Air refueling is expected to increase the efficiency of the air force operations. This follows from the introduction of air refueling aircraft, which should to increase operational time by increasing the range and duration of fighter jets. Despite the effectiveness of the air refueling air crafts, the astronomical costs of adapting the air tankers call for careful discussions on whether to acquire any air craft and if so, how many. However there is no academic study on the subject to our knowledge. Thus, we use the ABM(Agent Based Modeling) technique to calculate the optimal number of air tankers during patrol operation. We have enhanced the reliability of the simulation by entering the specifications of the current aircraft operated by the Korean Air Force. As an optimization tool for determining the optimal number of counts, we use OptQuest built into the simulation tools and show that the optimal number of air tanker is 4.

The life expectancy of the rotating unit used in various places in the vehicle is difficult to observe and predict the state of life due to the change of the vibration pattern according to the cause of various defects. The pattern of vibration depends on the degree of degradation of the bearing, and even if you try to record and judge it, the capacity of the measured data increases rapidly with time, making it difficult to store and utilize it. Therefore, various methods for predicting the lifespan of a rotating unit, especially a bearing, have been studied, and it is necessary to accurately grasp the state information of the rotating unit. In this paper, a signal processing and clustering system for vibration information proposed by using an experimental data set with an attached radial sensor attached to the bearing test rig to understand the state information of the rotating unit. The clustered state information was proposed to enable faster and more efficient analysis of signal processed vibration information. This method shows that it is possible to classify the same fault information that occurred in different test sets, so it is expandable that can be classified even if new vibration information of a rotating unit is input. Also, it is an economical classification method because it does not need to deal with a large amount of accumulated data when building a monitoring system with a relatively simple clustering method.
시스템다이내믹스를 이용한 수요예측정확도가 공급사슬 성과에 미치는 영향 분석

This study analyzes the impact of DFA(demand forecasting accuracy) on performance in SC(supply chain) system using SD(system dynamics) methodology. The research model is very simple, but it is sufficient to observe the effect of DFA on SC performance in the model. Through this study, the following results were obtained: First, the methodology was presented using an SD technique to dynamically analyze how DFA affect the performance of the overall system, such as the inventory level and the service rate. Second, using the characteristics of SD, time delay and feedback effects produced by variables in the study model were observed on SC. Third, this could be modelled as a system that the realized demand and DFA are confirmed beforehand and the forecasting quantity is reflected in the inventory policy. The result demonstrates the effect of DFA on SC performance. This study provides evidence of the effectiveness of SD in the quantitative analysis of SC where causal relationship is apparent, suggesting that SD should be widely used in the field of SC.
한국 의료서비스산업의 시장지배력과 생산성에 관한 실증분석

본 논문은 Hall(1990)과 Basu(1997)의 모형에 근거하여 생산성추정모형을 설정하고, 분석기간 1975:1-2010:4에 걸쳐서 의료서비스 산업에 있어서 생산성을 5개의 형태로 측정한 다음 생산성의 순환성을 밝히고 실질임금과 측정된 생산성과의 연관성을 분석하였다. 시장지배력을 제거하고 규모의 보수를 고려하여 솔로우잔차항을 측정한 결과 의료서비스 산업에서 시장지배력이 크게 존재하고 있으며 생산측면에서 규모의 보수가 크게 존재하고 있다는 것이 확인되었다. 시장지배력을 제거하는 경우 솔로우잔차항은 강한 경기순행성에서 강한 경기역행성으로 전환되었음을 볼 수 있다. 이러한 결과는 시장지배력을 나타내는 대리변수인 산업별 마크업의 경기역행적인 특성이 작용하고 있는 것으로 추론할 수 있다. 또한 실질임금증가율과 생산성과의 관계를 분석할 때 생산성지표로서 노동생산성이나 본래의 솔로우잔차항 또는 시장지배력을 제거한 총비용에 근거한 솔로우잔차항이 적정한 지표로 활용될 수 있음을 밝히고 있다. This paper establishes the empirical model based on Hall′s(1990) and Basu′s(1996) models, estimates the five types of productivity in the medical service industry over the period 1975:1-2010:4, and analyzes the cyclicality of measured productivities and their correlations with the industrial real wage. The empirical results are summarized as the followings. First, there proved to be substantial market power in pricing and returns to scale in production for the medical service industry. Second, the three types of productivity among 5 types showed to be procyclical. Third, the average labor productivity, the original Solow residual, and the cost-based Solow residual are expected to provide reasonable indexes in analyzing the relationship between productivity and real wage.

모바일 디바이스의 사용이 폭발적으로 증가하고 있고, 특히 스마트폰을 위한 많은 어플리케이션이 소개 되고 있지만, 여전히 스마트폰이 가지는 낮은 하드웨어 성능과 제한적인 배터리용량은 PC 환경을 대체하기가 어렵다. 본 논문에서는 클라우드가 가지는 서버 환경을 통해서 모바일 디바이스의 특정 태스크를 서버 사이드로 오프로딩 하여 실행하고, 단말은 그 결과만 전달받는 방식의 모바일 오프로딩 시스템을 제안한다. 실험을 통해서 모바일 오프로딩의 방법이 어플리케이션의 응답성을 높일 수 있음을 확인하였다. 또한 제시된 오프로딩 기법을 통해서 단말의 CPU utilization 을 줄이고, 따라서 단말의 소모전력을 최대 70%까지 줄일 수 있었다.

Many of the most significant choices that people make are between vices and virtues. In choosing between vices and virtues, consumers sometimes buy several items on one shopping trip. The current research examines whether (1) choice context (consumers` choices for themselves vs. others) will moderate effects of level of goal progress on the relative choice share of tasty but fattening vices (vs. virtues) when consumers buy multiple items for themselves and others; (2) choice context (consumers` choice for themselves vs. others) will moderate interactive effect of level of goal progress (low vs. high) and framing of goal progress (completed vs. remaining) on consumers` choice between vices and virtues. In conclusion, when consumers buy multiple items for themselves and others, our research findings demonstrated that (1) the difference in choice share of vices (vs. virtues) between the high progress and low progress conditions was larger for consumers choosing for themselves rather than for others; (2) the two-way interaction between the level of goal progress and the framing of goal progress was significant in the choice-for-self condition but not in the choice-for-other condition. Finally, we discuss the theoretical and practical implications of our findings and develop directions for future research.
