Exercise increases the generation of oxygen free radical an lipid peroxidation. Polyphenol and vitamin C, E are known to prevent lipid peroxidation during exercise. Among the known polyphenol, the polyphenol extracted from Green tea as used has the similar effect of antioxidant. Therefore we examined the effects of polyphenol or vitamin complex(vitamin C+E) on antioxidants enzymes activities in rat (N=40). All rats were exercise training on the treadmill for 6weeks (25 m/sec for 1hour). They were administered 5% of polyphenol and 50㎎ of vitamin C+E before the exercise, during whole period of the experiment. Administration group (PA: polyphenol administration, VA; vitamin complex administration, PVA; polyphenol & vitmin complex administration) and theother group was administered the same amount of water at the same time point (CON). Oneway ANOVA was performed as the statistical analysis. This study analyzed whether oxidative stress could be relieved by taking polypheonl, non-enzymatic antioxidant and vitamin C and E complex during long running exercise. Long-term polyphenol administration made SOD increase in liver and the activation of SOD is higher in red muscle than in white muscle in gastrocnemius. Furthemore it;s imporatant to verifty the mechanism of antioxidase by non-enzymatic antioxidant about oxidative injury in case of exercise at the maximun as well as check the effect of antioxidant by the activity of GPX or catalase.

Hydroxycitric acid (HCA) is not interfere fat oxidation during moderate intensity exercise and reduce fat accumulation in the body. Depleted glycogen by exhausted exercise caused fatigue that reduced exercise performance in the continuos day or match. lf considering the effect of HCA, even so, ingestion after exhaustive exercise. Therefore, 500 mg of HCA was intubated to the Sprague-Dawley male rats that have exercise trained for 3-week and exercise on the treadmill until exhaustive. Liver and muscle (soleus, gastrocnemius and quadriceps) glycogen and blood glucose, lactate, and FFA were analyzed. Glycogen contents were reduced after exhaustive exercise then increased 24-h of recovery periods without HCA effect. Blood profiles were not affected by HCA either. These result suggested that HCA effect was showed only during exercise in rats.
농촌지역 여성고령자의 현미덤벨체조가 체조성, 체력 및 식습관에 미치는 영향

The present study evaluated the possibility of dumbbell exercise as to improve the physical fitness and the health starus of old people in rural area. Although eighty seven volunteers of old women (over 64) living in Seonsan, Gumi city were subjected, twenty of them were attended the whole program for 6 months and the data from the twenty was analysed in this study. The results were drawn out from comparison of the body constitutuion, the physical strength, the medical aspectrs, and the questionaires of before and after this program. They showed increased physical fithess tested by grip strength (left), bar gripping reaction time, standing trunk flexibility, on foot standing test through dumbbell exercise for 6 months. Questionaire revealed the betterment of dietary pattem during this program. In the light of in these results, it is possible to conclude that dumbbell exercise had improved the basic physical condition and the health status through the increasement of physical fitness and dietary pattem change. Therefore, dumbbell exercise would be a useful program for the old people in reual area to improved their health status.

The purpose of this research is to investigate effects of different fluid ingestion on physiological metabolism, reaction time, and breath alcohol concentration after alcohol consumption For this study, seven male college students were divided into three groups as follows; alcohol consumption only (A(, water only (AW), and ion fluid consumption after the reaction time and recovery of breath alcohol concentration in AI(p<0.05). From this research, we could concluded that drinking ion fluid after alcohol consumption might draw positive effects on reaction time and recovery of the breath alcohol concentration. On the basis of these results, it is useful to diminish the concentration of alcohol quickly in the body and keep the body`s balance with ion fluid consumption that contains carbohydrate and electrolyte.
Co/metal/Si 이중층 구조의 실리사이드화 열처리에 따른 dopant의 재분포

SIMS를 사용하여 Co/metal 이중층 구조의 실리사이드화 열처리시 발생하는 기판내 도펀트의 재분포 거동에 대하여 조사하였다. Co실리사이드화 반응의 중간층으로는 Ti, Nb, 또는 Hf를 사용하였고, 여러 도펀트들 중 실리사이드 내에서의 확산속도가 특히 빠른 B에 대하여 조사하였다. Co/Ti과 co/Nb의 경우 열처리후 B피크의 높이는 1 order 정도 낮아지지만 표면으로부터의 주피크의 상대적인 위치는 열처리전과 동일하였다. B의 분포양상은 Ti 및 Nb의 그것과 일치하는데, 이것은 B와 Ti 및 Nb간의 친화력이 크기 때문이다. Co/Hf의 경우에도 B의 피크는 Hf과 거의 같았으나, Ti나 Nb에 비해서 약간 차이가 나는 것으로 보다 B-Hf간의 친화력은 다소 떨어지는 것으로 보인다. 전체적으로 열처리후 Co/metal 이중층 실리사이드에서의 B의 재분포는 Si계면에서 고갈되는 반면, Co-metal/Co 실리사이드 계면에서 pile-up되는 양상을 보였다. The redistribution behavior of boron during Co silicidation annealing in the Co/metal/Si system was investigated using SIMS. Ti, Nb and Hf films were used as epitaxy promoting metal layers. After annealing treatment the boron peak height was about 1 order lowered in Co/Ti/Si and Co/Nb/Si systems but the relative peak position from the surface did not change. The distribution of boron was very similar to those of Ti and Nb, because of the strong affinities of boron with them. Also, the position of the main boron peak in the Co/Hf/Si system was almost the same as that of Hf, but the distribution feature of the Co/Hf/Si system somewhat differed from those of Co/Ti/Si and Co/Nb/Si systems. This implies that the affinity between B and Hf is weaker than those of B-Ti and B-Nb. Boron tends to be depleted at the silicidelsi interface while it tends to be piled-up at the Co-metal/Co silicide interface during silicidation annealing.
Co/Nb 이중층 구조의 막역전을 이용한 박막 $CoSi_2$의 형성

Co/Nb 이중층 구조의 RTA처리에 따른 층역전 현상을 이용하여 ${CoSi}_{2}$를 형성하였다. 중간에 삽입된 Nb층은 산화성향이 매우 커서 Si와 Co의 균일한 반응을 방해하는 Si 기판 표면의 산화막을 충분히 제거해 줄 수 있을 뿐만아니라 Co 의 실리사이드화 반응시에 Co와 결합하여 안정한 화합물을 형성해서 기판 Si의 과잉 소모를 막아 줌으로써 실리사이드화 반응을 제어하는 역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다. Co/Nb이중층 구조를 $800^{\circ}C$에서 열처리하여 얻은 최종 구조는 ${NB}_{2}{O}_{5}$/${Co}_{2}$Si.CoSi/${NbCo}_{x}$/Nb(O,C)/${CoSi}_{2}$/Si으로 이층들간의 역전과 안정한 ${CoSi}_{2}$상의 형성은 비교적 고온인 약 $700^{\circ}C$부터 시작되었으며, 전 열처리 온도구간에서 Nb의 실리사이드가 발견되지 않았는데, 이러한 점들은 모두 Nb 산화물이나 Co-Nb합금층과 같은 매우 안정한 중간 구조상들이 Co와 Si의 원활한 이동을 제한하기 때문으로 보인다. Thin $700^{\circ}C$films were formed through layer inversion of Co/Nb bilayer during rapid thermal annealing(RTA). The Nb interlayer seems to effectively prevent over-consumption of Si and to control the silicidation reaction by forming Co-Nb intermetallic compounds and removing the native oxide formed on Si substrate which interferes the uniform Co-Si interaction. The final layer structure of the Co/Nb bilayer after $700^{\circ}C$ RTA was found to be ${Nb}_{2}{O}_{3}$/${Co}_{2}$Si.CoSi/${NbCo}_{x}$/Nb(O, C)/${CoSi}_{2}$/ Si. The layer inversion and the formation of a stable CoSi, phase occurred above $700^{\circ}C$, and the Nb silicides were not found at any annealing temperature. These may be due to the formation of very stable Co-Nb intermetallic compounds and Nb oxides which limit the moving of Co and Si.

RBS와 XRD를 이용하여 C o-Nb이중층 실리사이드와 구리 배선층간의 열적안정성에 관하여 조사하였다. Cu$_{3}$Si등의 구리 실리사이드는 열처리시 40$0^{\circ}C$정도에서 처음 형성되기 시작하였는데, 이 때 형성되는 구리 실리사이드는 기판의 상부에 존재하던 준안정한 CoSi의 분해시에 발생한 Si원자와의 반응에 의한 것이다. 한편, $600^{\circ}C$에서의 열처리 후에는 CoSi$_{2}$층을 확산.통과한 Cu원자와 기판 Si와의 반응에 의하여 CoSi$_{2}$/Si계면에도 구리 실리사이드가 성장하였는데, 이렇게 구리 실리사이드가 CoSi$_{2}$/Si 계면에 형성되는 것은 Cu원자의 확산속도가 여러 중간층에서 Si 원자의 확산속도 보다 더 빠르기 때문이다. 열처리 결과 최종적으로 얻어진 층구조는 CuNbO$_{3}$/Cu$_{3}$Si/Co-Nb합금층/Nb$_{2}$O$_{5}$CoSi$_{2}$/Cu$_{3}$Si/Si이었다. 여기서 상부에 형성된 CuNbO$_{3}$는 Cu원자가 Nb$_{2}$O$_{5}$및 Co-Nb합금층과 반응하여 기지조직의 입계에 석출되어 형성된 것이다.

배선 재료나 salicide 트랜지스터에 적용될 것으로 기대되는 Cu 배선과 Co 단일층 및 Co/Ti 이중층을 사용하여 형성된 코발트 실리사이드간의 열적 안정성에 대하여 조사하였다. 40$0^{\circ}C$열처리후 Cu3Si 막이 CoSi2층과 Si 기판 사이에 형성되었는데, 이것은 Cu 원자의 확산에 기인한 것이다. $600^{\circ}C$에서의 열처리 후에 형성된 최종막의 구조는 각각 Cu/CoSi2/Cu3Si/Si과 TiO2/Co-Ti-Si 합금/CoSi2/Cu3Si/Si였으며, 상부에 형성된 TiO2층은 산소 오염에 의한 것으로 밝혀졌다.

Co 단일층과 Co/Ti 이중층으로부터 형성된 코발트 실리사이드를 최종 막의 구조와 에피텍셜 성장 측면에서 조사하였다. Co 단일층은 그 두께와는 관계없이 전체 막이 CoSi2로 변화된 반면에, Co/Ti 이중층 구조에서는 Co와 Ti 막의 두께비가 최종막 구조에 상당한 영향을 주었다. 그리고 CoSi2막의 에피 성장이 Co 단일층에서 보다는 Co/Ti 이중층에서 보다 용이하였다.
고탄수화물 섭취가 암,수 흰쥐의 글리코겐 함량과 운동능력에 미치는 영향

The purpose of this study was the effects of high carbohydrate diet on glycogen contents and exercise performance in male and female rats. Sprague-Dawley rats (male 24, female 24) were used in the present study. Among them 6 rats of each group were isolated during experimental periods. The others were exercised on the treadmill (8% incline) at 30 m/min, 30 min/day, and 5 days/week for 4 weeks. They were fed high carbohydrate diet (CHO: 70%, Protein: 20%, and Fat: 10%) using pair-feeding method during exercise periods. Blood glucose concentration was decreased during exercise in both groups and, male rats tended to higher than female rats. Blood lactate concentration was increased during exercise in both groups and, male rats showed significantly higher than female rats at post exercise. Free fatty acid concentration, however, was significantly higher in female rats even though they have fed same carbohydrate diet during exercise periods. Muscle and liver glycogen concentration was not significantly different in both groups during exercise. These results suggested that although lipid utilization was increased in female rats, glycogen utilization was similar in both groups. So, the effects of high carbohydrate diet on glycogen contents and exercise performance in different gender rats results were investigated for the near future.
