        Inhibition of ClC-5 suppresses proliferation and induces apoptosis in cholangiocarcinoma cells through the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway

        Chloride channel-5 (ClC-5), an important branch of the ClC family, is involved in the regulation of the proliferation and cell-fate of a variety of cells, including tumor cells. However, its function in cholangiocarcinoma (CCA) cells remains enigmatic. Here, we discovered that ClC-5 was up-regulated in CCA tissues and CCA cell lines, while ClC-5 silencing inhibited CCA cell proliferation and induced apoptosis. Further mechanism studies revealed that ClC-5 inhibition could inhibit Wnt/β-catenin signaling activity and further activate the mitochondria apoptotic pathway in CCA cells. Furthermore, rescuing Wnt/β-catenin signaling activation eliminated the anti-tumor function of ClC-5 knockdown. Together, our research findings illustrated that ClC-5 inhibition plays an anti-tumor role in CCA cells via inhibiting the activity of the Wnt/β-catenin pathway, which in turn activates the mitochondrial apoptotic pathway.         조지 스타이너의 해석학으로 본 역자 주체성: 중국어 성어를 중심으로

        조지 스타이너(G. Steiner)를 대표로 하는 해석학파들은 ‘번역은 이해의 과정’으로, 이해를 위해서는 해석이 동반하며 역자의 주관적인 능동성이 발휘된다고 주장하였다. 그리고 번역의 실제 작업뿐만 아니라 번역이론의 연구에도 역자의 주체의식이 존재한다는 것을 보편적인 현상으로 간주한다. 역자는 텍스트의 선정, 번역 전의 준비 단계부터 원문에 대한 정독과 이해, 아울러 재해석을 위한 번역전략의 채택 등에서 중심적 지위에 있다. 따라서 역자는 원문의 의미적, 형식적, 문화적, 미학적인 가치를 재현하기 위해서 자신의 능동성을 최대한 발휘하게 된다. 이러한 역자의 능동성을 살펴보기 위하여 본 연구에서는 조지 스타이너가 제시한 해석학적 운동의 4단계에 입각하여 서로 다른 역자에 의해 한국어로 번역된 중국 문학 작품 4권중의 중국어 성어(成語)를 연구 대상으로 삼고 이에 대응되는 번역전략을 분석하였다. 분석 결과를 스타이너의 해석학 번역 4단계로 보면, 성어 번역에 있어 역자들은 대체적으로 침투와 결합 단계에 진입하고 보상단계까지 이르는 경우는 상대적으로 아주적었다. 또한 침투를 넘어 결합 단계에 이르는 번역은 그 비중이 더 큰 것을 알 수 있었다. 그리고 성어 번역 전략에 있어서 역자들은 주로 ‘일반화>이국화>자국화>창조적 설명>생략’ 순으로 전략을 택했으며, 역자에 따라 전략의 사용빈도에서 다소 차이를 보였다. 더불어 역자들은 성어의 글자 의미에 얽매이지 않고 작품 속의 실제 상황과 맥락에 따라 성어를 재해석하면서 창조적인 번역을 하는 양상도 찾아볼 수 있었다. 본 연구를 통해 원문과 역문의 평형을 재구축하고 문화 간의 의사소통을 조율하기 위한 역자의 주체적인 존재를 성찰할 수 있었다. Translation is the process of transferring different ways of thinking and cultural elements from one language into another, which is the same concept as diaspora between countries. The school of Hermeneutics, represented by George Steiner, states that translation is a process of understanding, and a translator shows their subjectivity which is accompanied by their interpretation for reaching an understanding. Also, it’s a common phenomenon that the translator’s sense of identity is not only found in the practice of translation, but also in the study of translation theory. During the text selection, the intensive reading of text in the translation preparation process, and the choose of translation strategy for reinterpretation, the translator is the central actor in these processes. Therefore, translator needs to use their initiative to completely reproduce the semantic value, formal value, literary value, and aesthetic value of the source text. In order to explore the translator’s initiative, four steps in the Hermeneutics movement proposed by George Steiner were applied in this study, analyzing the proper translation strategy by studying Chinese idioms. In order to translate Chinese idioms into Korean, this thesis explores how translator intervenes in the translation process and what translation strategies the translator chooses. In addition, this study also confirms the common translation strategies for Chinese idioms in the practice of literary translation.

        Synthesis and anticonvulsant activity evaluation of 8-alkoxy-5-(4H-1,2,4-triazol-4-yl)quinoline derivatives

        Two series of 8-alkoxy-5-(4H-1,2,4-triazol-4-yl)quinolines and 8-alkoxy-5-(2H-1,2,4-triazol-3-one-4-yl)quinolineswere synthesized.The anticonvulsant activity ofthese compounds was evaluated with maximal electroshockseizure test and rotarod test. Among the synthesized compounds,8-octoxy-5-(4H-1,2,4-triazol-4-yl)quinoline (4g)was the most active compound with ED50 of 8.80 mg/kg,TD50 of 176.03 mg/kg and protective index of 20.0. Itsneurotoxicity was lower than all other synthesized compoundsand also markedly lower than that of the referencedrug carbamazepine. In addition, the potency of compound 4gagainst seizures induced by pentylenetetrazole, 3-mercaptopropionicacid, and bicuculline suggested its broad spectrumactivity, and the mechanisms of action including inhibition ofvoltage-gated ion channels and modulation of GABAergicactivity might involve in its anticonvulsant activity.

      • An Optimized Multi-load Wireless Power Transfer System with Constant Load Currents

        This paper proposes a multi-load wireless power transfer (WPT) system using repeater coils. The repeater unit that contains two repeater units is designed. The series-parallel-series (SPS) compensation method is used for each repeater unit. The constant load current for all the loads can be obtained with suitable resonant condition when neglecting the coils’ parasitic resistances. A feasible coil structure is designed where the two repeater coils in the same repeater unit are both bipolar that are placed perpendicularly so that the coupling between them can be neglected. A ferrite plate is inserted between the two bipolar coils in each repeater unit to enhance the magnetic coupling between adjacent units. Moreover, the proposed system has been optimized so that the system efficiency can be improved. The simulation results are given to validate the effectiveness of the proposed WPT system.

        종녀성형상소조간노사문화심리적전통주향(從女性形象塑造看老舍文化心理的傳統走向)

        生活在中國社會由傳統向現代轉變時期的老舍, 具有非常自覺的現代意識 ; 但這現代意識突出表現在政治思想, 社會理想, 創作理論等顯在層面上, 在其文化心理深處, 欲是遠比現代意識更爲濃重的傳統意識. 老舍的傳統意識表現在家庭生活, 衣食住行, 婚姻愛情, 道德操守等衆多方面, 表現在他文學世界的諸多方面, 而在女性形象塑造中表現得更是特別突出. 本文擬就此進行分析. 북경의 빈민촌 大雜院에서 성장한 현대작가 老舍는 비록 현대문화와 현대문명의 영향을 광범위하게 받았지만, 본인의 문화심태 근저에 많은 부분들은 여전히 전통적인 측면에 머물러 있다. 작품 속의 다양한 여성상에는 이러한 점이 부각되어 나타나는바, 예컨대 老舍는 현모양처의 여성상을 찬미하여, 윤락녀들은 동정하고, 보수적이고 나이든 부녀자들을 가련히 여기며, 반면에 가정독재자나 모던한(현대적인) 엘리트여성들에 대해서는 극도의 혐오감을 나타내고 있다. 이는 老舍 본인이 情感 혹은 思想면에 있어서 현대적인 사상보다는 전통적인 사상을 간직하고 있음을 의미한다.

      • Experimental Evaluation on Shape and Control of Chip in Milling of PE WPC

        This paper the regular patterns of chip flow, chip curler radius and thickness under different cutting parameters when processing PE WPC with different wood flour contents under the condition of up milling and down milling. Compared with up milling, down milling has greater impact on chip flow direction and cutting speed. However, there are more dust-shaped chips in the up milling. In the down milling, chip curler has less change with cutting parameters. Only when the feed speed is 14m/min or the cutting speed is 1800m/min, the chip curl radius is larger. The chip thickness increases when the feed speed or the cutting width increases and decreases when the cutting speed increases.

        Role of peripheral vestibular receptors in the control of blood pressure following hypotension

        Hypotension is one of the potential causes of dizziness. In this review, we summarize the studies published in recent years about the electrophysiological and pharmacological mechanisms of hypotension-induced dizziness and the role of the vestibular system in the control of blood pressure in response to hypotension. It is postulated that ischemic excitation of the peripheral vestibular hair cells as a result of a reduction in blood flow to the inner ear following hypotension leads to excitation of the central vestibular nuclei, which in turn may produce dizziness after hypotension. In addition, excitation of the vestibular nuclei following hypotension elicits the vestibulosympathetic reflex, and the reflex then regulates blood pressure by a dualcontrol (neurogenic and humoral control) mechanism. In fact, recent studies have shown that peripheral vestibular receptors play a role in the control of blood pressure through neural reflex pathways. This review illustrates the dual-control mechanism of peripheral vestibular receptors in the regulation of blood pressure following hypotension.
