The rotational performance of a machine tool spindle has a direct in fluence upon the surface finish of the finished workpiece. This running accuracy of the spindle is improved by increasing preload on the bearings, while it results in higher temperature rise and larger thermal deformation. Therefore, finding the optimal preload condition for high speed spindle is very important factors in spindle motion. In this study, the effect of the preload on the roundness accuracy has been examined at the different cutting conditions. Experiments were carried out to investigate the effects of the bearing preload on the running accuracy of high speed spindle which was supported by two angular contact bearings.

The clinical diagnosis of ankylosis can be made only when the affected tooth gives positive evidence of an inability to move. The inability to move is demonstrated either as a failure of the tooth to move with normal vertical dental alveolar growth or a failure of the tooth to move when the tooth is subjected to an orthodontic force system. This case report describes the autotransplantation of an ankylosed maxillary canine. 유착은 2차원적인 방사선 사진에서 명확히 진단되는 경우가 드물며, 임상적으로 정상적인 치조골의 수직성장을 동반한 치아 이동이 되지 않을 때, 교정력을 가하였지만 치아의 이동이 없을 때 유착이라 진단을 할 수 있다. 교정력에 반응하지 않는 유착된 상악 견치의 자가치아이식술의 증례를 보고하고자 한다.

It is very important to connect machinery and maintain it. This is usually done by bolt joint. There are two ways in connecting the bolt joint : the angle method and the torque method. The torque method is a method that let the clamping force maintain. The underhead of the bolt's head and the thread friction are the main influences. This study focuses on how the clamping farce and friction coefficient change under the condition in vibrating the underhead of the bolt's head part. As a result, under vibration condition, we found out that the clamping farce increases, while the friction coefficient decreases.
SpPCA와 MLP에 기반을 둔 응합법칙에 의한 MRS 패턴분류

본 논문에서는 SpPCA와 MLP에 기반을 둔 융합법칙에 의한 MRS 패턴분류기법을 제안한다. 차원축소를 위해 사용되는 기존의 PCA 기법은 입력데이터가 비선형 특성을 갖는 경우 최적의 변환행렬을 구할 수 없다는 문제점을 가지고 있다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 구간별로 입력데이터를 분할한 후 PCA에 의해 특징을 추출하는 SpPCA 기법을 이용하여 입력패턴의 차원을 축소한다. 다음 단계인 분류단계에서는 MLP 비선형분류기를 이용하여 구간마다 추출된 특징벡터를 이용하여 기준패턴과의 유사도를 산출한다. 최종 분류단계에서는 MLP에 의해서 산출된 유사도에 기반을 둔 융합법칙에 의하여 MRS 패턴을 분류한다. 제안된 방법의 유용성을 보이기 위한 실험결과에서 기존의 방법들에 비해서 향상된 인식결과를 보임을 확인하였다. In this paper, we propose the MRS p:Ittern classification techniques by the fusion scheme based on the SpPCA and MLP. A conventional PCA teclulique for the dimension reduction has the problem that it can't find a optimal transformation matrix if the property of input data is nonlinear. To overcome this drawback we extract features by the SpPCA technique which use the local patterns rather than whole patterns. In a next classification step, individual classifier based on MLP calculates the similarity of each class for local features. Finally, MRS patterns is classified by the fusion scheme to effectively combine the individual information. As the simulation results to verify the effectiveness, the proposed method showed more improved classification results than conventional methods.

This report presents an automatic measurement method of 3-dimensional profiles of free-formed surfaces, by using a touch a touch-trigger contact probe along with a conventional coordinate measuring machine. The method proceeds in three steps; The surface profile under consideration is traced by the probe in an automatic manner, and then its measured data is compensated by considering the actual probe radius. Finally the compensated data is rearranged in the form suitable for the further processings of CAD/CAM applications. Some experimental results are discussed to verify the validity of the method suggested in this study.

Higher productivity requires high-speed motion of machine tool axes. The iron core linear DC motor (LDM) is widely accepted as a viable candidate for high-speed machine tool feed unit. LDM, however, has two inherent disturbance force components, namely cogging and thrust force ripple. These disturbance forces directly affect the tracking accuracy of the feeding system and must be eliminated or reduced. In order to reduce motor ripple, this research adapted the feedforward compensation method and neural network control. Experiments carried out with the linear motor test setup show that these control methods are effective in reducing motor ripple.

Linear motor is very rapidly substituted for rotary motor and ball screw for precision positioning applications because of its characteristics such as high speed, no backlash and simplicities. A precision positioning system which is composed of linear motion(LM) guide and linear motor is widely used since it has easy controllable property but this system has low accuracy problem caused by friction of the LM guide. In this study, a scanning type XY stage is manufactured and some experiments is performed to improve the accuracy of the stage.
