This study was performed to develope culture medium from the extract of Anadara granosa which favored the growth of Shigella flexneri and Salmonella typhi for the detection of the carriers of Shigella and Salmonella. The new medium was tested for the growth of the bacteria and the ability to form bacterial colonies, and compared with other various media. The following results were obtained 1. The Anadara agar medium were better than Brain Heart Infusion, MacConkey Nutrient and Salmonella-Shigella agar for the isolation of Shigella flexneri and Salmonella typhi. 2. The Anadara agar was the best media to recover Shigella flexneri even with diluted inoculation but the Salmonella-Shigella agar was the worst. 3. The Anadara and the Nutrient agar were the best media to recover Salmonella typhi even with diluted inoculation but the MacConkey agar was worst.

In 1946 Potter described a series of 20 cases of infants who had bilateral absence of the kidneys, hypoplasia of the lung and characteristic facial appearance. The main facial features are increased space between the eyes, a prominent fold which arises at inner canthus and sweeps downward and laterally below the eyes, a prominent fold which arises at inner canthus and sweeps downward and laterally below the eyes, unusual flattening of the nose, excessive recession of the chin, moderate enlargement and decreased chondrification of the ear, and suggestion of premature senility. We experienced a female neonate of Potter syndrome confirmed by autopsy which revealed bilateral renal agenesis, bilateral pneumothorax, characteristic facial appearance and dysgenesis of the left limb. 치매노인의 지역사회 계속 거주 지원을 위한 개별화 인지기반 중재: ICF 틀을 기반으로 한 사례연구

In this study, based on the ICF framework, the effect of cognitive-based interventions on the support of the elderly with dementia was evaluated. Individualized cognitive-based interventions were provided to three elderlies with relapsed dementia, for a total of 20 sessions twice a week at a local senior center and at home. Individualized cognitive-based interventions include general cognitive stimulation activities conducted in groups or individually, cognitive training using workbooks or computerized tools to maintain and enhance specific cognitive functions, tasks of subjects' cognitive rehabilitation, and life story book- making activities to modify the environment and train daily life activities by analyzing the needs and priorities of the people. Task performance and satisfaction with goal activities related to daily life and basic daily life performance improved in all three patients. There were positive changes in instrumental daily living activities, cognitive function, subjective memory complaints, depression, severity of BPSD, and general health in two out of three patients. To support aging in elderly with dementia, interventions targeting environmental factors that affect participation in daily activities and improve cognitive function should be implemented. 목적: 본 연구에서는 ICF 틀에 기반하여 치매노인의 지역사회 계속 거주지원을 위한 인지기반 중재의 효과를 확인하고자 실시되었다. 방법: 재가치매노인 3명을 대상으로 지역 경로당과 가정에서 주 2회 총 20회기의 개별화 인지기반 중재를 제공하였다. 개별화된 인지기반 중재는 집단 또는 개별로 진행되는전반적인 인지자극(cognitive stimulation)활동과 특정 인지기능을 유지 증진시키는 목적으로 인지워크북 또는 전산화인지도구를 이용한 인지훈련(cognitive training), 그리고 대상자의 작업적 요구와 우선순위를 분석하여 환경을 수정하고 일상생활을 훈련하는 인지재활(cognitive rehabilitation) 과 인생이야기책 만들기 활동을 실시하였다. 결과: 일상생활과 관련된 목표활동에 대한 작업수행과만족도, 기본적 일상생활 수행은 세 사례 모두에서 증진이있었으며 도구적 일상생활활동과 전반적 인지기능, 주관적기억감퇴, 우울, 정신행동증상의 심각도, 그리고 전반적 건강상태는 세 명 중 두 명의 사례에서 긍정적인 변화가 있었다. 결론: 치매노인의 지역사회 계속 거주를 지원하기 위해서는 인지기능에 대한 접근 뿐 아니라 활동과 참여에 영향을 미치는 건강관리와 환경요인에 대한 중재가 함께 제시되어야한다.
