This study investigates the quality characteristics of Sikhye, a Korean traditional drink, made with different amounts of Monascus anka rice, or red yeast rice, and the results are as follows. During the saccharification process of red yeast rice, there was not significant change in pH, and its sugar content increased. It revealed that the optimal hours of saccharification for making Sikhye were four or five hours, which showed the highest in ° Brix. PH decreased significantly with increasing amounts of red yeast rice, and there was no change in sugar content and reducing sugar. Chromaticity L values decreased with increasing amounts of red yeast rice, and a value, b value and the turbidity increased. DPPH free radical scavenging activity of the samples showed significant differences in the samples with high scores as the amounts of red yeast rice increased. As a result of measuring the total microorganism number of the sample stored at 4℃, storability was improved with increasing amounts of red yeast rice. Preference was high in the order of 40%, 50%, 30%, 20%, 0%, and 10%, and the optimal amount of red yeast rice was less than 40-50%. Adding red yeast rice showed high scores in the sensory test, showing red color in Sikhye. In addition, its antioxidative activity effect and microbial growth inhibitory activity were considered to improve storability and preference.
지속가능한 발전을 위한 자원순환형 사회구축방안의 규명 (자원 재활용을 중심으로)

본 연구에서는 우리나라의 자원순환형 사회 구축을 위해 폐기물 발생현황 및 그에 따른 추진정책과 구체적인 실천 방안들을 제시하였다. 자원순환형 사회의 구축은 인류 생존을 위해서도 필수적인 사안이다. 우리나라는 2003년에 적극적인 폐기물정책의 일환으로 생산자책임재활용제도를 도입·시행하여 환경 친화적인 경제활동을 유도하고 폐기물의 원천적인 감량화와 재사용, 재활용을 촉진하고 있다. 향후 폐기물 관리정책은 지속가능한 발전이라는 세계적인 흐름에 따라, 기존의 매립이나 소각에 의한 단순처리보다는 환경성과 경제성을 조화시키는 폐기물 재활용 기술 개발과 정책이 뒷받침 되어야 하며, 생산자와 유통자, 소비자 모두가 적극적인 역할과 책임을 갖고 노력하는 통합적인 방향으로 추진되어야 할 것이다. This research presented the status of waste generation, its policy, and definite practical plans for establishing recycling based society in Korea. Establishing recycling based society is an essential case for survival of mankind. In 2003, Korea positively accepted and operated a waste policy such as extended producer responsibility, derived environment friendly economic activities and helped along fundamentally reducing, reusing, and recycling of waste. From now on the management policy of waste will follow world trend for keeping up development. Simple processes of existing landfill or incineration will be changed to development of technology for waste recycling, matching up environment and economic, and policy must back up the development. Every producer, distributor, and consumer must have an active role and responsibility to promote unified way to recycling based society.
인터네트상의 멀티미디어 전자우편 시스템의 설계 및 구현

요즈음 하드웨어의 급격한 발전과 함께 멀티미디어에 대해 많은 관심이 집중 되고 있다. 컴퓨터 네트워크를 통한 정보 전달 서비스에서도 멀티미디어를 보다 효율적이고 편리하게 이용하기 위한 관심이 폭발적으로 증대되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 RFC822를 수정 확정하여 기존의 전자우편 망인 SMTP(Simple Mail Transfer Protocol)를 통하 여 멀티미디어 데이타를 전송할 수 있도록 한 MIME (Multipurpose Intedent Mail Extensions)을 기반으로 멀티미디어 전자우편 시스템을 설계 구현하였다. 복수개의 멀티미디어 메세지를 하나의 전자우편안에 포함시켜 전송할 수 있으며, 오디오, 이미지, 그래픽스와 같은 멀티미디어 데이타를 전자우편을 통한 자료교환에서 기존의 텍스트와 같이 손쉽게 처리할 수 있도록 하여, 기존의 전자우편망을 이용한 멀티미디어 전송, 처리를 사용자가 손쉽게 할 수 있는 전자우편 시스템을 설계, 구현 하였다. 이에 보다 나은 멀티미디어 전자우편 시스템의 개발에 근간이 될 수 있도록 한다. This paper explains design and implementation of Multimedia E-mail system as a research on multimedia service. It is based on MIME(Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions) which extends RFC822. MIME is a standard mail tran sfer protocol which can include multiple objects in a single message, represent non-textual material such as images and audio, exchange without loss of multimedia information through SMTP(Simple Mail Transfer Protocol). It is implementation of Multimedia Mail system which can store, delete, edit and tran sfer multimedia mail misgave in user friendly way on UNIX system. It aims tp develope framework for multimedia E-mail system.
후 골간 혈관경을 이용한 도상피판에 의한 손목 및 수부 연부조직 결손의 수복

The traditionally useful coverage methods of the wrist and hand soft tissue defect are the chinese forearm flap, the ulnar forearm flap. But, this flaps are inevitably sacrifice major vessel to the hand. Advantages of the posterior interosseous artery island flap(PIA Flap) is no need to sacrifice blood supply to the hand and supply relatively large thin, good quality flap and more cosmetic than other forearm flaps. But, it is difficult to dissect and raise because of deep seat, close relation with the posterior interosseous nerve and anatomic variation. Authors evaluated 8 cases of 7 patients in the department of orthopaedic surgery, college of medicine, Hallym University from January, 1993 to December, 1995. The results are as follows: 1. The satisfactory coverage was achieved 7 cases and 1 case failed because of anatomic variation. 2 The pedicle length is average 9cm and the flap size is variable from 3cm by 4cm to 5cm by 8cm. 3. The donor site defect was repaired by direct closure in 5 cases, remained 3 cases combined with skin graft. From our experience we conclude that the PIA flap is one of the useful coverage methods of the wrist and hand soft tissue defect.
