        『악학궤범』 소재 악기편성의 종류와 성격

        The kinds of instrumentation of court ritual and banquet musics at the time of Akhakgwebeom are as follows: deungga and heonga of abujeak; deungga and heonga of jongmyo and yeongnyeongjeon; jeonsangak and jeonjeongak of munsojeon, yeoneunjeon, and sogyeongjeon; the ensemble, composed of female entertainers (yeogi) and musicians (akgong), of jeongjeon banquets; gochwi of jeonjeonggochwi, jeonhugochwi, jeonbugochwi, and hubugochwi. Focusing on “Siyong,” this paper discusses the characteristics of instrumentation of Akhakgwebeom by examining various performance pieces and the instrumentation s form and use. To scrutinize the kinds of instrumentation, genres of music are divided as follows: the ritual music of abu; the ritual music of jongmyo and yeongnyeongjeon; the ritual music of munsojeon, yeoneunjeon, and sogyeongjeon; banquet music; and gochwiak. The purpose of this paper is to understand the musical culture of King Seongjong period. Moreover, the significance of this paper is that it reveals a part of the history of instrumentation. The instrumentation of Akhakgwebeom differs according to musical pieces, and Hyangdanggyoju is the most discussed piece. Each ensemble is consisted of various types of court performers such as aksa, aksaeng, akgong, and yeogi. In Akhakgwebeom, two kinds of performance posture are discussed: sitting and standing posture. However, today the tradition of performance posture is no longer carried on. Whereas Sejongsillok and Gukjooryeui describe the directional disposition of the ensembles, Akhakgwebeom has no descriptions about direction. However, because today s court music performance has become a staged one, the direction of disposition no longer has any meaning. Also, the instrumentation of Akhakgwebeom is divided into performances of ritual music, banquets, and marching music; instrumentation of these performances are further subdivided. Among the musical pieces performed by various ensembles, the pieces performed at deungga and heonga of abu ritual music are currently carried on as part of the repertories of the Confucius Shrine Ritual (munmyojerye). The pieces performed at deungga and heonga of jongmyo and yeongnyeongjeon are continued to be offered at the Royal Ancestral Shrine Ritual (jongmyojerye); the piece Junggwangjang is added to Botaepyeong, a set of pieces performed at jongmyojerye. The instrumentation of jeonsangak and jeonjeongak performed at the shrines such as munsojeon, yeoneunjeon, and sogyeongjeon are not transmitted, but among the musical pieces, Nagyangchun, Yuhwanggok, and Jeongdongbanggok are still performed today. Among the pieces of dangak or gochwiak performed by various ensembles such as the ensemble, composed of female entertainers (yeogi) and musicians (akgong), of jeongjeon banquets, jeonjeongheonga, jeonjeonggochwi, jeonhugochwi, jeonbugochwi, and hubugochwi, Gyeu, Yeokseong, Jeolhwasamdae, Geumjeollak, Seongsumugangman, Hwangungak are no longer performed, but Yeomillakman, Yeomillagyeong, Nagyangchun, and Boheoja (Ryeong) are still performed today. Whereas during the King Sejong period the court made an effort to improve court music that corresponds to the Chinese system, during the Akhakgwebeom period the court established its own system and criteria, which were maintained throughout the Joseon period despite changes in size and structure. The significance of Akhakgwebeom is that it discussed the instrumentation of that period systematically and synthetically. The study of the changes and transmission of instrumentation will be remained for future research.

        헐리우드 영화와 아시아계 신화 만들기

        Race is a mode of placing cultural meanings on the body in the language of biology and genealogy. This paper is a study on several stereotypes of Asian Americans in cultural formation of America, especially in Hollywood films, and their historical backgrounds. First, the image of the Asian as a pollutant originated in mid-nineteenth -century California. In the popular imagination, California was always encoded as a free-soil Eden, a place where people with small capital might have a second chance to build a white republic. However, in reality, California was chaotic in the process of industrialization. White proletariats, being frustrated by their economic reality, explained their failure as the result of Asian immigration. The Chinese were represented as very different both racially and culturally. They were "aliens" threatening American society. After the Cold War, American culture began to show drastically different attitudes towards Asians. First, Asian ladies began to be represented as a code of an idealistic woman. Starkly contrasted with the earlier images of Asian women as "dragon ladies," these new Asian female images emphasize their innocence and beauty. These "lotus blossom" images resulted from the American necessity to make a favorable relationship with Asia, which was a battle field of two ideologies_ capitalism and communism. "Model minority" is the extension of the Cold War ideology. In this mythology, Asian men are also acclaimed as "successful" minority. Asian Americans are promoted as a model of productivity, savings, and mobility. Emphasizing the ethnic assimilation of Asians and their political silence, this image could effectively hold out the political militancy of African Americans and Latinos. Since the 1970s, the model minority image has coexisted with and reinforced a representation of the Asian American as the gook. The rapid growth of the Asian American population and its apparent success were assumed as the main cause of the new crisis of American economy. Now Asian Americans are represented as the agents of foreign or multinational capital and their success is seen as camouflage for subversion of "sound" American capitalist ethics.

        「쇼유 키드」: 민족성과 섹슈얼리티의 기호학

        Ethnicity and sexuality are two most powerful signs for the white male-centered American nationalism to construct its logos and maintain the social hegemony. Thus they were very useful for the center while formidable as much for the other. Asian American literature has been in longtime efforts to demythify them as a fundamental sociocultural practice. Such efforts, however, resulted in an ironical reconfiguration of the white-dominated nationalism with some multiple ethnic centers in it. This paper starts with a doubt about cultural pluralism and assumes that Asian American texts did not go far enough to thoroughly demystify ethnicity and sexuality. To attain its small but safe territory in American nationalism they also employed the signs of ethnicity and sexuality. “Shoyu Kid” is a very unusual text in this aspect; it explores the constructiveness of these two signs until they ultimately expose their complete emptiness. Thus it turns out the most chilling story not just for the main stream but for the minority who persistently hung on the myth of ethnicity and sexuality to construct its own center.         Cobalt Chloride-Induced Down-Regulation of Puromycin-Sensitive Aminopeptidase Involved in Apoptosis of PC-3 Cells

        저산소상태(hypoxia)는 세포유형 및 성장조건에 따라 apoptosis를 유발하거나 또는 apoptosis의 진행을 억제한다. 저산소상태 유발물질인 cobalt chloride (CoCl₂) 역시 여러 세포 유형에서 apoptosis를 유발한다고 알려져 있으나 그 기작은 불명확하다. 본 연구에서는 PC-3 세포에서 CoCl₂에 의해 down-regulation되는 puromycin-sensitive aminopeptidase (PSA)의 세포 내 기능을 조사하였다. 본 연구 결과, PC-3 세포에 puromycin을 처리한 결과 전체 세포 집단의 약 42%에서 apoptosis가 유도되었다. PSA가 apoptosis에 관여하는지를 확인하고자 PSA siRNA로 내재성 PSA의 발현을 억제시킨 다음 apoptosis 연관 특성을 조사한 결과 PSA의 발현 억제에 의해 효과적으로 apoptosis가 유도되었다. 이러한 결과는 PC-3 세포에서 PSA가 세포생존에 중요한 역할을 할 것임을 보여주는 것이라 사료된다. Hypoxia is an indicative of pro-apoptotic and anti-apoptotic biphasic effects, which appear to be dependent upon the cell type and the condition of the cells. The hypoxia-mimetic agent, cobalt chloride (CoCl₂), has been shown to induce apoptosis in a variety of cell types, but the mechanism by which this occurs has yet to be thoroughly elucidated. Puromycin-sensitive aminopeptidase (PSA) gene was decreasingly expressed in response to CoCl₂. In this report, puromycin pretreatment applied to PC-3 cells resulted in apoptosis. To determine whether PSA is involved in apoptosis, we examined the apoptotic properties of the PC-3 cells after siRNA knockdown of PSA. PSA siRNA-induced PSA silencing revealed that endogenous PSA may be involved in apoptosis of the PC-3 cells. These results indicated that PSA may perform a vital function in cell survival of the PC-3 cells.

        포스트모더니즘과 여성 주 체성

        Subjectivity is one of the most important recent developments in the new humanities. Traditionally the human individual was thought of as whole, single, and fixed, but recent theories present it as split, multiple, and implicated in the complex processes of culture and politics. This study outlines the main recent theories of subjectivity, from structuralism onwards, especially in the perspective of gender. Structualists presents subjectivity as a construct of the relationship between power and knowledge rather than a naturally occurring entity. According to them subjectivity is the result of the symbolic order of a society which exists prior to the subject’s entry. Poststructuralism goes beyond the explanation of subjectivity as a product of signification. Heavily affected by Deconstruction, poststructualists emphasize the impossibility of any power claiming its fixed location in signification. This is why poststructual subjectivity is proposed as ambivalent and hybrid, which needs to be seriously considered when a gender subject is imagined in this new age. (Silla University)
