This paper proposes a 24-bit floating point multiply and accumulate(MAC) unit that can be used in geometry transformation process in 3D graphics. The MAC unit is composed of floating point multiplier and floating point accumulator. When separate multiplier and accumulator are used, matrix calculation, used in the transformation process, can't use continuous accumulation values. In the proposed MAC unit the accumulator can get continuous input from the multiplier and the calculation time is reduced. The MAC unit uses about 4,300 gates and can be operated at 150 MHz frequency.

The effect of injector configuration including the injection angle and number of nozzle holes has been investigated in a heavy duty diesel homogeneous charge compression ignition (HCCI) engine. The HCCI engine has advantages of simultaneous reduction of PM (particulate matter) and NOx (nitrogen oxide) emissions by achieving the spatially homogeneous distribution of diesel and air mixture, which results in no fuel-rich zones and low combustion temperature. However, a fuel wall-film, which was formed on the surface of the piston squish area and cylinder liner, caused increases in HC (hydro carbon) and CO (carbon monoxide) emission. Also reduction of indicated mean effective pressure (IMEP) and deterioration of coefficient of variation-IMEP (COV-IMEP) was occurred because of excessively advanced ignition and the formation of lean air-fuel mixture. A hole-type injector (8 holes) with small injection angle (70˚) instead of conventional angle (146˚) was applied to solve this problem. The multi-hole injector (14 holes) was also tested to maximize the atomization of diesel. Results showed that the small injection angle minimizes the wall-impingement of diesel fuel, and which result in high power output and low PM emission. The multi-hole injector could decrease the spray penetration at low in-cylinder pressure as well as improved fuel atomization. EGR (exhaust gas recirculation) was applied to compensate reduction of IMEP through retarding ignition timing after TDC (Top dead center). An increase in the amount of EGR resulted in further reduction in NOx and improvement of IMEP.

IT project teams are composed of experts from various domains with different backgrounds, such as business and technologies. Thus, enhancing knowledge sharing and increasing team social capital are critical for the success of the project. This study examines the relationship among the team social capital, team climate and team performance. A research model and hypotheses are developed from literature review and empirically validated. The research model consists of team social capital, team climate and team performance. Specifically, team social capital, as antecedents, wasconceptualized asinternal and external differentiated by team boundary, and team climate is conceptualized as innovative climate and supportive climate. Using measures adopted from previous studies, 166 data points were collected to test the research model and related hypotheses. PLS data analysis indicated that internal and external social capitalhave positive effect on innovative climate while internal social capital has a positive effect on supportive team climate. The innovative and supportive climate has significant effect on the team performance. Based on the results, we proposed several team management skills for IT project managers. Theoretical constributions are discussed at the end with limitations and further studies.

This article argues that a correct understanding of the doctrine of the Trinity can help Muslims accept the truth of Christianity despite that the doctrine of the Trinity is an obstacle to Muslims. To this end, we first examined Islams overall understanding of the Trinity and representative verses from Quran, and suggested the possibility that the three representative verses used to deny the Trinity cannot be seen as a denial of the Trinity doctrine of the mainstream Christians. However, it cannot be denied that some other verses of the Quran and Islamic doctrine in general refute the Trinity. As for the Christian understanding of the Trinity, although the term Trinity is not mentioned in the Bible, several biblical texts evidence that the Trinity is a core doctrine of Christianity based on the Bible. In addition, we noticed that the orthodox church consolidated the doctrine of the Trinity in response to heretics challenges to the biblical concept of the Trinity and that in this process, terms not used in the Bible were used to explain biblical concepts. And in the discussion about the views of God between the early Islam and Christianity, the most controversial issue for the early Islam in relation to Christianity was the Trinity and the divinity and humanity of Jesus Christ just as they were the issues challenged by heretics throughout previous church history. In addition, the article explored how Arab Christians defended the doctrine of the Trinity in response to the challenge of Islams view of God’s absolute oneness. The apologetics of the Trinity can be divided into two approaches: an approach that seeks to prove that the view of trinitarian God is more valid and superior to the Islamic view of God, and an approach that attempts to prove that the view of a trinitarian God is probable even within the framework of the Islamic view of God. Even today, the basic issues concerning the Trinity from the early days of Islam continues. Also, through the examples of the two contemporary Christian scholars apologetics, we find that the same vein of apologetics for the Trinity continues since the early dialogue between Islam and Christianity. In addition, the writer addresses the necessity of efforts to correct Muslims distorted view of the Sons sonship through the discussion on the Sons eternal sonship and eternal generation. Lastly, the implications of the comparative study of Christianity and Islam on the Trinity were briefly mentioned.

In this paper, we propose an efficient block based z-buffer. The block based z-buffer uses a block unit and a block depth buffer. It can greatly reduce the amount of data transfer between scan conversion and z-buffer. Test results show that the block based z-buffer can reduce the data traffic upto 87.5%.
