The British railway safety research group has developed a risk assessment model for the railway infrastructure and major railway accidents. The major hazardous factors of the railway infrastructure were identified and classified in the model. The frequency rates of critical top events were predicted by the fault tree analysis method using failure data of the railway system components and ratings of railway maintenance experts, The consequences of critical top events were predicted by the event tree analysis method. They classified the Joss of accident due to railway system into personal. commercial and environmental damages. They also classified 110 hazardous event due to railway system into three categories. train accident. movement accident and non-movement accident. The risk assessment model of the British railway system has been designed to take full account of both the high frequency low consequence type events (events occurring routinely for which there is significant quantity of recorded data) and the low frequency high consequence events (events occurring rarely for which there is little recorded data). The results for each hazardous event were presented in terms of the frequency of occurrence (number of events/year) and the risk (number of equivalent fatalities per year).
고해상도 항공라이다 DEM 해석을 통한 강원도 일원의 산사태 예측 가능성 분석

본 연구에서는 항공라이다 측량을 통해 생성된 고해상도 DEM을 산사태 발생 가능성 예측을 위한 객관적인 판단근거로 활용하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 산사태가 발생하지 않은 1개의 사면과 3개의 산사태 발생지역에 대하여 항공레이저 측량데이터에서 얻어진 2m 간격의 DEM을 이용하여 지형해석을 수행하였다. 해석요소에는 경사면 구배와 고유치 비(eigenvalue ratio)를 이용하였으며, 발생한 산사태의 피해현황 파악을 위해 한국도로공사에서 수행한 현장조사 자료를 활용하였다. 고해상도 DEM을 이용한 산사태 발생 가능성 분석 결과, 산사태 발생이 가능한 지형의 특징적인 해석값의 밀도분포가 명확해졌으며, 이러한 밀도분포를 통해 산사태의 발생 예측 및 현재 위험도의 표현이 가능함을 알 수 있었다. This study investigates the use of geomorphic analysis results obtained from high-resolution LiDAR-derived DEM. The results of analysis, slope angle and eigenvalue ratio (ER) were derived from the DEM for 3 landslide and 1 non-landslide occurrence area. Results of this study highlighted the importance of geomorphic analysis in characterizing landslide feature as well as the various contents in their future occurrence and activity. The relationship between the results of geomorphic analysis and landslides are well expressed in this paper.

Objective: The aim of this study is to investigate the effective managerial factors influencing dose reduction of the nozzle dam installation and removal tasks ranking within top 3 in viewpoint of average collective dose of nuclear power plant maintenance job. Background: International Commission on Radiation Protection (ICRP) recommended to reduce unnecessary dose and to minimize the necessary dose on the participants of maintenance job in radiation fields. Method: Seven sessions of nozzle dam installation and removal task logs yielded a multiple regression model with collective dose as a dependent variable and work time, number of participants, space doses before and after shield as independent variables. From the sessions in which a significant reduction in collective dose occurred, the effective managerial factors were elicited. Results: Work time was the most important factor contributing to collective dose reduction of nozzle dam installation and removal task. Introduction of new technology in nozzle dam design or maintenance job is the most important factor for work time reduction. Conclusion: With extended task logs and big data processing technique, the more accurate prediction model illustrating the relationship between collective dose reduction and effective managerial factors would be developed. Application: The effective managerial factors will be useful to reduce collective dose of decommissioning tasks as well as regular preventive maintenance tasks for a nuclear power plant.
교육중심의 산학협동 모델 : LG전자와 한동대학교 사례를 중심으로

본 논문에서는 한동대학교 전산전자공학부와 LG전자의 산학협동 사례를 통해 기존의 연구중심의 산학협동 모델에서 탈피한 교육중심의 새로운 모델을 제시한다. 이 교육중심 산학협동 모델에서는 전통적인 관심이었던 연구 프로젝트의 성공이나 새로운 공학기술의 개발 대신에 현장에서 경쟁력 있는 교육을 제공함으로써 우수한 인력을 기업에 공급하는 것을 기본적인 목표로 하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이 모델을 통해 기업과 학교 그리고 수요자인 학생 등 모두에게 긍정적인 효과를 기대할 수 있다는 점을 밝혔으며, 이 모델에서의 핵심 프로그램인 수요자 중심의 공동교과과정에 대해서 개발과정 및 운영내용을 살펴보고 현재 상황에서의 평가 결과를 제시한다. We present a new collaboration model between industry and university through the case study of LG Electronics and Handong Global University. The aim of this education-oriented model is providing highly competitive engineers to the fields instead of accomplishing research projects or developing a new high-end technology. The proposed cooperation model is a win-win strategy for both academia and industry to have not only short-term but also long term benefits. We discuss how to develope and manage the demand-driven course which is the core program of our model. And we also evaluate the pros and cons of this collaboration model.
