Residual stress and fatigue crack propagation behavior of the Grade A mild steel cut by plasma cutting technique for the ship structural material are evaluated by experiments and finite element analysis (FEA). After applied the loads of 0%, 50%, 80% yield strength on each plasma cutting specimen, residual stresses were gauged through the strain changes. Then, these experimental results are compared with the FEA results. Fatigue crack propagation behavior was estimated through the fatigue test performed under R=-1 and 5Hz sine wave repeated load. The constants of paris equation are found from crack growth ratio and changes of stress intensity factor.
다구치 기법을 사용한 나노클레이가 첨가된 아마섬유 강화 복합재료의 충격 거동 및 연소 특성

본 연구에서는 단방향, 직교방향, 임의의 방향 총 세 방향성을 가진 아마섬유에 첨가형 난연제로 널리 쓰이는 나노클레이를 분사한 뒤, 이 섬유를 복합재료의 제조에 사용하였다. 나노클레이는 분산성이 다른 세가지 분사방법을 사용하였으며, 제조에 사용한 기지재는 열가소성 수지인 폴리프로필렌과 열경화성 수지인 에폭시이다. 다구찌 실험계획법을 이용해서 실험을 단순화 하였으며, 실험결과 인장강도, 탄성계수, 총 충격흡수에너지, 열 방출율에 대한 최적의 복합재료 제조 조건을 얻을 수 있었다. This paper deals with the study of mechanical properties and impact energy absorbed by composites, made by using thermoplastic and thermoset as matrix, flax fiber and nanoclay as reinforcements. The nanoclay was sprayed on the fiber laminate directly after mixing with ethanol. This experiment designed by Taguchi method and have variable factors, i.e three types of fiber direction(F), three different nanoclay wt%(N) and three spray gun hole shapes(S). According to these conditions, composites were made and the optimum conditions were found to be F1N3S1, F1N2S1, F1N2S1 and F3N2S1 for thermoplastic, and F1N3S2, F1N3S2, F1N2S2 and F3N2S1 for thermoset which were matched with tensile strength, modulus, total impact absorbed energy and heat release rate respectively.

Stability and safety of Ball screw for electricity injection machine were analyzed by finite element method (FEM). In order to find the characteristics of vibration effect, harmonic response analysis was performed. Moreover, fatigue analysis was performed in this present study. CATIA V5 R15 was used to model the three-dimension (3-D) modeling. Ansys workbench 11 modules were used for analysis mentioned.
A Study on the Deintercalation Reaction of Li-Graphite Intercalation Compounds

Li-graphite intercalation compounds (GICs), synthesized at elevated temperature and pressure, were allowed to decompose spontaneously in the atmosphere. The decomposition processes were analyzed by of X-ray diffraction, DSC analysis, FT-IR measurements, UV/VIS spectrophotometry. The deintercalation reaction of the Li-GICs ceased after 6 weeks and only the residual compounds could be observed. A strong exothermic reaction was observed at 300 $^{\circ}C$ in thermal decomposition, and relatively stable decomposition curves were formed. A few endothermic curves have been observed at 1000 $^{\circ}C.$ After 6 weeks deintercalation reaction time of GICs, many exothermic and endothermic reactions were accompanied at the same time. In addition the reactions of the functional groups such as aromatic rings, nitrogen, $-CH_3$, $-CH_2$ etc. of GDIC obtained by the above reaction were confirmed by FT-IR spectrum. UV/VIS spectrophotometric measurement clearly shows the formation of a minimum energy value ($R_{min}$) for the compounds between Li-GICs as a starting material and Li-GDICs obtained until after 3 weeks of the deintercalation reaction, while they were no clear energy curves from 4 weeks of reaction time, because of the formation of the graphite structure, of high stages and of the Li compounds surrounding the graphite in the deintercalation reaction.
Highly Active Catalyst of Nickel Sulfate Supported on Titania for Ethylene Dimerization

A series of catalysts, NiSO4/TiO2, for ethylene dimerization was prepared by the impregnation method using aqueous solution of nickel sulfate. On the basis of the results obtained from X-ray diffraction, the addition of NiSO4 shifted the transition of TiO2 from the anatase to the rutile phase toward higher temperatures due to the interaction between NiSO4 and TiO2. Nickel sulfate supported on titania was found to be very active even at room temperature. The high catalytic activity of NiSO4/TiO2 closely correlated with the increase of acidity and acid strength due to the addition of NiSO4. It is suggested that the active sites responsible for ethylene dimerization consist of low valent nickel, Ni+, with an acid.

The purpose of this study was to develop a functional senior mixed soymilk for seniors and to provide functional senior-mixed soymilk to prevent disease outbreaks. The isoflavone content of senior soymilk was 0.15±0.01 mg/g. The β-glucan content of senior soymilk was 9.82±0.01 mg/g. The weight gain of mice were significantly higher in the high-fat diet group than in the other groups. The serum triglyceride content was high at 102.67±40.61 mg/dL in the high-fat diet group, but significantly lower at 83.00±42.43 mg/dL in the 20% senior soymilk group. Thus, the results of this study comprehensively suggest that food intake should be ingested for each life cycle with reference to the dietary reference intakes for Koreans. In particular, the elderly in their 50s and older are deficient in protein and weakened immune capacity, so it is imperative that they maintain their health through various foods such as soymilk, which is evenly nutritious.

A variable swash plate compressor is used for a vehicle to improve its fuel efficiency. The swash plate of compressor was produced by SCM 435 and UNS C67300, respectively. In this study, static analysis was performed on swash plate A/C compressor in accordance with the swash plate by using commercial software ANSYS 13.0v to determine the effects of different materials for the structural reliability. The results showed that stress occurred on the swash plate produced by UNS C67300 was lower than that produced by SCM 435. It indicated that UNS C67300 is more suitable for producing a safe swash plate.

본 연구는 동일한 코어재를 가지는 알루미늄과 유리섬유의 하니컴 샌드위치 판넬의 저속 충격시 발생하는 충격 거동 및 압축 실험을 통하여 압축 강도와 압축 계수를 살펴본다. 저속 충격을 받는 하니컴의 충격 거동을 살펴보기 위하여 중량 낙하식 충격 시험을 실시하며, 충격을 가한 후 데이터 분석 및 현미경을 통하여 전형적인 충격파손모드와 손상정도를 비교 평가하였다. 동일한 충격에너지일 때 유리섬유 하니컴 샌드위치 판넬이 알루미늄 하니컴 샌드위치 판넬보다 최대 하중이 높고, 탄성 에너지가 크며, 충격 강도가 높은 것을 확인할 수 있었다. In this study, impact behavior of aluminium and glass-fiber structure is studied under low impact velocity. Compression test is carried out to investigate the compressive strength of the specimens. The degree of damage is observed using microscopy and compared with the experimental analysis data. The maximum load capacity, impact strength and elastic energy of glass-fiber honeycomb sandwich panel are more than the aluminium honeycomb sandwich panel.
