Polybrominated diphenyl ethers(PBDEs) was measured in soil samples of Ansung in Kyonggi-province to investigate concentration characteristics of PBDEs. Total concentration of PBDE were 2,205.3 pg/g dry weight (DW) in soil sample. BDE-209 showed as the most abundant congener in soil samples which was related to imported amount and usage amount of deca-BDE technical mixture in Korea. Also, BDE-99, BDE-47, BDE-100 deposition in soil sample was higher than other congeners and was related to the imported and usage amount reported for penta-BDE technical mixture in Korea. Correlation coefficient between PBDE contribution and technical mixture formulation(Bromokal 70-5DE) were significant(r=0.91, p<0.01) which suggests the influence of sources in this technical mixtures.

In this study, thr air flow-meter was developed which can control the air flow rate with the load of the engine and to measure air flow rate using Karman vortex. In the experiment, the sensor consists of an air channel with a triangular strut(bluff body) to generate the Karman vortex street, a couple of ultrasonic transmitter and receiver, to detect vortex. The results obtained from these experiments are as follows;air flow rate can be measured by detecting Karman vortex with ultrasonic sensors, vortex frequency is linearly proportion to the air flow rate. To measure air flow rate, the width of bluff body and the number of stability plate used in air flow rate sensor are 7㎜ and 2. Air flow sensor developed at this experiment can be used for Internal combustion engine, and for various purposes, too.
가축분뇨를 이용한 SNCR공정에서 NSR 비율에 따른 NOx 반응특성

런던협약에 따라 2012년부터 해양투기가 전면 금지 됨에 따라 가축사육과정에서 발생하는 가축분뇨 처리에 있어서 환경적, 경제적인 문제를 보완할 수 있는 효율적 처리기술이 필요하다. 최근 농가당 가축사육 머리수가 증가하고 있어 가축사육수는 급격하게 증가하며, 이로 인해 사육과정에서 발생되는 가축분뇨 발생량은 계속 증가할 전망이다. 가축분뇨는 가축사육 특성에 다라 저장·관리 방법에 따른 뇨와 분을 분리하여 발생하는 액상(Liquid Phase) 및 고상(Soild Phase)으로 구분되며, 분뇨가 세척수와 혼합된 상태로 발생하는 슬러리상(Slurry Phase)으로 구분하여 처리하고 있다. 처리하는 가축분뇨는 수분함량이 높은 경우 퇴비화 시 톱밥등의 수분조절재가 과다로 투입되어 경제성이 낮아지고, 수분함량이 낮은 경우에 액비화시 공정수의 추가 및 희석하는 공정을 별도로 설치해야 되는 경제적인 문제가 발생할 수 있다. 또한 환경공단 악취관리센터 보도자료(2016)에 의하면 2015년도 전국 악취 민원은 15,573건 발생하였으며, 이 중에 농축산시설의 악취민원수가 4,323건(28%)로 높은 비중을 차지하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 가축분뇨를 처리하기위해 환원제로 이용할 경우 실제 SNCR공정에서 상용되고 있는 환원제와 비교하여 NSR비에 따른 NOx의 특성을 알아보고자 하였다.

Background: Panax ginseng (i.e., ginseng) root is extensively used in traditional oriental medicine. It is a modern pharmaceutical reagent for preventing various human diseases such as cancer. Ginsenosidesd-the major active components of ginsengdexhibit immunomodulatory effects. However, the mechanism and function underlying such effects are not fully elucidated, especially in human monocytes and dendritic cells (DCs). Methods: We investigated the immunomodulatory effect of ginsenosides from Panax ginseng root on CD14⁺ monocytes purified from human adult peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) and on their differentiation into DCs that affect CD4⁺ T cell activity. Results: After treatment with ginsenoside fractions, monocyte levels of tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α, interleukin (IL)-6, and IL-10 increased through phosphorylation of extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK)1/2 and c-Jun N-terminal kinase (JNK), but not p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK). After treatment with ginsenoside fractions, TNF-α production and phosphorylation of ERK1/2 and JNK decreased in lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-sensitized monocytes.We confirmed that DCs derived from CD14⁺ monocytes in the presence of ginsenoside fractions (Gin-DCs) contained decreased levels of the costimulatory molecules CD80 and CD86. The expression of these costimulatory molecules decreased in LPS-treated DCs exposed to ginsenoside fractions, compared to their expression in LPS-treated DCs in the absence of ginsenoside fractions. Furthermore, LPS-treated Gin-DCs could not induce proliferation and interferon gamma (IFN-γ) production by CD4⁺ T cells with the coculture of Gin-DCs with CD4⁺ T cells. Conclusion: These results suggest that ginsenoside fractions from the ginseng root suppress cytokine production and maturation of LPS-treated DCs and downregulate CD4⁺ T cells.
