It is important to satisfy the requirements and standards for the protections of passengers in a car accident. There are lots of studies on the crushing energy absorption of a structure members in automobiles. We have studied to investigate collapse characteristics and moisture absorption movements of CFRP(Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastics) hat shaped sectional members when CFRP laminates are under the hygrothermal environment. In particular, the absorbed energy, mean collapse load and deformation mode were analyzed for side members which absorbed most of the collision energy. Variation of CFRP interlaminar numbers is important to increase the energy absorption capability. Therefore we have made a static collapse experiment to research into the difference of absorbed energy and deformation mode between moisture absorbed specimen and non-moisture absorbed.

In this paper, we have studied to investigate collapse characteristics and moisture absorption movements of CFRP( carbon fiber reinforced plastics) structure members when CFRP laminates are under the hygrothermal environment. In particular, the absorbed energy, mean collapse load and deformation mode were analyzed for CFRP members which absorbed most of the collision energy. Also, variation of stacking angle is important to increase the energy absorption capability. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the strength reduction and moisture absorption behavior of CFRP hat shaped member. Therefore we have made a impact collapse experiment to research into the difference of absorbed energy and deformation mode between moisture absorbed specimen and non-moisture absorbed. As a result, the effect of moisture absorption and impact loads of approximately 50% reduction in strength are shown.
피브리노겐의 수치 및 중요한 아미노산 변형 돌연변이가 뇌중풍에 미치는 영향

Backgrounds : Stroke is characterized by loss of brain functions due to a disturbance in the blood vessels supplying blood to the brain, and classified into hemorrhage and ischemia. Stroke is known to be affected by genetic factors and other diseases such as hypertension and cardiovascular diseases. However, the distinctive association between stroke and genetic variations has not discovered yet. Objectives : This study investigated the effects of fibrinogen level and genetic variations in FGA (Fibrinogen alpha chain) gene on stroke in Korean stroke patients and controls. Methods : DNA samples from 674 stroke patients diagnosed by Oriental medical hospitals and 267 controls were used in this study. Two common single nucleotide polymorphism(SNP) with high minor allele frequency(MAF), rs2070011G/A of promoter region and nonsynonymous rs6050A/G of exon 5 in FGA gene, were targeted for Taqman genotyping. Because the TOAST classification is important to the factors and symptoms of stroke, ischemic patients were further classified into five subtypes using diagnosis and clinical data. One-way ANOVA and chi-square test were used for clinical data and genetic association, respectively. Haploview v4.1 program was used for linkage disequilibrium(LD), haplotype and haplotype block analysis. Results : The levels of red blood cells and fibrinogen from clinical data were shown to be significant factors for the sub-groups of TOAST classification. No significant associations of stroke, hemorrhage, ischemic and subtypes of TOAST with rs2070011 and rs6050 of FGA gene were found(P > 0.05). However, rs2070011 in promoter region and nonsynonymous rs6050 in exon 5 which produce the amino acid change from threonine to alanine showed a haplotype block and three haplotypes of A-G, G-A, A-A, suggesting that rs2070011 and rs6050 might be co-segregated in generic recombination. Although A-A haplotype of stroke patients showed 64-69% low frequency compared to controls, there was no significant association between stroke and haplotype(P > 0.05). Conclusion : This study showed that there was no significant association between stroke and two SNP of rs2070011G/A and nonsynonymous rs6050A/G in FGA gene. However, these two SNP compose a haplotype block and three haplotypes of A-G, G-A, A-A. This finding suggests that rs2070011 and rs6050 are so close as to be positioned as linkage disequilibrium. Nevertheless, no significant association between haplotypes and stroke was found.

The structural members must be designed to control characteristics of energy absorption for protecting passengers in a car accident. Study on collapse characteristics of structural member is currently conducted in parallel with other studies on effective energy absorption capacity of structural members with diverse cross-sectional shapes and various materials. This study concerns the crashworthiness of the widely used vehicle structural members, square thin-walled tubes, which are excellent in the point of the energy absorption capacity. The absorbed energy, mean collapse load and deformation mode were analyzed for side member which absorbs most of the collision energy. To predict and control the energy absorption, controller is designed in consideration of its influence on height, thickness and width ration in this study. The absorbed energy and mean collapse load of square tubes were increased by 15~20% in using the controller, and energy absorbing capability of the specimen was slightly changed by change of the high controller’s height.

The purpose of this paper is to analyze and compare English and Korean aspects, especially the difference and meaning the English Progressive aspect and the Korean Progressive aspect semantically. The marker of English Progressive aspect is ‘be+~ing’, those of Korean Progressive aspect are ‘-go iss-’, ‘-eo ga-’, ‘-eo o-’. There are many kinds of aspectual markers in Korean Progressive aspect. The usages of English Progressive aspect are progressive action, limited time duration, iterative, and imperfective. However, those usages of Korean Progressive aspect are continuative, limited continuative, incompletion, special habituative, descriptive action, and politeness. There are aspects as well as tense in English and Korean. In the future, aspect has to be taught one grammatical part in English and Korean. Clearly, aspect is different from tense.

The purpose of this paper is to survey and analyze the English syntacticㆍsemantic aspect and aspectual marker. Originally, aspect was understood as characteristics which verbs mean, however, aspect concepts have changed with the development of transformational generative grammar. In traditional grammar, aspect was not well known to people. However, I’d like to reveal the aspect into the surface through this paper. I divided aspect into syntactic aspect and semantic aspect. Of course, it is a view-point’s difference. Also, I insist that there are aspectual markers in English. They are “have+pp” and “be+-ing” in syntactic aspect and there are many kinds of aspectual markers in semantic aspect. From now on, we have to know aspect and tense differently. Although they have very similar points, I suggest that we have to classify them clearly. (Cheju National University)
과세제도 정책 변경으로 인한 프로그램 매매의 영향력 및 투자자 거래행태의 구조적 변화

2010년 이후 공모펀드 비과세 정책 변경으로 국가/지자체의 차익거래 비중이 급증하였다. 이와 관련하여, 프로그램 매매의 시장 변동성 증가에 대한 영향력 및 투자 주체별 거래행태를 분석하여, 정책 변경 이후의 구조적 변화 여부 및 성격을 파악하고자 하였다. EGARCH 모형을 이용한 분석결과, 전체 기간에 있어 프로그램 매매는 시장의 변동성과 양의 관계를 가지며, 비차익거래에 비해 차익거래가 변동성 증가와 관련성이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 2010년을 기점으로, 전체 프로그램 매매 규모와 일별 및 일중 변동성 증가의 관련성이 약화된 것으로 밝혀졌다. 특히 일중 관계에 있어 이러한 변화가 명확하게 나타났는데, 차익거래 및 비차익거래 모두 30분 단위 변동성의 증가에 대한 영향력이 감소한 것으로 분석되었다. 한편, VAR 모형을 이용한 투자 주체의 거래행태 분석 결과 국가/지자체는 단기적인 차익거래에 주력하는 것으로 판단되며, 기관 투자자에 비해 외국인 선물거래에 대한 의존성이 더욱 높은 것으로 나타났다. 따라서, 국가/지자체 거래 특성상 외국인 선물매도를 통한 매도차익거래의 유발이 여전히 가능하며 이전보다 더욱 용이한 상황으로 판단된다. In 2010, the change of the tax policy for public offering fund in the KOSPI market rapidly increases the ratio of nation/local government investors in arbitrage trading. This paper analyses structural changes and the characteristics after the tax policy change by examining the impact of program trading on return volatility and trading behaviors of investors in the KOSPI market. Results of EGARCH models support the positive relationship between program trading and volatility, and, compared to non-arbitrage trading, arbitrage trading has a stronger impact on volatility. After the tax policy change, the influence of program trading on both daily and intraday volatility diminishes. Especially, for the 30-minute intraday volatility, the impact of both arbitrage and non-arbitrage trading decreases. Results of VAR analysis show that nation/local government investors concentrate on a short-term arbitrage trading, and their dependency on futures trading of foreign investors is stronger than that of institutional investors. Due to these characterristics of nation/local government investors, selling futures of foreign investors can trigger the reverse cash-and-carry trading, and the trigger effect increases after the tax policy change.
