캠핑 테이블을 위한 전통짜임 활용 연구

캠핑을 통해 자신의 개성과 감성을 표현하는 다양한 캠핑 아이템으로 취향을 공유하려는 캠핑 인구가증가하면서 캠핑용품도 꾸준히 다양하게 개발되고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 우리 전통기술인 짜임의견고하면서도 장식적으로 응용할 수 있는 장점을 살려 개성 있는 캠핑 가구 개발을 위해 기존 캠핑 테이블의 구조분석을 하고, 각각의 형태와 구조에 따라 적용할 수 있는 짜임을 제시함으로써 전통적인짜임을 이용한 캠핑 테이블 개발에 활용을 목적으로 한다. 연구방법은 대표적으로 많이 사용하는 짜임50가지 중 접착제를 사용하지 않고도 끼우거나 맞추는 방법만으로 견고하고 구조의 완성도를 높이며, 장식성이 있는 짜임을 파악하여 분류하였다. 그리고 캠핑 테이블의 구조에 있어 상판과 다리의 연결, 다리와 다리의 연결 등의 조립방법을 분석하고, 기존 캠핑 테이블 디자인의 구조적 특징에 따라서 사용이 가능한 짜임을 대입하였다. 그 결과 조립식으로 제작되는 캠핑 테이블에 활용할 수 있는 짜임은장부가 완전히 통과되어 산지나 촉을 끼워주는 장부짜임과 나무와 나무를 교차하여 구조적인 안정감과 균형을 이루는 턱짜임 그리고 주먹장이나 통장부를 사용해 판재와 판재를 연결하는 판재짜임 등견고하면서도 겉으로 구조가 보여 장식적으로 활용이 가능한 짜임들을 분류하여 제시하였다. 이렇게분류된 다양한 짜임들은 앞으로 테이블 이외에도 의자나 쉘프 등의 캠핑 가구에 적용할 수 있고, 더불어 짜임을 캠핑 가구에 활용하고자 하는 것은 현대인의 캠핑 문화를 통해서 우리 문화를 알리고 전통기술을 현대적으로 활성화하는 계기라 생각하며 본 연구에서 제시한 전통짜임을 활용한 다양한 캠핑용품이 개발되기를 기대한다. As the number of camping people who want to share their tastes with various camping items that express their individuality and emotions through camping increases, camping supplies are also constantly being developed in a variety of ways. Accordingly, in this study, we analyzed the structure of existing camping tables to develop unique camping furniture by taking advantage of the robust yet decorative applicability of Zzaim, our traditional technology, and presented Zzaim, which can be applied according to each shape and structure. By doing so, the purpose is to use it to develop a camping table using traditional Zzaim. The research method was to identify and classify Zzaim that is sturdy, improves the completeness of the structure, and has decorative properties by simply fitting or fitting without using adhesives among the 50 commonly used Zzaim. In addition, in the structure of the camping table, assembly methods such as connection between the top and legs, and connection between legs were analyzed, and Zzaim, which can be used according to the structural characteristics of the existing camping table design, was substituted. As a result, Zzaim, which can be used in prefabricated camping tables, includes Jangbu-Zzaim, which inserts the tenons completely through, Teog-Zzaim, which creates structural stability and balance by crossing wood with wood, and Jumeogjang or Tongjangbu to connect board to board. We categorized and presented Zzaim that are sturdy but have a structure that can be used decoratively, such as connecting Panjae-Zzaim. The various Zzaims classified in this way can be applied to camping furniture such as chairs and shelves in addition to tables in the future, and the intention to use Zzaim in camping furniture is an opportunity to promote our culture through modern people's camping culture and revitalize traditional technology in a modern way. We hope that various camping supplies using the traditional Zzaim presented in this study will be developed.

불교 불살생관의 생태적 적용

계정혜(戒定慧) 삼학(三學)은 깨달음을 얻기 위해서 필수적인 조건이다. 계율 중에서는 불살생계가 가장 중요한 위치를 차지한다. 그래서 모든 계율의 조목 가운데서도 항상 첫 번째 항목으로 강조되고 있다. 그러나 경전을 자세히 살펴보면 불교에서의 계율은 깨달음을 얻는 것과 고통을 벗어나기 위한 하나의 수단이라는 것을 알 수 있다. 따라서 불살생계는 인간으로 하여금 생명의 소중함을 알게 하고, 자비심을 기르게 하며, 모든 중생들이 고통 없이 조화롭게 살 수 있도록 하기 위한 방편일 뿐 목적은 아닌 것이다. 그러므로 시대적 환경에 맞도록 생태적, 중도적인 관점에서 불살생관의 시각을 달리 하여야 하리라고 생각된다. 현대는 산업의 발달과 인구의 증가로 인한 오염으로 생태위기가 심각한 시점이다. 발달된 과학 문명의 혜택을 누리는 우리의 행위는 하나하나가 환경오염의 원인이 되므로 우리들 어느 누구든 생태계의 교란에 대한 책임을 면할 수 있는 사람은 없을 것이다. 환경의 오염은 모든 생명체들에게 고통을 가져다줄 뿐 아니라, 생물의 죽음이나 멸종을 가져오고 있다. 이러한 일이 내 눈앞에서 벌어지지 않는다 해서, 단지 파리, 모기, 개미 등의 미물조차도 죽이지 않는 것만으로 ‘나는 불살생계를 잘 지킨다’라고 말 할 수는 없는 것이다. 미시적 개체적 생명관에서 거시적 유기적 생명관으로 향하는 것이 바로 생태적 생명관인 것이다. The three studies(Morality, Concentration and Wisdom) are absolutely essential for Enlightenment. The most important part in the Morality is Ahimsa(the rule of No-Killing). Therefore, Ahimsa is concidered as the first priority in morality. But the Sutra teaches that the Morality is a means of Enlightenment which overcomes suffering(duḥkha). Ahimsa is not an object, but just skillful means which help us to know the importance and preciousness of life and to cultivate the compassion and to live harmoniously. Therefore, we have to change our viewpoint on Ahimsa adaptable to the current interpretation of ecology and middle way. With the development of science and the sudden increase of population, we, all, are responsible for the pollution of environment. Therefore no one can escape from the responsibility for the destruction of our ecosystem. The pollution of environment brings us not only the suffering of all sentient being but also the extinction of species. Accordingly it's not the right attitude of ecosattva to overlook the current environmental pollution, insisting that he keeps Ahimsa by just not killing small insect such as flies, mosquitos, ants, and etc. In this sense, the real ecological outlook on life should be directed from the traditional microscopic and individual viewpoints to the macroscopic and total viewpoints. So in this paper, I'd like to suggest the way of ecosattva in order to minimize the destruction of environment

불교 불식육계(不食肉戒)의 생태학적 고찰

Compassion in Buddhism can be put into practice through various kinds of methods. The abstention from eating meat to respect animal‘s life is one of them. The precept of the abstention from eating meat emphasized in Buddhism is one of the abstinence from taking life (不殺生) which belong to the category of the first of the five precepts (五戒). Human beings, physically characterized by omnivorous animal, sometimes have difficulty in maintaining health only by eating vegetables. To some extent, the sacrifice of animals is inevitable for the survival of human beings. However, the point is that how we should have dietary life to observe the precept of the no-killing. That is the very Buddhist - oriented dietary life of abstention from eating meat precept. If the ecological way of eating can be called the co -existence of human beings and nature, it is necessary for us to have a careful effort for a ecological way of eating. The intake of meats that is killed directly or indirectly by the modern agricultural industry should be restrained. The imported foods through the development of long distance transportation also aggravate ecology. All foods that require much energy through production,storage, transportation, and cooking will be the cause of indirect killing. So it will be also the violation of precept of the abstention from eating meat. The ecological eating is not merely confined to the matter of eating meat or vegetable. The eating that causes less killing is the true way of keeping the precept of the abstention from eating meat. That is the very way of ecological eating. The idealistic eating way that prevents the putting into practice doesn’t helps solving the ecological problem. We should keep the precept of no-killing by practicing “one or two no-meat day” in a week. That is the very way we can minimize killing animal. 불교의 자비는 수많은 방법을 통하여 실천될 수 있다. 그 중 하나가 동물의생명을 소중히 여기는 불살생의 실천이다. 불교에서 강조되는 불식육계도 결국은 불살생을 위한 계율이다. 그러나 잡식동물이라는 생리적 특성상 인간은 채식만으로 건강을 유지하기 어려운 경우도 있다. 즉 인류의 생존을 위하여 다른 동물의 생명 희생이따르게 되는 것이다. 문제는 불살생의 실천을 위하여 어떠한 방법으로 식생활을 하느냐이다. 그것이 바로 불교의 불식육계가 지향하는 식사법이다. 타 생명체의 희생을최소화시키면서 자연과 인류가 조화롭게 공존할 수 있는 식사법을 생태식이라고 할 때 우리는 생태식을 위한 세심한 노력이 필요하다. 무수한 직간접적 살생의 과정을 통하여 현대의 산업농이 생산한 육류의섭취는 자제되어야 한다. 교통수단의 발달로 원거리에서 수입되는 식품도 역시 환경에 나쁜 영향을 미친다. 생산과 저장 이동 조리 등의 어느 과정에서든지 에너지가 많이 투입되는 식품은 모두 간접살생의 원인이 되므로 이것 역시 불식육계를 간접적으로 범하는 것이다. 생태식은 단순히 육식과 채식의문제가 아니다. 불살생을 적게 유발하는 식사법이 바로 불상생계를 지키기는참된 식사법인 것이다. 그것이 바로 생태식인 것이다. 이상을 높이 두고 현실의 실천을 불가능하게 하는 것은 현 생태문제의 해결에 별 도움이 되지 않는다. 우선 1주에 하루나 이틀이라도 무육일(無肉日)을 정하여 고기를 먹지 않는 실천을 해나가야 한다. 그리고 동물의 고통을자기의 고통으로 여겨 나의 식생활에서 얼마나 생태식이 실천되고 있는지날마다의 점검을 필요로 하는 시점이다. 그것이 바로 불살생을 최소화할 수있는 길이기 때문이다.

Analysis of the Traditional Setting-up as an Application for Spatial Composition

Recently, there is a new issue, among the contemporary people, for new life style, such as green design and well being. This trend brought up the necessity that there should be alternatives for interior spatial design. In order to catch up with these new issues, the new convenient and environment friendly methods are in need. Space composition using setting-up is skill that can express both the structural aspect and esthetic because it represents traditional beauty into the contemporary age through the structural rigidity and formal beauty. Also the lumber, as main materials for setting up, is in line with well being life style and environment friendliness. The construction of structure by setting-up has advantages in terms of the reuse and the convenience in that the construction of structure is adjustable according to environment. And setting-up has enough plasticity not only because of its own role as linking the objects but also because of being framed by itself. Therefore setting-up will be a design element, if it is expressed outward. Thus, this study aims to give a guide line about how to apply the result from the evaluating that "what is the most suitable setting-up" and "what is the most suitable detail setting-up", based on that structural rigidity, decorativeness and the ease of works. As a result of evaluation, the most excellent types of setting-up in terms of structural rigidity are "Jangbu" and "Panjae" and "Yeongui". The most excellent types of setting-up in terms of decorativeness are "Panjae" and "Yeongui", and the most excellent type of the ease of work is "Mat". And also the most applicable detail setting-up for the utilization of spatial composition is proposed.
