Citrus essential oil were extracted from citron peel of cultivated in Gohong (CCP) using environmentally friendly supercritical carbon dioxide method. Antioxidant activity and aroma composition of the essential oils extracted by the SC-CO2 method were evaluated by comparing with those extracted by organic solvent method. Fatty acid composition, DPPH scavenging, and antioxidant activity of the oils obtained by different extraction condition of SC-CO2 method were investigated and their antioxidant activities were compared with commercially available lavender, eucalyptus and tea tree oils. As the results, linoleic acid was most abundantly found from CCP oil extracted by the SC-CO2 method and cis-11,144-eicosadienoic acids was second abundantly found. Radical scavenging ability of DPPH was 98% when the concentration of CCP oil was 50 mg/mL. This scavenging ability increased with the increase of oil concentration. On the other hand, flavonoids content (84 mg/100g) of the CCP oil extracted by the SC-CO2 method was slightly higher than that (75 mg/100g) by hexane extraction. The results, obtained from CCP oil by GC-MS, indicated that, among 66 components, the content of terpenes was 55.8% and limonene was 27.3%.

이 연구는 3-(1,8나프탈이미도)프로필메타아크릴레이트(NIPM)와 GMA공중합체의 합성과 물성에 관한 과제로서 나프탈이미드 발색단을 가진 공중합체의 조성, 모노머 반응성비, 공명효과(Q)와 극성효과 (e), 형광특성 등을 조사하였다. Azobisisobutyronitronitryl(AIBN) 개시제와 dimethylformamide(DMF) 용매를 60℃에서 공중합하였다. Fineman-Ross(F-R)와 Kelen-Tudos(K-T)법으로 부터 단량체 반응성비를 구하였으며, r1값이 r2보다 크게 나타났다. NIPM이 공중합체내에서 GMA보다 더 많음을 알 수 있다. 380 nm에서 약한 분자형광띠와 460 nm에서 강한 중합체 엑시머 형광띠가 나타났다. This work, which was about the synthesis of 3-(1,8-Naphthalimido) propyl methacrylate and GMA copolymers and their physical properties, investigated the compositions of the copolymer, the reactivity ratios of the monomer, resonance effect(Q), polar effect(e) and fluorescence effect of 1,8-naphthalicanhydride. Azobisisobutyronitronitryl(AIBN) as an initiator was employed at 60℃ with dimethylformamide(DMF) of solvent for the copolymerization of NIPM. r1 was found to be higher than r2 from the reactivity ratios of the monomer obtained from F-R and K-T methods. NIPM was found to be more copolymerized than GMA. The fluorescence spectrums of these polymers showed a weak monomer fluorescence band at 380 nm and a strong excimer fluorescence band at about 460 nm.

이 논문은 napthalimidopropylacrylate(NIPA)와 glycidylmethacrylate(GMA) 공중합체의 함성과 물성에 관한 연구로서 공중합체의 조성, 단량체 반응성비, 공명효과(Q)와 극성효과(e), 나프탈렌발색단을 가진 물질의 형광특성 등을 조사하였다. Azobisisobutyronitronitryl(AIBN) 개시제와 dimethylformamide(DMF)용매를 60℃에서 공중합하였다. 단량체의 반응성비는 Fineman-Ross(F-R), Kelen-Tudos(K-T)법으로 단량체 반응성비를 구한바, r1은 r2보다 크게 나타났다. NIPA이 GMA보다 공중합의 형성이 더 많음을 알 수 있다. 단량체 반응성비의 곱(r1·r2)이 1보다 적어서 불규칙한 교대공중합체가 형성되었고 다른 단량체끼리 결합하게 된 교호공중합체를 형성된 것으로 간주된다. 380 nm에서 약한 분자 형광띠와 460nm에서 강한 중합체 엑시머 형과띠가 나타났다. NIPA 단량체의 형광수명은 실온에서 UV 355 nm 파장에서 형광붕괴커브를 나타냈으며 5.1449×10-7s로 나타났다. GMA 공단량체를 아크릴계에 공중합시켜 우수한 내열성 열경화성 접착제나 코팅제에 응용될 것으로 사료된다. Fluorescence life time of NIPA monomer showed fluorescence cover with UV 355 nm at room temperature, and life time showed 5.1449×10-7s.

The conductive polymer composites have attracted considerable attention in the field of industry due to their electrical properties. To understand electrical properties of the composites, their volume specific resistance was measured. Electrical conductivity results showed percolation phenomena. Percolation theories are frequently applied to describe the insulator-to-conductor transitions in the composites composed of conductive filler and insulating matrix. It was found that the percolation threshold strongly depends on the aspect ratio of filler particles. The critical concentration of percolation formed is defined as the percolation threshold. The purpose of this study was to examine electrical properties of the epoxy resins filled with nickel. The sample was prepared using vehicle such as epoxy resin replenished with nickel powder, and the evaluation on their practical use was performed in order to apply them to electric and electronic industry as well as general field. The volume specific resistance of epoxy resin composites was 4.666~13.074 when using nickel powder. Weight loss of the conductive composites took place at 350℃~470℃.

Citrus oils obtained from citrus by-products are widely used in many areas because of their bioactive nature. However, their use in products has been restricted due to phototoxicity and other health problems of some of the non-volatile compounds, especially bergapten. We studied the effect of supercritical carbon dioxide (SC-CO2) extraction conditions on the minimization of bergapten content for the oils obtained from a combination of citrus peels and seeds. The influence of combined citrus byproducts on cytotoxicity, antimicrobial activity, and other quality characteristics was studied so that those by-products can be used effectively. A second-order polynomial model showed a suitable fitting of the experimental value for the bergapten content (R2 = 0.977, p < 0.05). Optimization (minimization of bergapten content) and validation were performed. The optimum conditions were 200.54 bar, 46.28°C and 34.98 g/min for pressure, temperature, and flow rate, respectively. The corresponding predicted value was 37.82 μg/g oil, which agreed well with the experimental value (38.36 ± 0.44 μg/g oil), affirming the adequacy and validity of the predicted model. The oil displayed higher antimicrobial activity and was less susceptible to fungi than bacteria. The cytotoxicity of the oil on HaCaT cells was low (84.59 ± 1.24% cell viability) for a concentration of 500 μg/mL. SC-CO2 extraction of a mixture of citrus byproducts can yield oils with low bergapten content, low toxicity, and higher antimicrobial activity, which could have a variety of applications.

This study investigated the impact of combining citrus seeds and citrus peels on the bioactivity of theresulting oil obtained using a modified supercritical carbon dioxide. The total phenolic and totalflavonoidcontents were determined, and the citrus-peel and citrus-seed oils exhibited high content. In addition,antioxidant activity was determined, and the oil extracted using SC-CO2 + ethanol at 200 bar exhibitedhigh IC50 values of 0.52 and 0.53 mg/ml for citrus-peel alone and mixture oils, respectively, for the DPPHassay. Oil from the mixture exhibited high antimicrobial activity, and the oils were more susceptible forgram-positive than gram-negative bacteria.

The experiment was made with vehicle such as epoxy resin replenished with copper powder and the study about their practical use was performed in order to apply to electric and electronic industry as well as general field. The volume specific resistance of epoxy resin composites was 3.065~13.325 in using copper powder. The weight loss of conductive composites happened from 350℃~470℃.
