        호남지역의 양축농가에 있어서 UR에 대처한 가축의 생산성 향상에 관한 연구

        For the purpose to increase productivities of livestock the present investigations were undertaken in order to clarify the clinical and suclinical status of Korean native cattle, dairy cattle(holstein) and Korean native goat. Blood, feces and urine samples were collected from 247 Korean native cattle(222 adult and 25 calf), 224 dairy cattle(211 adult and 13 calf) and 142 Korean native goat rearing at Chonbuk area and analyzed for clinical, serum chemical, hematological and urinary findings. In addition, we were examined the infection rate of theileriosis, internal parasite and ring worm. The mean value for each component was calculated by statistical analysis using Excel computer program. From these investigations the following results were obtained. The mean values for RBC, PCV and etc in 433 adult cow(Korean native cattle and dairy cattle) were similar with other reports. But the mean values for MCHC of all species were lower than normal. Adult Korean native cattle and adult dairy cattle which showed hematologically normal levels were only 9.01% and 9.48%, respectively. Abnormally high values for PCV, RBC and Hb were recorded in 7.66% of adult Korean native cattle, 20% of korean native calf, 15.38% of dairy calf and 13.36% of Korean native goat. Adult Korean native cattle and adult dairy cattle which showed hematologically anemia were 4.95% and 19.43% respectively, but Korean native calf and dairy calf showed normal. Adult Korean native cattle, adult dairy cattle, Korean native calf and dairy calf which showed normal serum protein level 84.0%, 90.8%, 50% and 44.4%, respectively. In present investigations, 50% of Korean native calf and 55.6% of dairy calf were decreased serum protein values under range. These abnormally decreased serum protein values mean the shortage of antibody, and these have a possibility to occurs to pneumonia and diarrhea. From these results, the economical loss caused by pneumonia was calculated as 124,038,833 won in the KNC and 742,703,430 won in the dairy calf rearing in Chonbuk area. Calculated economical loss caused by enteritis was 56,658,690 won in Korean native cattle, 476,775,799 won in dairy calf, and the total loss amount of 533,434,488 won in Chonbuk area. Abnormally high values$(21.7{\pm}4.0mg/dl)$ for serum calcium were recorded 49.6% in dairy cattle. The mean values for serum total cholesterol were $170.8{\pm}99.8mg/dl$ in Korean native cattle, $196.0{\pm}40.6mg/dl$ in Korean native calf, $202.9{\pm}86.0mg/dl$ in adult dairy cattle and $289.4{\pm}97.5mg/dl$ in dairy calf. The infection rate of internal parsite were as follows; adult Korean native cattle: 21.2%, Korean native calf: 8.0%, adult dairy cattle: 67.8% and Korean native goat: 81.5%. The estimated economical loss caused by internal parasites infection were 1,120,855,837 won in Korean native calf, 4,994,959,405 won in adult Korean native cattle, 3,334,751,066 won in adult holstein, and the total loss amount to 9,450,566,308 won. The infection rate of theileriosis were 1.4% in Korean native cattle and 6.6% in dairy cattle. The presumed economical loss by T. sergenti infection were 154,408,482 won in Korean native cattle and 171,577,237 won in dairy cattle rearing at Chonbuk area. The infection rate of ringworm were 0.5% in Korean native cattle, 0.9% adult dairy cattle and 7.7% in dairy calf. The presumed economical loss by dermatomycophyte were 12,061,532 won in Korean native cattle, 16,895,403 won in dairy cattle, and the total estimated loss amount to 28,955,935 won a year in Chonbuk area.

        전북지방 한봉꿀의 계절별 성분에 관한 연구

        This study was to investigate the properties such as amounts of moisture, inverted sugar, cane sugar and 5-(hydroxymethyl)-2-furfural(HMF) in feeding-honey(n=45) and wild-honey (n=3) harvested in Chonbuk area from April to November 1995. The results obtained were summarized as follows; The average percentages of moisture in both feeding- and wild-honey was 20.2%(range, 17.5~23.1) and 20.7%(19.4~22.2). And those of inverted sugar/cane sugar in both honeies were 64.4%(55.8~69.3)/6.8%(1.0~15.7) and 68.9%(68.5~69.8)/3.1%(2.5~3.7), in seasonal analysis those were 65.9%/5.3% in spring, 65.7%/6.6% in summer, 62.1%/8.0% in autumn, respectively. On the other hand, the average amounts of HMF in both honeies were 44.86mg/kg(22.6~68.6) and 7.0mg/kg(6.2~7.6), its average difference between both honeies were about 37.86mg/kg regardless of region and season.

        세균감염에 의한 초생타조(Struthio camelus camelus)의 쇠약 증후군의 발생 증례

        The most common cause of death is ostrich chick fading syndrome(OCFS), which is due to bacterial infection during artificial incubation and hatching. Six farmed ostrich chicks aged 3 and 10 days in Chonbuk province, were submitted to Chonbuk Livestock Development and Research Institute for necropsy. Clinically, birds showed hair loss, ocular exudate, lethargy, diarrhea, and subsequently died 3-5 days after onset of clinical signs. Grossly, umbilicus was enlarged. White-yellowish purulent nodules were scattered on the lung and the membrane of air-sac was thickened and had inflamed exudate on the surface in two chicks that died 3 days after hatching. In 10 days-old chick, intestine was shown redding segmentally. Yolk sac was still retarded and its surface was partially hemorrahgic. The synovial fluid of the leg was yellowish. Microscopically, multifocal purulent exudates were scattered on the lung. Capillary microthrombi in the glomerulus were prominent and tubular epithelia were necrotic. Necrotic hepatocytes were scattered and intestine were congested. Microbiologically, Pseudomonas sp and/or E coli were isolated from air-sac, lung and/or liver. This case suggests that poor hygiene during artificial incubation, hatching or in the first week after hatching may cause high mortality of the ostrich chicks.

        청둥오리에서 Riemerella anatipestifer 감염 증례

        Riemerella anatipestifer (RA) infection is a contagious disease of domestic ducks, turkey, and various other birds. In a flock of mallard ducklings, about 30% of the birds, 3 weeks old, showed lethergy, greenish diarrhea, tremor of head and neck, and died 2-3 days after signs appeared. Grossly, fibrinous exudates covered the heart and surface of the live. Microscopically, mononuclear cells and heterophils were primarily inflammatory cells in the exudate. These were also observed in the meninges in brain. Microbiologically, gram (-) short rod bipolar shaped bacteria were recovered on blood agar and agglutinated by antisera of R anatipestifer. Sulfamethoxasole/trimethoprim were administered and clinically effective. This case was a R anatipestifer infection caused fibrinous pericarditis, hepatitis and meningitis in mallards.

        전영성 F낭병에 대한 혈청학적 연구

        This study was carried out to provide the fundamental information for development of proper vaccination program against infectious bursal disease(IBD) to the local chicken farms. The antigen detection was performed from 8 samples of bursa of Fabricius with agar gel precipitation(AGP) and indirect immunofluorescent assay(IFA), And also, the antibodies in serum samples were detected by the various serological methods such as commercial ELISA assay, AGP and virus neutralization(VN) test. 1. The antigen detection rates were 25% for AGP which is 2 out of 8 farms and 10 out of 40 bursas, and 25% which is 2 out of 8 farms and 20% 8 out of 40 bursas for IFA, respectively. 2. The mean titer of maternal antibody (>3,000) existed until 10 days of the age with ELISA-GMT. 3. The antibody positive rates which are over 80% showed until 5 days of the age with ELISA and at 10 days of the age with AGP except one, but none of them showed from 1 day of the age. This report came to conclusions that both the protective maternal antibody titers and the antigen positive rates were significant until at the 10 days of the age.

        HPLC를 이용한 당류의 동시분석법

        In order to develop a good separation and simultaneous analysis of different sugar in an artificial mixed sugar solution, we analyzed 10 sugar components in an artificial mixed sugar solution composed of fructose, glucose, mannitol, sucrose, maltose, lactose, xylose, xylitol, erythritol, and trehalose with using HPLC-ELSD or HPLCRI. Separation and Quantification by I-IPLC-ELSL) was superior to those by 1-IPLC-R1 and detection sensitivity by HPLC-ELSD was higher then that by HPLC-RI as microgram(Ltg) level. 1. The units of minimal detectable limits were showed pg/me and ng/m by the HPLC-RI and I-IFLC-ELSD, respectively. 2. The condition of ELSD was drift tube temperature 82 C, N2 gas flow rate 2.10 SLPM, and column oven temperature 30 `C, respectively. Isolation and recovery rates of single sugar from the multiple sugar solution was higher at the condition (time: flow rate: D.W.: ACN MeOR, mm: ni/min: v: v: v) of linear gradient elution of mobile phase as 0: 1.00:15: 85: 0,1:1.00:6:90:4, 17:1.00:10:70:20, 23:1.00:15:85:0 and 35: 1.00:15:85:0, in order.
