It is recently well researched that sports nutrition and food for endurance performance in athletes and untrained people. The exercise intensity and duration for exercise test is consequence. In athletes, the exercise intensity is recommended 60% VO₂max when fat oxidation during exercise is an important parameter. However, the exercise intensity is 1ow for exhaustion in athletes, 80% VO₂max is recommended after 1 hour exercise at 60% Vo₂max. In the other hand, the exercise intensity is adequate at 40% Vo₂max in untrained people, because exercise for 1 hour at 60% V0₂max in untrained people is too severe. However, The evaluation method for endurance performance would be more detail studied when consumers`s need will be increased.

The biological age as a scale for evaluating the degree of the aging has been proposed and the equations has been estimated until now. The explanation variables used to the estimate of the biological age reflect the phenomenon of aging, but there is a limitation of the physiological test at rest. The health age reflected the progress of aging and level of health using variable explained the result of the physiological test both at rest and during exercise, and physical fitness test was proposed on this study. The explanation variables were consisted of abdominal girth, % body fat, FVC, side-step test, vertical jump, SBP, VO2LT, and HDLC/TC. The equation of the health age is followed : Health Age = 0.174X_(1)-0.389X_(2)-0.005X_(3)-0.339X_(4)-0.279X_(5)+0.095X_(6)+0.072X_(7)-14.029X_(8)+63.166 (X_(1)=Abdominal Girth, X_(2)=%body fat, X_(3)=FVC, X_(4)=Side step, X_(5)=Vertical jump, X_(6)=SBP, X_(7)=VO_(2LT), X_(8)=HDLC/TC). Thus, the health age on this study can be used to evaluate the change of the health and physical fitness level according to the increase of age.
일반 남자 대학생에 있어서 가르시니아 추출물 섭취가 중강도 운동중 지방산화 능력에 미치는 영향

(-)-Hydroxycitrate (HCA ). an active ingredient extracted from the rind of Garcinia Cambogia, is widely used for herbal supplement or anti-obesity treatment. In this study, we examined the effects of short-term HCA ingestion on fat oxidation during exercise in untrained male. In two experiments. double blind and crossover method, 6 untrained males ingested 500 mg of soluble HCA or placebo for 5 days. On the 5th day of the ingestion. they performed endurance exercise test cycling ergometer at 40% VO_(2max) for 1 h and then continued the exercise at 60% VO_(2max) until exhausted. In HCA ingestion group, blood FFA concentration, were significantly increased and respiratory exchange ratio (RER) significantly decreased. AIso, fat oxidation during exercise period was enhanced, while carbohydrate oxidation decreased during the same periods. These results suggested that short-term HCA ingestion increase fat oxidation during exercise, which spares glycogen utilization during the constant intensity exercise in untrained men.

The purpose of this research is to investigate effects of different fluid ingestion on physiological metabolism, reaction time, and breath alcohol concentration after alcohol consumption For this study, seven male college students were divided into three groups as follows; alcohol consumption only (A(, water only (AW), and ion fluid consumption after the reaction time and recovery of breath alcohol concentration in AI(p<0.05). From this research, we could concluded that drinking ion fluid after alcohol consumption might draw positive effects on reaction time and recovery of the breath alcohol concentration. On the basis of these results, it is useful to diminish the concentration of alcohol quickly in the body and keep the body`s balance with ion fluid consumption that contains carbohydrate and electrolyte.
탈진운동 후 (-)-Hydroxycitrate 섭취가 저장글리코겐회복능에 미치는 영향

Hydroxycitric acid (HCA) is not interfere fat oxidation during moderate intensity exercise and reduce fat accumulation in the body. Depleted glycogen by exhausted exercise caused fatigue that reduced exercise performance in the continuos day or match. lf considering the effect of HCA, even so, ingestion after exhaustive exercise. Therefore, 500 mg of HCA was intubated to the Sprague-Dawley male rats that have exercise trained for 3-week and exercise on the treadmill until exhaustive. Liver and muscle (soleus, gastrocnemius and quadriceps) glycogen and blood glucose, lactate, and FFA were analyzed. Glycogen contents were reduced after exhaustive exercise then increased 24-h of recovery periods without HCA effect. Blood profiles were not affected by HCA either. These result suggested that HCA effect was showed only during exercise in rats.
고지방식이 흰쥐에서 Hydroxy Citric Acid 섭취와 수영운동이 비만과 지방대사에 미치는 영향

To evaluate the effects of hydroxy citric acid supplementation and swimming on body fat and lipid metabolism, we treated hydroxycitric acid supplementation (HF+HCA), exercise (HF+EX), or exercise plus hydroxy citric acid supplementation (HF+EX+HCA) in 8 weeks high-fat (HF) fed Sprague-Dawley male rats. The body weight and body fat mass were significantly decreased in both HF+HCA and HF+EX compared with HF rats despite that the food intake was not differed among the experimental groups. The decreasing effect of body weight by HCA was revealed after the day 32, which means that HCA has to be treated for relatively long time for weight reduction. Moreover, both HCA supplementation and EX reduced the plasma levels of glucose, triglycerides, and total cholesterol in HF fed rats. However, the carnitine palmitoyl transferase (CPT) 1 activity, a rate limiting enzyme in fat oxidation, was increased only in HF+EX rats. In summary, both hydroxy citric acid supplementation and exercise revealed anti-obesiry effects and their effects were additive. These results suggested that combination of bydroxy citric acid supplementation and exercise can be used as a modality of obesity treatment.
