        Plasmonic Nanoantennae Fabricated by Focused Ion Beam Milling

        We show a novel approach to fabricate plasmonic nanoantennae based on a maskless focused ion beam nanoring patterning process. Antenna nanoarrays with desired outlines are achieved by precisely controlling the geometric parameters during the milling process. Various nanoantenna designs of bow-tie, nanoclusters (pentamers), and ellipsoid shaped satellites surrounded particle lattices arerealized. The whole fabrication method is programmable and monolithic since only a one-step milling process is involved. The opticalproperties are experimentally characterized. Such nanoantennae may find extensive applications in chemical/bio-sensing due toremarkably enhanced near field intensity at the plasmon resonance.

        Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a transmissible respiratory disease that was initially reported in Wuhan, China in December 2019. With the alarming levels of COVID-19 spread worldwide, the World Health Organization characterized COVID-19 as a pandemic. Over the past several months, chest CT has played a vital role in early identification, disease severity assessment, and dynamic disease course monitoring of COVID-19. The published data has enriched our knowledge on the etiology, epidemiology, clinical manifestations, and pathologic findings of COVID-19. Additionally, as the imaging spectrum of the disease continues to be defined, extrapulmonary infections or other complications will require further attention. This review aims to provide an updated framework and essential knowledge with which radiologists can better understand COVID-19.

        Reliability analysis of martial arts arena robot systems based on fuzzy set theory

        The reliability of the martial arts robot, which is a popular object of the intelligent robot competitions, is studied in this paper. Due to various uncertainties, the precise models of failure probabilities can’t be established. The fuzzy set theory is adopted to enable dynamic quantitative analysis of the system reliability, and the triangular fuzzy numbers are used to represent the failure possibility of basic events. To obtain the fuzzy failure probability importance of basic events, the fault mechanism of the martial arts arena system is studied. The intelligent robot system is evaluated by qualitative analysis and quantitative calculation. The results of this paper can provide theoretical analysis of the fault diagnosis and useful suggestion for maintenance of the martial arts robot.

        Chatter reliability prediction of side milling aero-engine blisk

        Reliability analysis of a dynamic structural system is applied to predict chatter of side milling system for machining blisk. Chatter reliability is defined as the probability of stability for processing. A reliability model of chatter was developed to forecast chatter vibration of side milling, where structure parameters and spindle speed are regarded as random variables and chatter frequency is considered as intermediate variable. The first-order second-moment method was used to work out the side milling system reliability model. Reliability lobe diagram (RLD) was applied to distinguish reliable regions of chatter instead of stability lobe diagram (SLD). One example is used to validate the effectiveness of the proposed method and compare with the Monte Carlo method. The results of the two approaches were consistent. Chatter reliability and RLD could be used to determine the probability of stability of side milling.

        현대 중국에서의 법 이해에 대한 고찰 -중국의 법 개념의 원류(源流)를 추적하는 작업의 일환으로-

        본 논문은 현대 중국에서 ``법``이 어떻게 정의(定義)되고 있고 중국식 법 인식의 기원(起源)이 어디에 있는가를 추적하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 논문은 중국에서 ``법``의 몇몇 사용례를 검토한 후, 이러한 법 이해의 배후에는 두 가지 사상적 계보, 즉 전통적인 중국의 법사상과 1949년 이후 구소련을 통해 들어온 마르크스주의 법 이해의 영향이 있다고 분석하였다. 서양의 일반적인 법인식과 비교해 볼 경우, 중국식 법 이해에는 강한 법실증주의의 경향, 법에 대한 도구론적 이해 및 이른바 ``rule of law``와는 다른 ``法治``의 관념등의 특징이 보인다. 법 개념에 대한 이와 같은 고찰은, 중국에서 현재 일어나고 있는 각종 법제 현상, 나아가 현대 중국 사회를 이해하는 데에도 도움이 될 것이다. The purpose of this article is to define ``the law (fa)`` in modern China and trace the origin of the Chinese common understanding of law. After reviewing several examples of ``the law`` in China, the author analyzed that the Chinese understanding of law is under the influence of two ideological pedigrees, that is, traditional Chinese legal ideology and Marxist law through the former Soviet Union after 1949. Compared with the western legal cognition, the Chinese understanding of law has strong tendency of legal positivism and instrumental understanding of law. Moreover, the concept of ``法治= fazhi`` in China is different from ``rule of law``. The study of such legal concept helps to understand current status of legal system and the modern Chinese society.

        일본국 헌법 제9조의 성립과 해석에 관한 일고찰

        전쟁포기를 규정한 일본국 헌법 제9조는 일본 헌법학 나아가 일본 사회에서 매우 중요한 논쟁거리 중 하나다. 2012년에 출범한 아베정권은 이 헌법 제9조에 대한 정부의 해석을 다시 한 번 크게 바꾸어 놓았다. 아베내각이 각의결정(閣議決定)의 형식으로, 일본은 개별적 자위권뿐만 아니라 집단적 자위권을 행사할 권한도 있다고 선언한 것이다. 본 논문은 최근 헌법 제9조를 둘러싼 일본 헌법학계의 관련 논의를 이해하기 위한 하나의 실마리를 제공하려는 데 그 목적이 있다. 구체적으로는 입헌주의의 시각에서 출발하여 일본국 헌법 제9조의 입법과정, 해석 및 그 변경 가능성에 대해 검토하려 하는 것이다. 특히 논문에서는 이른바 형식적 의미의 입헌주의와 실질적 의미의 입헌주의를 구분하고, 이러한 입헌주의에 대한 이해가 헌법 제9조의 해석과 어떻게 관계되는지에 대해 자세히 살펴보았다. Article 9 of the Japanese Constitution renouncing war is one of the most disputed issues in Japanese society. The Abe administration launched in 2012, took great steps to change the interpretation of Article 9, by declaring that Japan has the right to not only exercise individual self-defense, but also collective self-defense. The purpose of this paper is to provide a perspective for understanding the recent constitutional discussions and studies in Japan. This paper examines the legislative history of the Japanese Constitution, divided interpretations of Article 9, and the possibility of amending this article from the viewpoint of constitutionalism. Especially, this paper distinguishes the formal understanding of constitutionalism from the material understanding of constitutionalism, and looks into how these differences are related to the interpretation of Article 9.

        병해충으로 인한 피해가 날이 갈수록 커지고 있다. 특히 고위험 문제 병해충의 피해를 최소화하기 위해서는 병해충의 빠른 진단은 필수이다. 최근 인공지능 기술의 발전으로 많은 병해충 진단 연구에서는 딥러닝 기술을 사용하고 있다. 하지만 병해충은 계절성을 띄고 있고 정확한 병해충 이미지를 수집하기 위해서는 전문가의 도움이 필요하기 때문에 정확한 병해충 이미지 수집에 한계가 있다. 부족한 병해충 이미지를 늘리기 위해 본 논문에서는 현재 제공되고 있는 병해충 이미지 데이터 셋과 최신의 데이터 증강(Data Augmentation) 연구를 조사했다.

      • Susceptibility of Lung Cancer with Polymorphisms of CYP1A1, GSTM1, GSTM3, GSTT1 and GSTP1 Genotypes in the Population of Inner Mongolia Region

        Background: To study the relationship of susceptibility to lung cancer with the gene polymorphisms of CYP1A1, GSTM1, GSTM3, GSTT1, GSTP1 and smoking status in Han and Mongolian populations of Inner Mongolia, an autonomous region of China. Materials and Methods: PCR-RFLP, allele-specific and multiplex PCR were employed to identify the genotypes of CYP1A1, GSTM1, GSTM3, GSTT1 and GSTP1 in a case-control study of 322 lung cancer patients diagnosed by bronchoscopy and 456 controls free of malignancy. Results: There is a significant difference in genotypic frequency of GSTT1 of healthy Mongolian and Han subjects. A statistically prominent association was found between CYP1A1 Msp1 (vt/vt) (OR=4.055, 95%CI:2.107-7.578, p=0.000), GSTM1 (-) (OR=2.290, 95%CI:1.467-3.573, p=0.000) and lung cancer in Mongolians. Similarly, in the Han population, CYP1A1 Msp1 (vt/vt) (OR=3.194, 95%CI:1.893-5.390, p=0.000) and GSTM1 (-) (OR=1.884, 95%CI:1.284-2.762, p=0.001) carriers also had an elevated risk of lung cancer. The smokers were more susceptible to lung cancer 2.144 fold and 1.631 fold than non-smokers in Mongolian and Han populations, respectively. The smokers who carried with CYP1A1 Msp1 (wt/vt+vt/vt), exon7 (Val/Val+Ile /Val), GSTM1 (-), GSTM3 (AB+BB), and GSTT1 (-) respectively were found all to have a high risk of lung cancer. Conclusions: CYP1A1 Msp1 (vt/vt) and GSTM1 (-) are risk factors of lung cancer in Han and Mongolian population in the Inner Mongolia region. The smokers with CYP1A1 Msp1 (wt/vt+vt/vt), CYP1A1 exon7 (Val/Val+Ile /Val), GSTM1 (-), GSTM3 (AB+BB), and GSTT1 (-) genotypes, respectively, are at elevated risk of lung cancer.

      • Study on the Relationship Between CXCR4 Expression and Perineural Invasion in Pancreatic Cancer

        Background: Recent reports have shown that C-X-C chemokine receptor 4 (CXCR4) plays an important role in metastasis. Despite a clear understanding of the protein's structure and properties, its functional role remains elusive. We conducted the present study to evaluate the expressions of CXCR4 in pancreatic cancer, and to investigate its relationship with clinicopathological parameters, especially perineural invasion(PNI). Materials and Methods: The association between CXCR4 expression and perineural invasion was determined by immunohistochemistry in pancreatic cancer patients (n=51). Results: CXCR4 expression was correlated with the existence of PNI and the type of PNI (p=0.042, p=0.040). TIMP-2 expression was also correlated with the existence, the pathway and degree of PNI (p=0.000, p=0.006, p=0.000). Conclusions: Our results suggest an association between PNI and expression of CXCR4 and TIMP-2 in pancreatic cancer. CXCR4 may promote the occurrence of PNI in pancreatic cancer cells by decreasing the inhibition of TIMPs on MMP.

        Repair of Lateral Hemisection Lesion in Spinal Cord Using Schwann Cells Differentiated from Subcutaneous Fat Tissue Delivered in Fibrin Plug

        Previously, we showed that rat subcutaneous fat tissue comprises of nestin-expressing spheroids, which are efficiently induced to Schwann cells (SCs) in vitro under the inducing condition and display Schwann cell properties in vivo. In this study, we investigated whether induced SCs could be engaged in the repair of the lateral hemisection lesion of the rat spinal cord using PKH26-labeled cells and also tested the feasibility of fibrin glue as a cell delivery vehicle in the blunt gap lesion. At the end of twelve weeks after the transplantation, the lesion site was fully filled with the regenerated tissue, which contained PKH26-labeled cells and P0 expressing cells. Some of PKH26-labeled cells were shown as a hollow tube-like structure, which was co-localized with the P0 antigen. Several types of neurons were also detected in the regenerated tissue. Among them, a few GABAnergic interneuron, CGRP positive neurons, and serotonergic neurons were found at the hemisection lesion site, which were probably infiltrated to the lesion site from the surrounding normal tissue. However, in the control lesion which received fibrin glue only, the majority of lesion site was filled with connective tissue containing numerous fibroblasts and relatively fewer SCs and neurons compared to those in SCs treated group. Thus, the induced SCs delivered with fibrin glue survived at the lesion site in the spinal cord and engaged in the myelin sheath regeneration. Furthermore, SCs along with the fibrin glue, applied as a cell delivery vehicle, seem to provide permissive microenvironment for the active infiltration of host neural and glial cells from the uninjured neighboring tissue.
