In this study, an HP-mod. type(KHR-45A), which is used as a heater tube material in the pyrolysis process, was evaluated for its carburizing properties. It was confirmed from the microstructural observation of the tubes that the volume fraction of carbide increased and that the coarsening of Cr-carbide generated as a degree of carburization increased. The depth of the hardened layer, which is similar to the thickness of the carburized region of each specimen, due to carburization is confirmed by measurement of the micro-Vickers hardness of the cross section tube, which thickness is similar to that of the carburized region of each specimen. Two types of chromium carbides were identified from the EBSD (electron back-scattered diffraction) image and the EDS (energy-dispersive spectroscopy) analysis: Cr-rich $M_{23}C_6$ in the outer region and Cr-rich $M_7C_3$ in the inner region of tubes. The EDS analysis revealed a correlation between the ferromagnetic behavior of the tubes and the chromium depletion in the matrix. The chromium depletion in the austenite matrix is the main cause of the magnetization of the carburized tube. The method used currently for the measurement of the carburization of the tubes is confirmed; carburizing evaluation is useful for magnetic flux density measurement. The volume fraction of the carbide increased as the measuring point moved into the carburized side; this was determined from the calculation of the volume fraction in the cross-section image of the tubes. These results are similar to the trends of carburization measurement when those trends were evaluated by measurement of the magnetic flux density.

In 2021, the National Fire Agency recorded 141 traffic accidents involving 119 ambulances. A common scenario involves collisions at intersections, where ambulances often running into a red light intersect with vehicles proceeding with a green light. These accidents entail special attention because of the potential threats they pose not only to emergency medical service (EMS) personnel but also to the safety of patients and other vehicles on the road. Many studies have emphasized that it is necessary to reinforce the priority rights of ambulance and the duty of other vehicles to yield. However, research addressing challenges faced by ambulance drivers has remained insufficient. This study conducted a survey of EMS personnel about their psychological status while driving an ambulance and the use of warning lights and sirens. Prevention of traffic accidents related to 119 ambulances entails data collection and statistical analysis, reinforcement of professionals, expansion of emergency vehicle priority signaling systems, and development of simulator-based training programs. Policies that do not reflect ambulance drivers’ psychological state and driving patterns might turn out to be ineffective. 소방청 통계에 의하면 119 구급차(이하 “구급차”라 한다)와 관련된 교통사고는 2021년에 141건이 발생하였다. 대표적인 유형은 교차로에서 적색등화에 진입한 구급차와 녹색등화에 진행한 상대방 차량이 충돌하는 것이다. 구급차의 교통사고는 구급대원뿐만 아니라 환자와 보호자, 그리고 상대방 차량에 승차한 인원의 생명과 안전을 위협한다. 「도로교통법」상 긴급자동차인 구급차의 우선 통행 및 특례를 강화하여야 한다는 선행연구는 다수 있었다. 하지만 구급차 운전자를 대상으로 한 연구는 부족하였다. 본 연구는 구급대원을 대상으로 구급차 운전 중의 심리상태, 경광 등 및 사이렌 사용실태 등에 대한 설문조사를 실시하였다. 구급차와 관련된 교통사고를 예방하고 피해를 경감시키기 위해서는 데이터의 수집 및 통계분석, 전문인력의 보강, 긴급자동차 우선 신호 시스템의 확대, 시뮬레이터에 기반한 교육훈련 개발, 구급차의 안전에 관계되는 옵션 강화가 필요하다. 특히 이에 대한 정책개발 과정에 구급차 운전자의 심리상태와 운전패턴을 반영하여야 한다.

The contact force between the dummy and the interior parts of the car is the important index that affects the behavior of the dummy. The contact algorithm for the occupant analysis software is enhanced by a contact theory which is an extension of the Hertz equation in plastic range. Young's modulus and the Poisson's ratio are used for the explicit equations. The contact force can be estimated without the force-deflection function from experiments.<br/>

기존의 홍채인식 시스템에서 사용된 홍채영역추출 방법의 경우 불필요한 정보를 포함하여 추출하기 때문에 효과적인 특징추출이 어렵게 된다. 본 논문에서는 홍채영역을 효율적으로 추출하기 위한 새로운 접근방법으로서, 통계 정보를 이용하여 홍채영역을 추출하는 방법을 제안한다. 획득된 그레이레벨의 눈 영상에서 홍채영역의 경우 다른 영역보다 픽셀들간의 값의 변화율이 크기 때문에 간단한 영상처리를 통해 홍채영역이라 판단되는 영역을 강조한 뒤 그 값들의 통계정보를 이용한다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 방법은 실세계의 눈 영상을 이용한 실험을 통하여 그 성능을 검증하였다.

The injection molded Fe sintered bodies were fabricated using two kinds of Fe powders haying 50 nm and $3\sim5{\mu}m$ in diameter. In the using of Fe powder having 50 nm in diameter, the comparatively dense bodies ($94\sim97\%$) were obtained even at low sintering temperature ($600\sim700^{\circ}C$), while in the sintered bodies ($1000^{\circ}C$) using $3\sim5{\mu}m$ Fe powder, their relative densities showed low values about $93\%$, although they were strongly depend on the sintering temperature and volume ratio of Fe powder and binder. In the sintered bodies using of 50 nm Fe powders, the volume shrinkage and grain size increased as the sintering temperature increased, but the values of hardness decreased. In the sample sintered at $650^{\circ}C$, the values of relative density, volume shrinkage and grain size were $96\%,\;37\%\;and\;0.97{\mu}n$, respectively and the minimum value of wear depth was obtained due to combination of fine grain and comparatively high density.
유기금속 화학기상증착법을 이용한 TiO<sub>2</sub> 나노선 제조

$TiO_2$ nanowires were self-catalytically synthesized on bare Si(100) substrates using metallorganic chemical vapor deposition. The nanowire formation was critically affected by growth temperature. The $TiO_2$ nanowires were grown at a high density on Si(100) at $510^{\circ}C$, which is near the complete decomposition temperature ($527^{\circ}C$) of the Ti precursor $(Ti(O-iPr)_2(dpm)_2)$. At $470^{\circ}C$, only very thin (< $0.1{\mu}m$) $TiO_2$ film was formed because the Ti precursor was not completely decomposed. When growth temperature was increased to $550^{\circ}C$ and $670^{\circ}C$, the nanowire formation was also significantly suppressed. A vaporsolid (V-S) growth mechanism excluding a liquid phase appeared to control the nanowire formation. The $TiO_2$ nanowire growth seemed to be activated by carbon, which was supplied by decomposition of the Ti precursor. The $TiO_2$ nanowire density was increased with increased growth pressure in the range of 1.2 to 10 torr. In addition, the nanowire formation was enhanced by using Au and Pt catalysts, which seem to act as catalysts for oxidation. The nanowires consisted of well-aligned ~20-30 nm size rutile and anatase nanocrystallines. This MOCVD synthesis technique is unique and efficient to self-catalytically grow $TiO_2$ nanowires, which hold significant promise for various photocatalysis and solar cell applications.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between sprint and lower extremity muscle strength in elementary school baseball players. Thirty-three elementary school baseball players participated in the study. The sprint was measured using a stopwatch. The lower extremity muscle strength was measured using a portable muscle strength tester. For the analysis, correlation analysis was used. As a result, there was a correlation for knee flexion and extension (r= -.703, p<.001), hip extension (r= -.571, p<.05), dorsi flexion (r= -.544, p<.05) and plantar flexion (r= -.541, p<.05). In conclusion, it is thought that the lower extremity muscle strength of the baseball player will help the baseball game.
