의 증가를 나타내었다. 또한 넙다리곧은근, 안쪽넓은근, 가쪽넓은근의 근활성도는 치료 전과 비교하여 4주 후와 6주에서 유의한 증가를 나타내었다. 이와 같은 결과는 러시안 전류가 하지 골절 등과 같은 문제로 인해 약화된 하지 근육의 근력 강화를 위해 선택될 수 있는 효과적 치료 방법이라 할 수 있다. The present study was aimed to comprehend the effect of the Russian current stimulation on the muscular performance and activity of quadriceps femoris muscle of the convalescent patient after the leg fracture.This study conducted test based on 20 patients after leg fracture. Russian current was applied for six weeks as three times in a week, between January 9, 2013 and 15 March 16, 2013. The electromyogram was used to measure the muscle activity of the quadriceps femoris, and the isokinetic equipment was used to measure the muscular performance. The muscular performance difference by duration depending on the application of the Russian current showed the significant increase in all muscular performances. The activity of all muscles of the quadriceps femoris muscle by duration showed significant increase. These results showed that the Russian current can be the effective treatment method for enhancing the muscular strength of the weakened lower limbs muscle due to the problem such as the leg fracture.

        대퇴사두근에 키네시오 테이핑 적용이 보행특성에 미치는 효과

        Background : The purpose of present study was to investigate the effect of quadriceps femoris taping in normal gait using 3D motion capture technique. Method : Twenty healthy volunteers, have no musculoskeletal problems, were recruited as subjects for this study. In experimental group, 20 healthy young(males 10 and females 10) were included. The subjects were assessed during two conditions: control tape(no muscle stretched) and quadriceps (muscle stretched)taping application. To obtain the dynamic data, we captured the motion of subject attached markers without taping during repeated gaits five times or more in 7 m Capture volume of gait analysis center. The result was obtained as a mean value in three times. After taping on quadriceps femoris, the same procedure was carried out. Statistical analysis were performed using statistical software packagess SPSS WIN 12.0(SPSS, Chicago, IL, USA). Differences were tested for statistical significance using paired t-test, independent t-test, chi-squared test for comparisons between the muscle stretched and no muscle stretched. Results : The date of 20 subjects who carried out the whole experimental course were statistically analyzed. 1. gait velocity was showed that muscle stretched group had more significantly increased than no muscle stretched group(p<.05). 2. step length was showed that muscle stretched group had more significantly increased than no muscle stretched group(p<.05). 3. cadens was showed that muscle stretched group had more significantly increased than no muscle stretched group(p<.05). Conclusion : kinesio taping on quadriceps femoris promoted cadence, gait velocity, step length in normal subject (muscle stretched) group.

        Gliding-Mobilization이 견관절유착성관절낭염 환자의 관절가동범위에 미치는 영향

        Purpose : The purpose of this study is to prove the increasing range of motion of joint to the patients of adhesive capsulitis of the shoulder applied the gliding-mobilization. Subjects and methods : The subjects are patients of adhesive capsulitis of the shoulder who have limited range of motion due to capsular pattern on the shoulder. The subjects are volunteer patients without a history of neuromuscular problems and randomly distributed into two groups. 15 experimental subjects(4 male, 11 female) received therapy with gliding-mobilization applied on limited shoulder joint and a second group with 15 control subjects(6 male 9 female) was treated by physiological passive range of motion therapy. The data were analyzed with paired t-test to determine striking differences depending on the course of treatment. Result : 1) In the group treated by gliding-mobilization the range of motion in shoulder flexion was increased in accordance to the course of treatment, and paired t-test showed striking differences(p<.05). 2) The range of motion in shoulder extension was increased in accordance to the course of treatment, and paired t-test showed striking differences(p<0.05). 3) The range of motion in shoulder abduction was increased with serise of treatment, and paired t-test showed striking differences(p<0.05). Conclusion : The gliding-mobilization increases the range of motion of the patient of adhesive capsulitis of the shoulder.

        대퇴사두근에 대한 탄력테이핑 적용이 보행주기에 미치는 효과

        일부 농촌지역 재가 장애인의 요구도 분석

        The survey was conducted with participation of the 289 handicapped persons residing at the rural area OOeup-gun in Kyungbook for the period of March 2 - May 31, 2006, to study the nature in general of the handicapped and the boundaries of their need. For the nature in general of the handicapped, the study was done by gender iscrimination, age, marital status, religion, educational level, occupation, monthly income, disability cause, disabled duration, disability type, disability level. For the boundaries of their need, the study was done by demand of financial support, educational demand, demand of voluntary workers, need of rehabilitation and medical treatment, job training, improvement of living conditions, or so. Using the Win.SPSS program, we made a frequency analysis and conclusions on the nature in general of the handicapped and the boundaries of their need on a 2-test. Conclusions are : 1. Nature in general of the handicapped The existence of the handicapped shows high at the age over 51 (71.6%), male-handicapped (65.1%), primary school graduates (62.9%), farming engaging (65.2%), monthly income less than one million Won (80.5%), cause by disease (53.8%), duration more than 10 years (61.6%), disability at level 3 (39.8%), extremity disability (66.4%). 2. Correlation of nature in general with demand of the handicapped a. In demanding the financial support, support for helper’s compensation shows high (p<0.05). In demanding the necessity of voluntary workers, the male-handicapped appears high during the absence of family assistance and the female-handicapped appears differently per week and also appears high during the absence of family assistance (p<0.05). b. In educational demand of the handicapped by their age, the age below 30 demands technical-job training and the age over 31 demands medical education for health care (p<0.01). c. In demanding the financial support by educational level, support for living cost shows high (p<0.05). d. In demanding improvement of living conditions by postnatal cause of disability, improvement of house structure shows high (p<0.05). e. In demanding assistance of voluntary workers by disabled duration, "No Need" shows high in the disabled duration more than 4 years (p<0.05). f. In demanding rehabilitation and medical treatment by disability type, home-visiting treatment, oriental medical treatment and physical therapy show high (p<0.001). g. In educational demand by disability level, medical education for health care shows high (p<0.01).

        트레드밀 운동이 고지혈증 흰쥐의 혈액 성분과 항산화효소 및 활성산소에 미치는 영향

        PURPOSE: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of treadmill exercise on blood components and antioxidant system in hyperlipidemic rats. METHODS: Three weeks old male rats were randomly assigned into General diet(GD, n=10), High fat Diet(HD, n=10), and High fat diet+Treadmill exercise(HDT, n=10) groups. Treadmill exercise consisted of the treadmill running 5 times per week during 6 weeks(30 min/time for first 3 weeks and 60 min/time the other 3 weeks). RESULTS: The levels of triglyceride and total cholesterol were increased in HD group compared with GD group, and recovered to level of GD group by treadmill exercise(p<.05). Plasma glucose and insulin concentrations were increased in HD group compared with GD group, and recovered to level of GD group by treadmill exercise(p<.05). Glutathione(GSH) and glutathione reductase(GRD) concentrations were decreased in HD group compared with GD group, and these decreases returned to the level of GD group by treadmill exercise(p<.05). Xanthine oxidase(XO) and malondialdehyyde (MDA) concentrations were increased in HD group compared with GD group, and these increases retuned to the level of GD group by treadmill exercise(p<.05). CONCLUSION: This study showed that treadmill exercise application were effective treatment strategy on hyperlipidemia. Therefore, it could be considered as a treatment method in the patients with hyperlipidemia disease. Treadmill exercise, Hyperlipidemia, Blood components.

        The Effects of Home Based Exercise Program on Balance Recovery in a Post-Stroke Population

        The present study was designed to investigate the effect of home based exercise program on balance recovery of stroke patients. In total, 20 participants were assigned to a control group(n=10) or exercise group(n=10) between September 2013 and December 2013. In addition to existing physiotherapy, the exercise group received home based exercise program consisting of weight transfer, training endurance, mobility, sensory retraining, lower limb exercise for 30 minutes, 2 times a week, for 8 weeks, every time for 30 minutes. Balance ability was assessed by measuring foot pressure(FP), limit of stability(LOS) and velocity sway(VS) by using Biorescue and by using the functional reaching test(FRT). To compare the improvement level of each group's balance ability, examination of independent sample T was done. Significant differences between control group and exercise group in LOS, VS of affect side and FRT were observed. This study showed that home based exercise program application was effective strategy on balance recovery in a post stroke population. 본 연구는 가정운동프로그램이 뇌졸중 환자의 균형능력회복에 미치는 효과를 알아보기 위하여 실시하였다. 본 연구는 2013년 9월에서 2013년 12월까지 실시하였으며, 대상자는 총 20명으로 일반적인 통원 물리치료를 실시한 조군 10명, 일반적인 통원 물리치료를 실시하고 추가적으로 가정운동프로그램을 실시한 운동군 10명으로 나누어 배정하였다. 가정운동프로그램은 신경계 물리치료사가 대상자 집을 방문하여 8주동안 주 2회씩 매회 30분간 시행하였으며 체중이동훈련, 지구력훈련, 운동재훈련, 감각재훈련, 하지운동으로 구성되었다. 균형능력을 평가하기 위하여 Biorescu를 이용하여 족저압, 안정성한계, 동요속도를 측정하였고 임상적인 측정방법 중 하나인 기능적 팔뻗기 검사를 실시하였다. 연구결과 대조군과 운동군은 안정성한계, 동요속도, 기능적 팔뻗기 검사에서 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 본 연구는 가정운동프로그램이 뇌졸중 환자의 균형회복을 회복하는데 효과적인 치료전략 중 하나라는 것을 나타낸다.

        환자의 일반적 특성과 의료기관에 따른 물리치료 서비스 및 물리치료사에 대한 만족도 조사 - 김천지역 중심으로 -

        Background: The purpose of this study show the degree of physical therapy service and physical therapist according to medical institution by measuring and determining the factor affecting patient satisfaction in the Gimcheon city. Methods: For this study 100 questionnaires were distributed to medical institution, Gimcheon city from Jul 20 to Aug 5, 2008. The consisted of total 28 items. The contents item divided the general characteristics into nine heads, the satisfaction of physical therapy service into nine heads, and the physical therapy into ten heads. Survey data were collected by a written questionnaire. The collected date were analyzed by t-test, ANOVA. Results: There was difference with statistic value in physical therapy according to medical security and handicapped or non-handicapped(p<.05). There was difference with statistic value in physical therapy service and physical therapist according to medical institution. The score of patient satisfaction at welfare facilities was significantly lesser than other medical institution(p<.05). Conclusion: There was difference with statistic value in physical therapy service and physical therapist according to a number of patients of physical therapy a day.

        상상 훈련과 진동 운동의 적용이 수직점프의 수행력에 미치는 영향

        Purpose The Purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of image training and vibration on performance of vertical jumping. Methods Subjects was classified into two groups, which were image training group (n=20) and vibration application group (n=20). The standard methods of each intervention were image training with listening recorded indication for 5 minute and vibration with speed of 1200±200 rpm, Muscle strength was measured using vertical jump performance, Results The vertical jump performance was significantly increased after image training and vibration application (p<.05), however, it was more significantly after image training (p<.05), Conclusion This study showed that image training and vibration application were effective treatment strategy on increase of muscle strength. Therefore, it could be considered as a treatment method in the patients with musculoskeletal disease including fracture, chronic degenerative disease and disuse atrophy.

        The Effects of Isokinetic Exercise Program on the Muscle Strength and Blood Constituent by the Relatively Angular Velocities

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of angular velocity on muscle strength and blood constituent. Subjects was classified into two groups, which were 60°/sec angular velocity group (n=8), and 240°/sec angular velocity group (n=8). Each group was applied to perform the isokinetic exercises on extensor muscle group for each 7 times in 10 set (3 days per a week for 3 weeks). Muscle strength was measured using peak torque of quadriceps femoris and blood constituent was measured using RBC, WBC and Hb. The peak torque was more significantly increased after 3 weeks application of 60°/sec angular velocity group than 240°/sec angular velocity group. The RBC and Hb were more significantly increased after 3 weeks application of 60°/sec angular velocity group than 240°/sec angular velocity group. But WBC was more significantly increased after 3 weeks application of 240°/sec angular velocity group than 60°/sec angular velocity group. These results indicate that 60°/sec angular velocity isokinetic exercise application were effective treatment strategy on increase of muscle strength. But 240°/sec angular velocity isokinetic exercise application were effective treatment strategy on immune protect system.
