중소기업의 기업가정신이 경영성과에 미치는 영향: 사회적 자본의 조절효과

This study aimed to analyze the effects of managers’ entrepreneurship of small & medium-sized enterprises on the management performance. This study also aimed to verify the moderating effects of social capital on the relation between entrepreneurship and management performance. For this, total 271 questionnaires collected from CEO’s of small & medium-sized enterprises related to electric work in Daejeon and Chungnam regions were analyzed. The results of this study could be summarized as follows. First, in the relation between entrepreneurship and management performance, the need for achievement, risk-taking, and locus of control of entrepreneurship had positive effects on the management performance. Second, the trust of social capital played the moderating role in relations of need for achievement, and management performance while the sharing vision had moderating effects on the relation between locus of control and management performance. This means that the entrepreneurship is not only a source of life for the corporate permanence that awakens the spirit of challenge and innovation in managers, but also a very important key-factor for the successful fulfillment of tremendous responsibilities for the corporate development.

The present study sought to examine the effects of small medium sized business CEOs’ entrepreneurship innovativeness, need for achievement, and risk taking on management performance; furthermore, the moderating effects of marketing capacity and financial capacity in the foregoing influencing relationships were reviewed. In summary, the results are as follows. First, small medium sized business CEOs’ entrepreneurship the need for achievement and risk taking were shown to have statistically significant positive (+) influences on management performance. Second, marketing capacity was shown to have moderating effects on the relationships between management performance and entrepreneurship innovativeness/ need for achievement and the moderating effects of financial capacity were found only in the relationship between management performance and the need for achievement. Finally, the results of the present study emphasize the importance of cultivation of entrepreneurship that affects small medium sized business CEOs’ management performance and imply that this cultivation can reinforce the effects of managers’ marketing capacity and financial capacity on management performance. The study concludes with discussing the limitations and directions of further research.
