Uniform is getting increased importance as one of the symbols which represent the characteristic of company as well as gives good impression to the customers. Uniform shows the kinds of companies and forms of jobs, and it makes the people who is putting on the uniform feel the sense of unity, a security of one`s position and the companionship, and also it gives him a sense of responsibility and elevates the efficiency of tasks. It is required to be designed for a uniformity, and it can contribute in the increase of work efficiency and help the company get the good results of the management by inspiring the workers with conceit and belongingnesses. The purpose of this study is as the followings : 1) Through the practical survey, we analyze workers`, staffs` and consumers` preference for uniform design. 2) We analyze the fashion trend for 97/98 A/W. 3) We present each uniform design for seven different types of company on the basis of 1) (design preference) and 2) (fashion trends).

This research is for the purpose of understanding the exact shape of women's foot arches and their correct functions. It will also lead consumers to select healthy and comfortable shoes, which relieve pains in the feet, by considering their functions rather than their designs. Furthermore, it can help the shoe manufacturers make better shoes for consumers by providing the information about the shape of women's foot arches. For these reasons I surveyed of 115 women about the specific characters or their feet. The results of this research can be summarized as follows. First, 1 found the width and length of the arch decreased as the ages increased, resulting in the reduction in the size of the arch. The arch deseended making the foot become more like a fallen one. Namely, the younger the women were, the more proper the arches in their feet were. Second, this research showed it was likely that the heavier the women were, the more they had fallen feet. Third, the women who worked standing were more fallen arched than those who worked sitting, ft seemed that the longer the feet had weight shifted upon them, the muscles and ligantents extended causing the process of becoming fallen arches. Fourth, the women who had fallen arches usually wore low heel shoes, while most of the women with proper arches in their feet wore high heel shoes. It showed that the women with fallen arches tended to look for comfortable shoes without being sensitive of the fashion. Fifth, the women whose arches had descended becoming fallen ones had gone through more chaanges in their foot size than those who had proper ones. This was because the foot with a fallen arch had a broader contact area to the surface for an outcoming of the larger size of the shoe. Sixth, the changes of the arch size in width and length had a direct ratio to each other, The width and length of the muscles and ligaments expanded, so that the area covered by the foot increased proportionally.

The pantyhose is a close-fitting garment, and consumers are highly sensitive to any progress made in fitting the garment to their lower body and comfort. However, the pantyhose manufactured in Korea are only one-sized. The purpose of this study is to suggest a sizing system for pantyhose. The results of this study are as follows: 1. As a results of questions regarding the sizing system of pantyhose, 88.2% of people who responded to our questionnaire preferred multi-sized pantyhose. In particular, larger women opposed to thin women expressed some dissatisfaction in the length and the width of the pantyhose. In addition, most of women preferred and indication of the sizing system and the body size of the control dimension (body mass and height). 2. The 13 species of pantyhose that were manufactured abroad are of all sizes, and only one type of pantyhose if one-sized. However, most domestic pantyhose except one, are one-sized. 3. As a result of the experiment, the spandex content in pantyhose was approximately 12~18%. Moreover, the elongation rate was approximately 200~370%, which differed according to the features of the material. The stretch size of the pantyhose had varies greatly, and has not yet been standardized. 4. The methods for indicating the pantyhose size in this study are the square method and the stair method. The characteristics of the square method are simple, but the coverage is relatively low. The characteristic of the stair method are so complicated that older women have a low preference for this method. However, the coverage rate is high.

The body changes of the elderly women are the forward tilt of the neck and shoulder point, shrinkage of the spinal column, and protrusive abdomen. Unfortunately, few data based on body measurements for elderly women existed and a few studies are limited to the body figure of the elderly women. If these changes are not applied to the manufacturing of the clothing, almost of the elderly women will be unfitted with their clothing. So to improve the fitting of the elderly women, it is necessary to use the standard size systems for elderly women. This report is the first study to develop the standard tables of body measurements to be used for improving the fit of garments and patterns for women aged 60 and older. This study drew from anthropometric measurements of 337 and photographic measurements of 276 women aged 60 and older. It described the protocol of anthroponetric measurement, the comparison between the measured data and the data on which National anthropometric survey of korea 1997 is based, and the development of body measurement standard tables for elderly women. And we also considered the regional difference of body dimensions in order to develop the national size standards for elderly women. Further study would include the classification of body dimensions and description of each figure type for sizing apparel of women aged 60 and older.
