수치해석을 통한 180㎞/h급 틸팅차량 전두부의 주행 공기저항 해석

The optimal design for a leading car considering the aerodynamic resistance is required on the high-speed train due to increasing of ratio of drag force with proportion for the square of velocity. The aerodynamic analysis using CFD in the stage of concept design offers more economical analysis method which is used to estimate the influence of flow and pressure around the leading car than the experimental method using the Mock-up. In this study, we want to assist the artistic design with aerodynamics analysis in order to get the optimal design for leading car with the operation speed at 180㎞/h. The results of aerodynamic analysis for two leading car models which one is expressed with lineal beauty and the other is with curvaceous beauty are compared with each other and they offer the proposal of modification for two models in order to decrease the drag force. The shape of curvaceous model is better for the pressure force but slightly worse for the viscous force than the other. The Fluent software is used for the calculation of flow profile in this study.

The application of the tilting train is one of the most efficient ways to increase curving speed of train on existing tracks or on mountain railway lines with sharp curves. It can increase the running speed and ensure the passenger comfort and safety at the same time. Therefore, the development of tilting train has been paid high attention by many countries in the world. Tilting trains have been operated successfully in many countries such as Italy, Spain, Germany, Sweden, England and so on. The tilting trains possess broad prospects in raising speeds. The distributed EMU tilting train set will be developed according to the Korea railway conditions and will be operated on the Honam line. Janghang line and Jungang line. Because there is high percentage of curves on these lines, these lines are suited to operating tilting trains to raising speed and savinag passenger traveling time. In order to improve the curving performance of the tilting train, the active-contrul algorithm is utilized for the tilling bogie.
입자영상유속계를 이용한 대형수송함(LPH) 갑판 상부의 유동장 측정 연구

The flow field measurement above whole area of the flight deck on 'Landing Platform Helicopter (LPH)' was performed by using PIV system in wind tunnel. In various heading angle conditions (0deg, -30deg, -45deg, -60deg, -75deg and ±90deg), the velocity fields such as U velocity & V velocity were measured at three different height above flight deck. Due to the geometrical characteristics of several bodies like deck, crane and super-structure, various vortex were generated. When the heading angle is 0deg, the deck edge vortex by flight deck and massive separation by super-structure were clearly observed by visualization with smoke and PIV, respectively. In other heading angles, the acceleration of flow in space between crane and super-structure were detected. And area with flow separation by super-structure is directly related to the heading angle of vessel.
