The aggregate materials being scottored in districts of the country were investigated to provide the data to the Consturction worker who are working without quality tests of construction materials in the small scale land consolidation, farm building construction and new village Construction projects in the country. Also results of the survey will be helpful to those who want to devise a succerrful plan in concrete execution by means of specifying a standard and technical treatment of construction materials.

Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography(ERCP) is one of the important diagnostic methods for pancreatic cancer. It has an essential role in the early detection of pancreatic cancer. The ERCP findings of 35 cases of pathologically proven pancreatic cancer during the period of five and a half years from April 1977 through November 1982 at Kwangju Christian Hospital were studied. The results were as follows : 1. The ratio of male of female was 3.4 : 1, and most of the patients were over 40 years of age (88.5%). 2. The locations of the lesions were the head in 28 cases (80%), the body in 7 cases (20%), and the tail in 3 cases (8.6%). 3. The ERCP findings of pancreatic cancers were as follows ; 1) Encasement or obstruction of common bile duct, 18 cases (51.4%). 2) Obstruction of pancreatic duct, 16 cases (45.7%). 3) Irregular stenosis of pancreatic duct, 8 cases (22.3%). 4) Double duct sign, 7 cases (20%). 5) Diffuse narrowing of pancreatic duct, 2 cases (5.7%).

NAD^(+)-linked glutamate dehydrogenase(L-glutamate : NAD^(+) oxidoreductase, desminating, EC 1.4.1.3) of rabbit erythrocytes during cytosol differentiation has been studied. The rabbits were injected with phenylhtdrazine on day 0.1 and 3 at intervals, the blood samples were taken by cardiac puncture, and the activity of glutamate dehydrogenase in cytosolic and mitochondrial fraction of reticulocytes was assayed by the method of King. The results observed were as follows: 1. Activity of cytosolic glutamate dehydrogenase was about 4.0 unit from normal rabbit erythrocyte, however no appreciable enzyme activity was found in mitochomdrial fraction. 2. In phenylhydrazine-produced reticulocytosis, the total glutamate dehydrogenase activity was maximal on 5 day, about 34.5mits which is abouty 8.3 times higher than that of normal value. 3. The increase in total activity of glutamate dehydrogenase during the induction of reticulocytosis was primarily to 6.7 folds increase in the cytoselic isozyme(K_(s)=0.01161 ; K_(d)=0.0043 ; t1/2=161.16 hrs.), for mitochondrial isozyme(K_(s)=0.0675, K_(d)=0.090 ; t1/2=77.0 hrs). 4. The rate of constants follwing recovery from phenylhydrazine treatment were, Ks=0.0161, K_(d)=0.0320; 1/2=21.66 hrs, for cytosolic isozyme and K_(s)=0.0916 ; K_(d)=0.0229 ; t1/2=30.26 hrs, for mitochondrial isozyme.

Background: Southeast Asia faces severe air pollution challenges due to rapid urbanization, industrial activities, and seasonal biomass burning. Objectives: This study provided a comprehensive understanding of air pollution control strategies in the Southeast Asia region by investigating air quality standards, ambient air quality levels, monitoring capabilities, and air pollution policies across Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) member states. Methods: Ambient air quality standards and information about monitoring stations were collected from government websites and governmental reports. Air pollution data, specifically PM2.5 concentrations, were collected from an open data source named IQAir.com. Air pollution policies were investigated via Google search and the most recently revised policies were incorporated into the findings of this study. Results: The study found considerable disparities in monitoring networks among ASEAN member states, with national standards often less stringent than World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines. Open data sources revealed that PM2.5 levels in ASEAN member states consistently exceeded WHO guidelines, particularly in the dry season with widespread biomass burning. The policy review revealed that each ASEAN member state presented distinct policies tailored to its air pollution sources and air quality management strategies. These findings underscore the need for both national efforts and cross-border collaboration to effectively address the severe air pollution in the region. Conclusions: This study could serve as a foundational resource for a deeper understanding of air pollution issues in ASEAN member states and for exploring more effective air pollution management strategies.
