This study aims to examine the current status of Korean and overseas science and arts convergence programs in and out of schools to apply them in school education settings and to learn about the characteristics of overseas programs through case studies. In addition, it explores implications of the current domestic and overseas for implementation in schools. For this study, we selected 193 domestic in-school science and arts convergence programs and 106 domestic out-of-school programs. For the overseas programs, we selected those conducted by the government, research institutes, science halls, and art galleries. We also analyzed the domestic in-school programs by type of students, operation hours, areas of convergence, and the function and role of arts activities. We analyzed domestic out-of-school programs by operation time, operation method, areas of convergence, and type of activities. Moreover, we examined the overseas programs in terms of their program developers, goals, and characteristics. These findings suggest that in order for science and arts convergence education to become well established in Korean schools, it is necessary to develop programs that can be incorporated into the present science education curriculum, rather than individual content or a single class on science and arts convergence, and to diversify the range of programs. In addition, out-of-school programs should be actively considered, and intense discussions on the use of program activities and teaching materials are needed. Finally, research institutes and educational institutions should be closely linked to achieve a common goal.
열산화 T${a_2}{O_5}$박막에 미치는 RTA후처리의 영향

P-type(100)Si Wafer 위에 400$\AA$의 Ta를 증착하여 열산화법으로 ${Ta_2}{O_5}$박막을 형성시킴 후 RTA후처리를 통하여 절연파괴전장 특성 개선을 이루고자 하였다. 유전상수에 미치는 RTA후처리의 영향은 미약하지만 절연파괴전장을 나타내었으나 결정화 온도 이하의 RTA온도에서는 절연파괴전장이 5.4MV/cm로 RTA효과가 크게 나타났다. 이러한 RTA효과는 RTA온도 $575^{\circ}C$에서 flat band voltage shift가 RTA 시간에 따라 변화가 없는 것으로 미루어 보아 RTA효과는 계면 변화에 의한 것이 아님을 알 수 있었으며, RBS 분석을 통하여 ${Ta_2}{O_5}$1박막의 치밀화에 의한 것임을 확인할 수 있었다. The effects of RT A treatment on the breakdown strengths were studied for tantalum pentoxide(${Ta_2}{O_5}$) films prepared by thermal oxidation of dc-sputtered Ta(400$\AA$) on p-type (100) Si wafer. While the relative dielectric constants of the RT A -treated specimens were not remarkably affected, the breakdown strengths of the RTA-treated specimens were greatly changed by RTA temperature and time. After the RTA treatment, the breakdown strengths of the specimens RTA-treated at the temperature below the crystallization temperature were increased to 5.4MV /cm, while those of the specimens RTA -treated at the temperature above it were decreased to 0.5MV /cm. RTA time-independence of the flat-bant voltage shift refleted that the RT A post-annealing effects on the breakdown strengths were not due to the interface reaction between the ${Ta_2}{O_5}$ layer and the Si substrate but, through the RBS analysis, to densification of the ${Ta_2}{O_5}$ films.

Purpose: to study the utility of a program which diagnoses and compensates for color defects on computer monitors according to the severity and type of color vision deficiency (CVD). Methods: Twenty-eight patients with congenital CVD completed Seohan computerized hue test, color compensated Seohan computerized hue test and questionnaire for preference of color compensated images. The relation between results of the Seohan computerized hue test and the degrees of color compensation was investigated. HRR test and Nagel anomaloscope were used for determining the severity and type of CVD. Results: In applying the color compensation program, the total error score (TES) of the Seohan computerized hue test was significantly reduced. In cases of milder color vision defect, the TES of the color compensated Seohan computerized hue test was reduced at lower color compensations, while it was reduced at higher color compensations in cases of more severe color vision defect. In the color compensation of images, patients with milder color vision defects preferred images with lower color compensation and patients with more severe color vision defect preferred images with higher color compensation. Conclusions: The color compensation program for CVD effectively reduced the TES of Seohan computerized hue tests and improved the recognition of colors. This suggests that the program can be helpful to actual life in patients with CVD.
간장 ( 肝腸 ) 및 담도 ( 膽道 ) : 식도정맥류 출혈시 Kobayashi 술식에 대한 임상적 고찰

N/A Fifteen patients underwent emergency operation using the Kobayshi procedure for the management of unrelenting esophageal variceal hemorhage. The patients were treated between Jan-1988 and Dec. 1988 in the dept. of Surgery Wonju College of Medicine. The results are as follows: 1) The operative mortality rate was 13.3% (2/15), being contributed by earlier hepatic failure and intra-abdominal hemorrhage. 2) The esophageal bleeding was controlled in all of the 15 patients. 3) Ascites was a major clinical problem after this procedure. 4) There were no esophageal stricture and anastomotic leakage. In conclusion, the Kobayashi procedure is an useful method in the emergency management of the massive esophageal variceal bleeding.
