Purpose: To compare the clinical 3 months postoperative results of three different 1-piece aspheric intraocular lenses (IOLs): AcrySof IQ SN60WF (Alcon Laboratories, INC, Fort Worth, TX), TECNIS 1-piece ZCB00 (AMO Inc., Santa Ana, CA) and the newly developed enVista MX60 (Bausch & Lomb, Rochester, NY). Methods: In a total of 62 eyes, 1 of the 3 1-piece aspheric IOLs, AcrySof IQ SN60WF, TECNIS 1-piece ZCB00 or enVista MX60 was implanted after cataract extraction. Best corrected visual acuity (BCVA), uncorrected visual acuity (UCVA), and spherical equivalent were assessed 3 months postoperatively. Total spherical aberration, high order aberration, and modulation transfer function were analyzed. Results: There were no significant differences of UCVA, BCVA, the accuracy of postoperative refractive power, and modulation transfer function among the 3 IOLs. Higher order aberrations of the entire eye and internal optics showed almost no significant differences. Conclusions: The newly developed IOL, enVista MX60, showed equivalent clinical outcomes as both AcrySof IQ SN60WF and TECNIS 1-piece ZCB00.
UL 268 목재 화원을 이용한 실화재실험 및화재시뮬레이션 비교 연구

화재감지기의 오작동으로 인한 피해를 줄이기 위해 국내의 감지기 관련 기준과 문헌을 조사하였다. 국내의 기준은 UL의 기술기준을 인용하였으나 화재실험장의 규격 및 가연물의 종류에 관한 설명만 제시되어 있으며, 실험과 관련된 시설 구축 및 실화재 실험이 진행되지 않아 이와 관련된 연구가 필요한 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 감지기의 성능향상을 위해 국내의 기준과 유사하면서 실험조건 및 방법에 대해 상세하게 기재되어 있는 UL 268을 참고하였으며,UL 268에 명시되어 있는 화원 중 목재를 가연물로 이용하여 실화재 실험을 진행하였다. 실험은 광학농도계를 이용하여 감광율을 측정하였고, UL 268에서 제공하는 목재화원 연기프로파일 기준과 일치하도록 반복 실험을 진행하였다. 또한, 실화재 실험과 FDS를 이용한 화재시뮬레이션에서의 연기감지기가 감지하는 연기농도를 비교하여 경향성이 있음을 확인하였다. 이를 통해 본 연구는 UL 268을 이용한 감지기 성능시험에 대한 기본 자료로 활용될 수 있을것으로 판단된다. To reduce the damage caused by fire detector malfunctions, we investigated the standards and literature pertaining to firedetectors in Korea. The domestic standards cite UL s technical specifications, which provide only the standards and types ofcombustible materials; however, additional research is needed because no facilities related to the experiments are investigatedand no fire experiments have actually been conducted. In this study, we refer to UL 268, which is similar to the domesticstandards, as well as detailed experimental conditions and methods to improve smoke detector performances; we also usewood as the combustion material from among the fire sources specified in UL 268. Experiments were conducted to measurethe sensitization rates using an optical density meter and repeated to match the wood smoke profile standard provided in UL268. Furthermore, we compared the smoke concentrations detected by the smoke detectors in the fire experiments with thosefrom fire simulations using FDS software to confirm the detector characteristics. Through these comparisons, we show thatthis research could be used as preliminary data for performance testing of detectors using UL 268.

의료용으로 사용되고 있는 고분자는 체내에 적용했을 경우 초기의 염증반응이 종종 문제점으로 대두되며, 이는 면역세포의 활성산소의 배출과 관련되어 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 부작용을 해결하기 위해 항산화제를 필름표면에 코팅하여 활성산소 발생 저해에 의한 항염증 효과를 평가하고자 하였다. Macrophage에 의한 염증 효과를 평가한 결과, 항산화제가 코팅된 polylactic acid 필름에서 pro-inflammatory cytokine의 생성이 저해됨을 확인하였다. 또한 항산화제 코팅 시 코팅제로 사용되는 고분자의 종류 및 분자량에 따른 방출 거동을 관찰한 결과, 고분자의 종류 및 분자량에 따라 항산화제의 방출 제어가 가능하였다. 이는 항염증 반응에 효과적으로 대응할 수 있는 항산화제 코팅 polylactic acid 필름을 제조함으로써 다양하고 광범위한 체내용도 전개가 가능할 것으로 생각된다. Polylactic acid (PLA) films have been widely used in medical devices for surgical treatments. However, their use has been associated with complications, such as inflammation around the PLA film implant area. Several antioxidant agents have been incorporated on the surface of PLA films to suppress initial excessive inflammatory reactions through the quenching of reactive oxygen species (ROS) released from macrophages. The suppression of inflammation was evaluated by measuring the levels of various pro-inflammatory cytokines produced by the macrophages. In addition, by measuring quercetin release behavior, we determined the optimum type and molecular weight of the film coating polymer for the effective suppression of inflammation. These results suggest that the incorporation and controlled release of quercetin could be a promising method to reduce inflammation induced by PLA films.
드라마 <오징어게임> 속 비속어 번역 양상과 격식성 변화

Korean cultural contents, collectively referred to as “K-Contents” in Korea, have been drawing growing interest since a Korean drama titled “Squid Game” gained immense popularity across the world after its release by the OTT (over-the-top) media service provider Netflix in September 2021. Subsequently, the violent and sexually suggestive content of “Squid Game” became a subject of controversy. While the degree of acceptance toward its violent and sexually suggestive content differed from country to country, the level of verbal violence and sexual suggestiveness expressed in the characters’ lines also differed by language, which is an important factor to consider in the context of translation. This research paper compares the Korean script of “Squid Game” with its Japanese subtitles with a focus on the use of swearwords, as well as English subtitles to further identify significant differences, and analyzes how formality changes in line with the level of profanity. The outcomes of the comparative analysis indicate that both the Japanese and English translations showed a higher degree of formality than the original Korean script. However, the analysis of the actual translation of swearwords in each language revealed that differences in translation stemmed from the patterns of how such swearwords are used in practice in the culture associated with each language. The purpose of this study was to examine the research trends in the field of architecture, record management, and humanities, respectively, and derive implications for the subject of architectural archives. With reference to this, the classification criteria will be set to analyze cases of organizations related to cultural heritage that have records related to architectural and cultural heritage currently operated in Korea. The purpose is to explore the future direction of architectural and cultural heritage archive research, focusing on domestic trends that can be seen through case analysis.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to determine the effects of exercise of expanding rib cage which applied Taekwondo on pulmonary function. Subjects: Twenty female college students at the age of 19~23 without any functional disability of nervous system, muscular system and cardiopulmonary system were participated. Methods: Pulmonary functions were assessed through the use of a pulmonary function measurement device(Pony FX, COSMED Inc, Italy). The Taekwondo group preformed the seven kinds of movements of expanding rib cage which applied Taekwondo. Every movement was repeated three times and each movement was proceeded for 15 seconds. The control group didn’t perform any other exercise. Afterwards, pulmonary functions were assessed again by the same measuring instruments. The Mann-Whitney test and Wilcoxon sign rank test were used to compare pulmonary functions between Taekwondo group and control group. The statistical program was the SPSSWIN (ver 21.0) package program. Results After the exercise of expanding rib cage, fIC of FVC factors and ERV, Rf and Vt, of SVC factors improved significantly. In comparing the difference of changes of pulmonary functions between Taekwondo group and control group, FVC, FEV1 and fIC, of FVC factors in Taekwondo group increased significantly more than control group. Conclusion: This study revealed that the exercise of expanding rib cage which applied Taekwondo can improve the pulmonary functions.
