The attitude of the Korean for dwelling house and the viewpoints about nature are described in 'Shijo(a kind of short lyric poem)'. The purpose of this study is to find out the concepts of Korean traditional dwelling house through the 'Shijo'. The results of study are as follows. The concept of the traditional house is that the houses are regarded as a place of ideal seclusion, a part of nature, a resting place, a place of social life. The garden was composed of the natural and artificial element on principle of naturalness and introduction of the natural landscape, and the composition elements of the garden had the symbolic meanings.

Objective: Clozapine is known as an atypical antipsychotic drug which has less side effects in the extrapyramidal system than typical antipsychotic drugs and recommended as a treatment of choice in severe tardive dyskinesia (TD). However, it has been reported that the existing TD was worsened or new TD appeared in some cases where the antipsychotic drugs were switched to clozapine. Methods: We experienced a single case in which TD was appeared in the tongue and jaw 5 months after chlorpromazine was switched to clozapine. Results: The subject was 57 years old male patient with bipolar disorder. He had been treated intermittently with lithium and chlorpromazine for over 30 years. Five months after switching from chlorpromazine to clozapine, TD appeared in the tongue and jaw. Using Extrapyramidal Symptom Rating Scale (ESRS), the dyskinesia score was 10. Hence, clozapine was stopped and chlorpromazine was re-administrated resulting gradual improvement of TD. The dyskinesia score of ESRS was dropped to 6. Conclusions: It is speculated that this case is most likely a withdrawal tardive dyskinesia but other possibilities should be considered too. The question “Does withdrawal tardive dyskinesia occur more easily when switched to clozapine which has a weak dopamine antagonism?” should be addressed in future study.
고도 호열성 Archaebacterium Thermococcus profundus가 생산하는 Amylolytic Enzymes

심해 분화구에서 분리된 초고온성 archebacterium인 Pyrococcus furiosus DT5432는 α-1,4 또는 α-1, 6-glucoside 결합을 가진 탄수화물 함유 배지에서 균체외 amylase과 pullulanase, 균체내 α-glucosidase를 생성하였는데 0.5% maltose첨가시에 균체외 amylolytic효소의 생성능이 가장 우수하였다. DEAE-Toyopearl column chromatography와 활성염색의 결과가 2종류의 amylase가 생성되었는데, 이 효소들은 pH 5.5, 80℃에서 최적활성을 보였고, pH 5.5∼9.5, 80℃에서 30분간 안정하였다. 중온성 미생물 유래의 amylase와 빠르게 효소활성을 위해 Ca^2+ 이온을 요구하지 않았으며 SDS, Triton X-100과 같은 계면활성제에 1.0% 농도까지 안정성이 확인되었다. Amylase는 soluble starch, amylose, amyiopectin 및 glycogen등을 분해시켜 주생성물인 maltose와 maltotriose외에 미량의 glucose를 생성시켰으며 그리고 maltotetraose 이상의 oligosaccharide도 용이하게 분해시켰다. The hyperthermophilic archaebacterium Thermococcus profundus isolated from a deep-sea hydrothermal vent system, produced several amylolytic enzymes such as extracellular amylase and pullulanase, intracellular α-l,4-glucosidase in respone to the presence of complex carbohydrates in the growth medium. This strain showed high activities on 0.5% maltose than on complex carbohydrates One of the amylases was partially purified by ammonium sulfate precipitation, DEAE-Toyopearl chromatography. The amylase exhibited maximal activity at pH 5.5 and 80℃, and was stable in the range of pH 5.5 to 9.5 and up to 80℃ for 30min. The enzyme activity was no dependence on Ca^2+ and not inhibited by detergents. The amylase hydrolyzed soluble starch, amylose, amylopectin and glycogen to produce maltose and maltotriose with trace amounts of glucose, but not pullulan and α-, β-, γ- cyclodextrin. Malto-oligosaccharides ranging from maltotetraose to maltoheptaose were hydrolyzed in an endo fashion.
