This study was investigated to make sure the range of Radix Asparagi treatment. the nature of disease. the pathology and the dosage of it in Dongeuybogam. The consequences were as follows: 1. The Radix Asparagi is used in 11 fields of treatment such as exhaustion, tussis and phlegm. blood diseases. etc 2. The Radix Asparagi is primarily used in the treatment of heart and lung disease, weak and infirm. and controlling hydrate and fever as well as tussis and phlegm. 3. The Radix Asparagi is used for nature of disease which of transmitting between sap and fever. cardiac disease caused by stress. floating fever. debility of blood, malfunction of heart and kidney. and deficiency of vitality. 4. The Radix Asparagi is used in a range of $2g{\sim}16g$ per dose with 4g being the typical dose for most treatments. 5. The Radix Asparagi is used as a fundamental prescription with several herb remedies for the pathology. The Radix Asparagi has been used to moisten the dryness and to keep the balance among fever of heart, lung, and kidney. According to the results. I suggest to use Radix Asparagi in a various pathogenic fields. The Radix Asparagi is able to use to improve not only fatigue. but also diabetes, cataract, and debility of blood.

This report describes the studies as follows through the research into the data of Rhizoma Atractylodis japonicae blended prescriptions from Bang Yahk Hap Peun. The main pathologies of Atractylodis Japonicae blended prescriptions found chills, bowels, malaria, and they are used 18 disease also. In these prescriptions, the symptoms of chills and bowels are the most frequently used. Atractylodis Japonicae main blended prescriptions use in the symptoms of Sang Han Pyo syndrome, Sang Han Yin syndrome, and they are 25 disease also. Through the research, Atractylodis Japonicae main blended prescriptions are used the pathologes of wet, internal disease, the injury of the cold and wind, stomach and spleen. The actual amount of Atractylodis Japonicae blended has a wide capacity from 6 pun to 6 don, 1-2 don is broadlly used. The structures of Atractylodis Japonicae blended prescriptions are Pyong We San, Yi Myo San, Hyang So San, Warl Gook Hwan, Gook Chul Hwan, such as basic prescriptions are most used.
작약감초탕(芍藥甘草湯) 및 구성약물(構成藥物)이 기관지평골근(氣管支平滑筋)에 미치는 영향(影響)

The purpose of the present study is to determine the effect of Jakyakgamchotang on histamine or acetylcholine induced tracheal smooth muscle contraction in rats and guinea pigs. Guinea pig(500g, male) and Sprague Dawley rats(250g, male) were killed by $CO_2$ exposure and a segment (4-5mm) of the thoracic trachea from each rat and guinea pig was cut into equal segments and mounted 'in pairs' in a tissue bath. Contractile force was measured with force displacement transducers under 0.5g loading tension. The dose of histamine(His) which evoked 50% of maximal response($ED_{50}$) was obtained from cumulative dose response curves for histamine($10^{-7}{\sim}10^{-4}M$). Contractions evoked by His($ED_{50}$) were inhibited significantly by Jakyakgamchotang. In guinea pig tracheal smooth muscle, the mean percent inhibition of histamine induced contraction was 90.8% (p〈0.001) after $100{\mu}l/ml$ Jakyakgamchotang. In rat tracheal smooth muscle, the mean percent inhibition of acetylcholine induced contraction was 22.1% (p〈0.05) after $100{\mu}l/ml$ Jakyakgamchotang. Propranolol indomethacin and methylene blue($10^{-7}M$) slightly but significantly attenuated the inhibitory effects of Jakyakgamchotang. These results indicate that Jakyakgamchotang can relax histamine or acetylcholine induced contraction of guinea pig and rat tracheal smooth muscle.

This report describes the studies as follows through the research into the data of Cimicifuga heraclefolia Komarov blended prescriptions from Donguibogam. Cimicifuga heracleifola Komarov blended prescriptions are utilized for 39 therapeutic ranges. such as in dentistry, onclology, and 16 therapeutic ranges occupy over 84% totally, from dentistry to nasal disease. Cimicifuga heracleifola Komarov blended prescriptions use in the symptpms resulting from dentistry, intestine, internal disease, and they are used 22 disease also. The main pathologies of Cimicifuga heracleifola Komarov blended prescriptions found weakness in the digestive system, heat of stomach, wind of stomach in the splanchnology, and pathologies of wind-heat, wind-moisture, cold, excluding they are using for energy-blood, weakness, internal disease. The actual amount of Cimicifuga heracleifola Komarov blended has a wide capacity from 2 pun to 5 don, 1 don is broadlly used by 26%. Through the research into the main factors that we know Cimicifuga heracleifola Komarov blended prescriptions are listed in Yangmyungkyung, as they are regularly used as disease treatment and increasing the level of the general energy of the body, relaxing a skin, increasing stamina, detoxication, eliminating tumor, widely.

Objective: To review the clinical basis of the Sa-Ahm 5 Element acupuncture originated about 360 years ago, papers and books were researched. Methods: Total of 58 books and papers ranging from ancient Huang Di nei jing to modern Bio Medical Acupuncture for Pain Management were investigated to study the clinical practice of it. Results: It could be practiced differently depending upon the viewpoints of diagnosis. They are ranging from theories of the greater-less of Yin and Yang, 7 emotions, organs- visceras, 8 diagnostic criteria, and pulse diagnosis to meridian circulation. Conclusions: It needs to be set clinical guidelines by which to practice Sa-Ahm acupuncture though it is nowadays mostly-used method in accordance with practitioner's viewpoints.
제주도 숨은물벵뒤 습지 서식 Betaproteobacteria의 종다양성 및 신분류군 분포

The species diversity of Betaproteobacteria in the Sumunmulbengdui Wetland Area of Jeju Island was studied using culture based techniques, and candidates for novel taxa were screened. Twenty two novel bacterial strains belonging to Betaproteobacteria were isolated, which could be assigned to 16 genera of 4 families, namely Burkholderiaceae (3 strains), Comamonadaceae (8 strains), Oxalobacteraceae (5 strains), Neisseriaceae (5 strains), and an unassigned group belonging to Burkholderiales (1 strain) based 16S rRNA gene sequences. The genus Chromobacterium contained three candidates of novel species, and each of the genera Burkholderia, Comamonas, Pelomonas and Herbaspirillum contained two candidates respectively. Through the analysis of membrane fatty acid profiles and physiological properties using API 20NE as well as morphological and cultural properties, each of the isolates was found to form potentially novel species. Brief description of 22 potential candidates for new species or subspecies is given accordingly.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the variation of pore size distribution of the coal-based extruded activated carbon. The extruded activated carbon was prepared by extruding the mixture of coal powder and coal tar. Pore size distribution of the extruded activated carbon was compared with that of the extruded coal and the extruded char. Also it was compared with that of the crushed activated carbon, raw coal and char. The extruded coal had coarser surface than that of raw coal. Macropores of the extruded coal were funned near 10,000Å in diameter during carbonization process and steam penetrated easily between particles and were growing between 3,000Å and 20,000Å in diameter during activation process.
